Review for Rialto Animal Hospital…read more I can't speak highly enough about my experience at Rialto Animal Hospital! From the moment I stepped in, it was clear that they prioritize not just the health of the pets but also the well-being of their families. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, making you feel at ease right away. Dr. Guirges is absolutely amazing. She took the time to explain every detail regarding my dog, Juno, who is a 4-year-old husky mix with a torn CCL. Her clarity and thoroughness made a potentially stressful situation much easier to handle. You can really tell that she cares about what's best for the animals in her care. The vet tech, Rebecca and Manager, Genevieve were equally as helpful answering my many questions and concerns in person, via phone calls and emails. They were very professional and did an outstanding job keeping me in the loop on Juno's care. The follow-up was impressive as well. They got back to me quickly with a surgery date for Juno, which I greatly appreciated. It's evident that the team at Rialto Animal Hospital is committed to providing top-notch care and support. If you're looking for a place where both pets and their families are treated with kindness and respect, Rialto Animal Hospital is the place to go!

Through every stage of life--from routine checkups to emergencies and even the heartbreaking end-of-life decisions for my senior kitties--they have consistently provided exceptional care, compassion, and support. Dr. Ellsberg has been absolutely wonderful and seamlessly took over caring for our pets after Dr. Reid left. She is knowledgeable, kind, patient, and always takes the time to answer my questions. Dr. Espinoza has also been fantastic, and I have complete confidence in the care they both provide. A special thank you to Dr. Dupree, who stepped in as the acting physician and helped guide us through the difficult journey of saying goodbye to our senior cats. The compassion and dignity they showed during such an emotional time meant more to our family than words can express. What really sets this clinic apart, though, is that every single person is amazing. The veterinary technicians and receptionists know us and our pets, greet us like family, and genuinely care. You never feel like just another appointment on the schedule. There is no one else I trust with my animals. If you're looking for a veterinary practice that combines exceptional medical care with truly compassionate people, I cannot recommend them highly enough.

My Sadie already had an appointment set with Dr. Duprez and she was seen again by Dr. Duprez and more extensive tests were done. Then my little man had a large growth on his side.. I already had an appointment with Dr. Duprez for him but it was growing quickly so Dr. Duprez got him in quickly and also fit him in for surgery to remove the mass. Most recently, I brought my cat in for an eye issue and was quoted over $600 for an exam, sedation, tests, and medication. The price immediately felt extremely high, especially for an eye infection, so I decided to call another veterinary clinic to compare. The other clinic examined both of my cat's eyes, and the total cost came out to under $120 including medication. They also determined that sedation was not necessary at all. My cat was calm, friendly, and even purring during the exam, which made me question why sedation was being pushed so strongly at the first clinic. This clinic does not allow pet owners to accompany their animals due to "safety protocols," so it left me wondering how my cat was being handled during the visit. Another frustrating part of the experience is that you don't actually speak directly with the doctor. All communication goes through the technician, who goes back and forth between you and the doctor. As a pet owner, I would much rather speak directly with the veterinarian responsible for my pet's care, instead of receiving information through a middle person. At the other clinic, the doctor was with me during the entire exam, explaining everything step by step, which felt much more transparent and reassuring. What also shocked me was that they mentioned charging a fee for each CPR attempt in case of an emergency. As a worried pet owner, hearing about additional charges like that felt extremely discouraging and overwhelming. Isn't the priority supposed to be protecting the life of the animal under their care? This unfortunately isn't my first bad experience here. During a previous visit, my cat needed a cast. After the procedure, she was still sedated and very sleepy, and the cast fell off immediately after we got home. She had barely moved, so it clearly wasn't my fault or my cat's fault. I called the clinic hoping they would fix it since it appeared to be an issue with how the cast was applied, but they charged me again to redo it. At the time I didn't push for a refund because my cat's wellbeing came first. Looking back now after this second experience, I truly feel I deserve a refund for that cast, since the issue was not caused by anything I did or by my cat. I do want to say that the front desk staff have always been kind and supportive, and I appreciate them. However, overall my experiences with this clinic have been very disappointing. I care deeply about my cat and want a veterinary office that is honest, transparent, and focused on the animal's wellbeing, not adding unnecessary services that dramatically increase the bill. There are other veterinary clinics in the area that provide great care without making pet owners feel this way. I strongly encourage others to seek a second opinion before committing to treatment here.

The urgent care wanted her to stay there all day, and didn't know what time she could actually be seen by the vet, and quoted me upwards of $1,000 to even get a diagnosis. I decided to try to call around, and Walnut was able to get me in within an hour. I really appreciate that Dr. Diana Lee was very patient and gentle with my dog who is small and elderly. She wanted to do bloodwork first, and see if that turned up anything before running extra tests. They only had to keep my dog for less than an hour to run her bloodwork, and give her a hydration treatment. She did end up having an infection, so she was prescribed antibiotics & probiotics. All of this, with my dog being able to come home in under two hours cost me a few hundred dollars less than I was quoted for just the diagnostics at the urgent care. I could tell the very next day my dog was already starting to feel better, and she didn't have any more diarrhea. She is now back to normal, living her best life thanks to Dr. Lee and the team at Walnut Village!

I took my cat here as he had developed what seemed like a over grooming irritation. The first doctor he saw, Dr Yoon looked in one ear and said he was fine and that "food was just food and I could feed him whatever." He prescribed my cat a pack of steroids that made him half sick and sent him home . After a couple weeks and no relief I was relieved when Dr Halstead called me to give me my dear cats lab results. Dr Halstead is the only vet there that seemed to actually care and have a wonderful bedside manner. Dr Halstead recommended injection steroids and admitted that he never would have prescribed tablet steroids and welcome to me in for a second exam. Having told me that he himself prescribed injections for his own cat's allergies I hesitantly agreed. Unfortunately my cat reacted terribly and I called the next week to try and find some sort of help! Only to be met with Dr Austin's uncaring attitude and flagrant disregard for where my cat stood in his health. Even stating that this could just be "Behavioral" when obviously he was not this ill and this overly uncomfortable before he was riddled with steroids! Unfortunately Dr Halstead was going to be out of the country for several more weeks so I even asked if she would reexamine him and she begrudgedly agreed and set a date to see him. When I called to cancel the appointment because I found a much more caring and reputable Hospital I have now taken him to, I found that she had never even put the appointment on the books! I asked who the director may be that I may speak with them about a grievance with the hospital.. only to be told that Dr Jillian Austin was the director! I was completely astonished and somewhat disgusted... her behavior! And the behavior of others there. Our pets are not pets they are family members, our children! Her absolute disregard, flagrant dismissive attitude, and lack of care obviously; I can only be grateful that I found another such wonderful Hospital at the recommendation of a close colleague to take him to so quickly! Shame on you!
