Dr. Holgers has been so amazing and incredibly helpful to me, finally getting me answers and finding solutions to the pain that I've been having for many, many years. Not only is he extremely knowledgeable and thorough, but he is super friendly and personable, and he never rushes through the appointment. In fact, he's the first doctor that I've ever seen that has asked me if there was anything else that I wanted to address at what would have otherwise been the end of my appointment. At that moment I knew that Dr. Holgers was actually invested in making me healthier and pain-free. I was referred to Dr. Ruff for a neurosurgery consult and again was so impressed. She explained in great detail the surgery, as well as the pros and cons and was excellent at answering my questions and concerns. She was very friendly, clearly knowledgeable, and obviously committed to helping me make the best decision for me. I've also had two procedures performed here by Dr. Fredericks that had great outcomes. But just as importantly, the procedures themselves went very smoothly. Dr. Fredericks explained his every step so I was always aware of what was happening and exactly what to expect. He was very patient with my questions, he laughed at my really bad jokes, realized I was probably a bit nervous, and kept the atmosphere light and fun, rather than all serious and sterile...All the while performing very intricate and precise, but most importantly successful pain-relieving procedures. Lastly, this clinic also has a great physical therapy department. I worked with Johnathan and he was friendly, fun and great at motivating me, as well as great at explaining the mechanics of the body and how the exercises I was doing would affect my back and neck pain. Also, the Med X system that I completed was great and especially helpful for strengthening my neck and relieving neck pain. Overall, I (clearly) am thrilled to have found this Spine Clinic and the doctors and therapists there. I feel like I am finally on the path to a future free of back and neck pain and I am so thankful for all those at the M Health Fairview Spine Clinic who have helped me get to this point! Some nurses are better to initiate IV therapy because they know how to not leave bruises. There are 8 IV chairs and they don't over schedule so it's never crowded. The overhead light is super fluorescent for the Nurses to find veins but too bright for me. Plenty of parking for patients as the staff park on side streets. Much appreciated. Lastly, even if you believe IV therapy is for you, there are much cheaper options in the Twin Cities.

She paid $600 out of pocket to see Doctor Rawson who mentioned her trying ivermectin (quack!) and then he told her he'd do more research and get back to her with his prognosis. It's been 6 weeks and we never heard from him again. This guy pretends he cares and is committed to helping diagnose your chronic condition. Instead he takes the money and runs. Stay far away from this poor excuse for a medical provider.

Dr. Van Dyck was very rushed, giggled maniacally when he shared with me he is an introvert and only drinks his tea at home (I'm thinking to myself: "Good. Because if you had caffeine you would be a complete freak"). Like I should care? WHY are you wasting MY precious 20 minutes of time -- that you keep reminding me we are running out of whenever I ask you for your advice about something -- shooting the breeze with me and sharing all this info about yourself as if I would care? Why are you telling me about your wife? And your kids? You are the caregiver, I am the patient. My precious 20 minutes is about my health, not your personal life. Both he and his assistant Emily snickered any time they mentioned me having a very unpleasant but highly recommended diagnostic exam done -- which I thought was really unprofessional. I finally had to ask "Why are you both snickering when you say this? How is telling me I should have it done funny?" You're supposedly educated health care professionals, not 12-year-olds. It makes me extremely uneasy that the people I am putting in charge of my health care and medical records are snickering about any health-related issues I may have. Unless of course, these are not health care professionals, but health care CLOWNS. What else are they snickering about? Are they snickering about you and your health too? In his anxiety-fueled haste, the Dr. glossed over a pretty serious acute and excruciatingly painful issue I'm having because, as he blamed the insurance, "It was not in line with what is done in a checkup as insurance defines it" -- so I am going to have to end up going to the emergency room, which is then going to cost the insurance company a lot more to cover. He even did "examine" a body part related to what I have going on, but it took a visit to my chiropractor to notice that I had a tremendous amount of inflammation around my ear and lymph nodes. How could this Dr actually have even looked at the area after I told him I was in excruciating pain and not seen anything, when my chiropractor noticed right away? I felt the clinic was overall not good for anything except referrals. They were on time and everything moved along quickly, but it was really sloppy & unprofessional. And I think this Dr. needs to work on his own mindfulness and stress management skills. I've been to plenty of other medical professionals and no, they don't all act like this. If you know you are giving inferior care and you're going to use the excuse that the system won't let you give the quality of care you want to, then put some energy into changing the frickin' system, you fool. Or go into another profession because -- and I don't care what medical school you went to -- you are clearly not good at, nor passionate, about being a physician. The most I will use this doctor for is to get referrals to someone who can actually do something.

Dr. Travis has been my primary chiropractor and he is excellent. I've been to several different chiropractors over the years and Dr. Travis is by far the best I've ever had. He developed a treatment plan for me that has worked wonders. And, he takes a very personal interest in me (as I'm sure he does with all his patients). He makes me feel like I'm his only patient. I've also had Dr. Nathan on a few occasions when my schedule didn't permit me see Dr. Travis. I got the same treatment from him as I did from Dr. Travis. Excellent team coordination. 5 stars for both doctors. The Physical Therapy team at Symmetry is equally outstanding. Dr. Zach is my primary PT and the work he did on my elbow brought almost immediate relief. He then put me on a strengthening program to prevent the elbow from having recurring problems. 5 stars for Dr. Zach for sure. Dr. Cianna and Dr. Melissa also provided elbow treatment as my schedule had me seeing each of them on occasion. They expanded on the work Dr. Zach was doing to further improve my elbow. Again, excellent team coordination. 5 stars for each of them as well. Dr. Ethan is the primary PT for my back. He started me on a program that brought instant relief. More importantly, however, he got me on a core strengthening and stabilizing program designed to prevent me from having future back problems. Dr. Ethan makes you work, but work is necessary to get good results. He's definitely a 5 star member of the Symmetry team. Finally, Emily and Mckenna are the two amazing ladies at the front desk. They are the people who do the scheduling. In my case, my personal schedule is somewhat complicated, but both Emily and Mekenna are somehow able to make it work. They both do a fantastic job, and both absolutely get 5 stars also.

We had had an amazing experience in the past with Complex Care for my youngest child before she…read morepassed. When we went in for my son we tried a new doctor. She told us she could handle my son's conditions even though they were complex. We were also supposed to be part of a pilot program. We were able to get help one time when he was ill, but other than that we were ghosted. When I asked for more support the provider was concerned because he was "complex". She claimed not to understand his conditions. What happened was she was giving incorrect information to his providers and probably confusing him with another patient. I asked to be transferred to another doctor in the department since my son was enjoying working with them. My son was discriminated against and not offered that option. His voice was not heard in his own health care needs. The provider was rude and told us he was "too complex" for complex care. She was quick to push us out of the system into another system against my son's wishes. I once again asked to see another doctor as all my "complex child" needs is a handicapped parking pass, someone for me to troubleshoot with, and to email doctors and a check in every six months. Which at the end of the day isn't asking a lot of this doctors and nurses in complex care. I am concerned we were pushed out due to the fact that we are a neurodiverse family and the provider didn't seem to be able to understand how to relate to us. My son is crushed. He is not really interested in the new provider and his trust in Gillette looking out for him is shattered. I attempted to reach out and explain again for him, but received a certified letter that bordered on being openly hostile to our family and disrespectful to people of diverse disability and ethnic backgrounds. I did not show him the letter. I don't know how to explain to him that he has been abandoned and that the only thing complex care knew how to do was bill our insurance. I wish the provider would have been honest from the beginning about not being able to handle my son's needs. It's OK to say "I don't know". She did attempt to get him palliative care services and we do appreciate that. We also will miss the nurse we had there as well. I do wish that Gillette would be more transparent with what they can do so people like my child don't get burned.
