First time here and I am happy to say that Dr. Dysart is my doctor. He is very professional, funny, caring, friendly, patient, and definitely knows what he is doing by using evidence to support his answers. I decided to choose him as my doctor after reading all the positive reviews from Yelp and from another site called Zoc Doc. I was able to get an appointment with him very quickly. Usually, it will take me a week or two for me to schedule an appointment at other places. When I first arrived, I filled out all my information on an electronic device. It was quite different because I usually get a bunch of papers on a clipboard to fill out. I think this is a lot more convenient and more tech savy. Even Dr. Dysart came in with an Ipad and started typing away when he was questioning me about my medical history and why I came in for a visit. I only had to wait for a little bit (no more than 20 minutes) for Dr. Dysart to come and see me. Thank goodness! I don't like waiting over an hour for doctors to come see me. =/ Dr. Dystart definitely listens to you! I complained to him about my concerns/worries and he listened and listened. He gave me helpful options of what I should or can do. I also got a physical exam and he explained everything, step by step! For some odd reason.... From the inside of the room, it does not really look like a doctor's office. I mean it does and it's legit but I don't know how to describe it.. Maybe it's because the building itself, had deceived me because I usually go to big hospitals for appointments. I had some blood work done today and the nurse who administered it was very friendly, accommodating, and patient with me. I like how I didn't have to go to another building or location for them to draw my blood. It's very convenient to just do it at the time of the visit. I am scared of needles and I nearly fainted the last time I donated blood. She gave me 2 options and made the entire process really easy. She made me forget that I was getting blood work done and the needle went in painlessly! Quickie, in and out! There is a private lot in the back and also street parking (max. 2 hours) on the busy Clairemont Mesa Street. Overall, it's a great experience and I hope I won't be needing to come back anytime soon!

There wasn't much street parking this morning, but you can actually park in the parking garage right before Snooze. The clinic validates parking so it should be free for an hour or so. I met with Dr. Colleen Brown and one of her specialties is skin care. You see, I had a disgusting infection on my new tattoo. She was very professional and direct. Just asked me what's wrong and prescribed me some medication. Easy peasy.

She said they had a backlog of 5,000 uprocessed referrals. I can't even fathom what this would mean my healthcare needs were dire. - My PCP turned off my ability to message her after one message. - Recently I showed up for a dermatology appointment and, after disrobing and waiting, I was told I couldn't be seen that day because I had an endocrinology appointment earlier that day, completely wasting hours of my time. Yet it was someone within Perlman Clinic who had booked both appointments for me. - They have ZERO holistic options. The ONLY PCP I could find with a holistic (ie TRULY "integrative") background was fully booked out with no option for a waitlist. - The first PCP I tried with them, when I asked her "do you trust me to know my own body" looked me straight in the eye and, deadpan, said "No." Then she proceeded to get very agitated. - A recent referral was denied by my insurance and they claimed they had no interest in disputing it. - A doctor I waited a month to get in to see cancelled two hours before with no reason or apology, and bumped me right to the back of the line again, forcing me to wait another month to see her. - The endocrinologist I've been working with clearly has zero real knowledge. My research and conversation with functional doctors has shown me that if I flat out listened to her, it could be dangerous for my health. - My insurance denied thousands upon thousands of dollars worth of claims because they were incorrectly submitted. - The clinics emulate complete lack of health. Everyone who works there looks and feels so unhappy and unhealthy. I have trouble understanding how these are the people we should be counting on for our health? - As if this list weren't long enough, there's so much more beyond this - all WAY too long to list here. Update: After posting this review, I received a phone call from someone who pretended to care. But it was crystal clear in their speech that they cared ZERO. Every time I have expressed concern I've been met with inauthentic, canned speech (poorly) designed to suppress people.

This my review of Dr Liu and his staff. My wife has been a patient here for about a year and I've…read morebeen meaning to write a good review but every time I forget. We've been coming here mainly because my wife speaks mandarin as her primary language and it's difficult to find any Dr's that speak the language. But, the main review on the Dr is his overwhelming "patience" with the patient as most doctors can't wait to get you in and out of the exam room as they have so many patients, Dr Liu takes the time to listen, review, and come up with a plan/recommendation for treatment even when the patient (my wife) keeps on talking and wanting more answers. Dr liu, is conservative as opposed to aggressive in his treatment including prescriptions, always giving possible side effects and reasons for recommending which one and why this is the best approach. I've been to plenty of Dr appts in my life where you're not only feeling rushed to get out of the office, you also are not confident in the treatment. Dr Liu also has a good sense of humor and also has good manor with female clients. Because of this, I'm probably making Dr Liu my primary doctor as well. But don't worry, I'm not as long winded as "some" patients might be

Before, during, and after being seen by the nurse practitioner I tried confirming literally countless times that they knew this visit was preventative, not diagnostic, and that there were specific Z (preventative) codes to use so I wouldn't be incorrectly billed as I have been before. They had literally no idea what I was talking about, but kept trying to dismiss me and talk about how I hadn't met my deductible. I was politely standing my ground against 4 of them to state that what they were telling me was not correct and asked them to please call my insurance on the back of my card to confirm, and they refused for over 30 minutes. Finally, the actual doctor told them there were preventative codes for PreP - exactly as I said. No apology at all and extremely unprofessional. Also, told me they would call me in a couple days when my prescription was ready and they never contacted me. Then, lo and behold, 3 days later I get an EOB saying I owe them for my clinic visit. Totally illegal, and exactly why I bent over backward to make sure they coded everything properly. After my insurance called them to try and inform them what they were doing was incorrect they said they would change it this ONE TIME, but not moving forward. My insurance told them that's literally not how it works, but they didn't care. Diane, the billing buffoon, said she's been doing it for 30 years her way and she knows what she's doing. Clearly not. This place is just a typical ill-informed, old-school style practice that can't get with the times. Who knows how out of date their processes are, they are probably incorrectly billing countless patients. Super, super disappointing and severely out of touch with the medical needs of people today, and they do not advocate for their patients' health and wellbeing. You want your doctor's office to be up to date, educated, and happy to give you care. Please, do not go here.

This doctor's office is the worst. They never honor their appointment times. This isn't the first…read moretime they didn't honor the appointment either. Here is an example...Recently my mother in law had a virtual appointment scheduled at 4 PM. We wait until 5 PM, still no call. I called them to follow up on this appointment and was told by the front desk staff that their doctors are still seeing patients and will call us when they're available. When asked why given us the appointment at 4 PM, when you can't honor it, the staff said their doctors told them to schedule every appointment 10 minutes apart. Then she said if I have a problem with it then I need to take it up with their doctors. I told her that this office has been doing this for years, how can they not notice the problem. But she kept telling me to take it up with their doctors instead. My mother in law is stubborn, as with most of the other elderly asian patients, they just want to stick with 1 doctor who can speak Vietnamese, and this place is it. And she had been here for years since she was still healthy and young back then. So hence she doesn't want to switch primary care doctor. It doesn't matter if you made an appointment in person or virtual, they're always at least 1 hour late. I, personally, used to go here as well, but not anymore after so many delays in treatments/appointments. I want to warn the rest of the new patients that unless you have plenty of time to wait every time you need to see the doctor here, don't go here. They only care about money... more appointments/visits means more money from insurance for them. This goes against the practice of a true doctor. And they have no respect for the patients or the patients' families time.

With all the negative…read moreexperiences I've had here, I honestly don't understand how this place is still operating in the healthcare field. I expect healthcare professionals--whether doctors or staff--to have compassion and care, but instead, all I've encountered is rude, unprofessional behavior. Sometimes I wonder why I'm treated this way--do I really seem that naive or stupid? But after reading other reviews, I realized I'm not alone in feeling this way. Let's talk about appointments. Is it normal for a doctor's office to never answer the phone? Even the designated texting number for appointments doesn't work. I've tried texting, but no one ever responds. So, am I supposed to physically go there just to make an appointment? Imagine living far away and having a busy schedule--how is that even feasible? There was a young girl, who I believe is a newbie MA, and she was trying to draw my blood. She seemed really nervous about it, and honestly, I could tell something wasn't right. As I watched her, she actually yelled at me to look away, saying that if I was looking at her, she couldn't focus. I asked to have someone else do it, of course she gave me a rude attitude and walked away grumpily. It was such an unprofessional and uncomfortable experience. There're a lots problem for me with this office during the time I were patients here but the last visit was the final straw for me. I went in, polite as can be, to ask about my blood results and to request a copy of my chest X-ray. The receptionist barely acknowledged me and acted so condescending. When I asked about the blood results, she just muttered, "Normal," without even looking at me. It was shocking how rude she was. I've since moved myself and my family to another clinic, and I've been telling everyone I know to do the same if they're experiencing the same frustrations. I've even helped some people switch doctors. This place has been the worst experience for me, and I wouldn't wish it on anyone. Please, avoid this office if you can and find a better option! Extremely poor customer service, unprofessional and uneducated medical assistants, and rude behavior from both the doctor and staff. I know the office staff probably never reads feedback, which is why they continue to operate this way after so long. But I hope my review helps others who are looking for a family doctor and steer clear of this place :)
