It's the only vaccine we didn't get and it wasn't necessary. One time I called his office to ask a question. They thought they put me on hold and started making fun of me for asking how much caffeine I can have while nursing. MOST IMPORTANTLY he missed a recommendation to get a specific medical test at 2 months of age from his doctors who delivered him due to an issue he had at birth. He said the recommendation was at one year. I found out he was wrong months later. Lastly his office is sooooo depressing. His ancient metal scales made my baby roll and hit his head. All this doctor did was stress vaccines on us. Otherwise he was useless and SO so rude. I dreaded my baby's appointments because I'd have to see this guy. I'm so happy we left.

He has wonderful bedside manner, came early both days to look at my baby, and answered a lot of my questions. My son is 2 months now and over the last 2 months, I have contacted Dr. Yu with random questions and he would call me or answer my emails within 24 hours. Made me feel at ease with a lot of decision makings. I highly recommend him and his office. Only advice! Please change your door! Lol. His office has a heavy duty door that slams loud every time someone leaves and they aren't holding the door before it shuts. Recently, I experienced a busy office and lack of communication along with little to no follow up. I brought my daughter in for an issue and was asked to leave a urine sample. Not only did the office not follow up to deliver the results, they lost the sample and never called. Getting a return call takes several hours. My observation is that the practice has grown too large and they're too understaffed to properly follow up on your kids health. Standard response is book another appointment.

Really not bad at all considering a once a year cost, as she had all her vaccines when she was 1-2 and won't need more til she's 4. We don't mind the diff doctors as it keeps our schedules flexible since we now drive down from the SFV. Each different Dr we've had has been wonderful and reassuring that my wife and I are raising a healthy child who is hitting her growth milestones The waiting lobby can be a little tight at times, try to leave the stroller behind if you can, don't bring the whole family if you don't need to! Plenty of FREE parking (you appreciate this after living in LA), a very accommodating staff who remembers your child as well. They have a cute little fish tank too incase the current movie doesn't appease your child for you non iPad parents. If you're a patient, you'll likely end up driving to whichever branch happens to have the first available appointment, so I've been to multiple locations and the experience has been consistently disappointing. Since the practice was sold to private equity, the focus seems to have shifted from patient care to maximizing revenue. Getting an appointment is incredibly difficult, even if you can get someone on the phone. The patient portal is another constant source of frustration--expect to spend an hour just trying to regain access if something goes wrong. The office staff across the locations I've visited seem exhausted and jaded, and every interaction feels like there's another fee waiting around the corner. The final straw came when we switched to a new pediatrician. Our new provider tried to retrieve my children's vaccination records through the California Immunization Registry, only to discover Coastal Kids hadn't entered them. Because of that oversight, I had to request the records directly from Coastal Kids--and they charged me $20 per child to send the records to our new doctor's office. It's hard not to feel like families are viewed as a revenue stream rather than patients. We left this practice because the experience had become consistently frustrating, and the way our departure was handled only reinforced that we made the right decision
