This is not just a clean, polish and fill shop, they are very knowledgeable and up to date on the current literature. The dental techs are nice, friendly and very professional. The staff at the front do an excellent job with the paperwork and do not make mistakes with the billing. If I had to say anything negative, it is the wheelchair access for the building could be a bit better, having to go around to the back door to get in made my wife feel like she was second class. (It is the building owner, not the dental office, that is responsible for this.)

When I was looking for a different dentist in town, I chose to come to Dr. Swanson. He has always been up front and honest, and he listens to me about what I am willing and not willing to do. Before seeing Dr Jensen I was taken to do an xray. I now understand it is an intraoral xray! Asked if it was covered the technician said yes. Finally see Dr Jensen , he states he can't put the crown on and wants me to see another dentist for imaging who is not on my insurance ! Left disappointed and confused because not my first crown for an implant! Go to another Dentist Dr Rice and he can put crown on with no problem. They sent a bill for over $350 for an xray not covered. They could not put crown on and wanted me to go to another dentist before they could do anything! This is just to warn anyone thinking of going to them.

However, his accounting has issues when 5 months after my bill ($1300 +) was paid in full per the signed "estimate" as it is now referred, I received a bill with no explanation other than $39 over 60 days and $32 over 90 days. It was the first I had ever heard of these charges. A call to the office revealed they were charges for 2 X-rays. What dentist does not realize that X-rays are a part of a procedure and should have been included in the "estimate." My experience with delayed billings like this is that the business is having financial problems.

The gal who called me told me they received my referral to pull out tooth #. In order to set up an appointment to be seen and the tooth removed, I would need to put down $500 today. Um, excuse me, you need $500 to pull a tooth that is already falling out of my head. The gal told me it was their standard policy, and they needed a deposit incase I needed to be sedated. I told her that wasn't necessary as I only needed to have tooth pulled, that I could literally pull out with my own fingers. I didn't need to be put to sleep, I more than likely didn't need to even get a numbing shot. Called my regular dentist to get in to have the tooth pulled. When it is time to do my implant I will NOT EVER go through BHOS. They tend to scam people out of their money. If YELP set negative stars, they would get -5 stars based on their lack of empathy and their greed.

I told admitting staff at radiology that I had surgical wire in my right orbit. Some how the staff…read moreat the imaging center conflated that with having wire in my right eyeball. That is an entirely different thing as the orbit is the actual eye SOCKET. Then they put someone from radiology on who tried to tell me that I was the one that made the mistake and that the orbit is actually the eye ball (globe), which it IS NOT. The orbit is the socket. I don't like mistakes being made and then being lied to about it to make me look stupid when I was the one who used the terminology correctly. In the future, I would explore other options for imaging. Medical professionals who are unsure of terminology should at the very least look up the terms and know what it is that they are talking about. Good medical professionals would already know what the terminology means.

Erica, I know you can't even get a line of credit for 20 dollars so you need to start acting right and have a seat. Being no stranger to dentists with several crowns/fillings, I really need a Dentist that is gentle, effective, and treatment effective. I've had too many dentists that wanted to maximize procedures to maximize profit and it's nice to find docs who are there to treat you, not be treatment aggressive, and are gentle.
