Since I needed a last second haircut, I did a quick Yelp and decided to give his shop a shot. [Parking]: There's a small & free private parking lot right in front of the salon and I had no issue finding an available spot. [Appointment & atmosphere]: Walk-in welcome. In fact, I called and Jeff said I could just come in like ... now. I ultimately set an appointment and said will arrive within the next hour. I arrived on-time and only waited less than 5 minutes. Two chairs near the entrance for waiting customers. No TVs here and this will not be the biggest and brightest salon you'll find in town. [Price]: $30 for scissor cut or flat-top. $25 for fades / taper / pompadour / kids. $20 for regular cut or senior buzz cut. $10 beard trim. $16 for shampoo. [Service]: I showed a picture of brushed forward short hair with drop fade and Jeff said no problem. It was my very first time having two barbers (husband and wife) rotating and cutting my hair - wife was responsible for trimming and Jeff focused on the styling. Both took their time and paid extra attention to details. At the end, Jeff even asked whether I would like to gel my hair. They use compressed air to remove hair. [Conclusion]: 5-star haircut and service and this is probably my new favorite haircut spot in Orange County now. read more

Beware of the lady with the short hair working there! I'm not sure if that's his wife or employee. She will try to steal your chain. She was fidgeting with my gold chain trying to unhook it. I was holding onto my chain underneath the cloth. Until she felt resistant from me holding onto my chain, that's when she stopped and try to play it off and offered me more coffee..... The day before the 1st day of school. They were able to squeeze us in right before they closed. They welcomed us, didn't feel like an inconvenience. I informed them my son has 2 cowlicks, which caused his hair to stand up. Jeff let me know he'll take care of it and sure enough he did! Look what an awesome job he did. I called this place based on rave reviews on Yelp and received the weirdest dialogue I've ever dealt with. Not what I was expecting when I was looking for a business. First off, no answer with business name but simply a hello. It's Saturday and I asked for availability for next Saturday at 1pm or after. He couldn't give me a time but simply asked me to remind him Friday. I've never dealt with a place where the customer calls to remind. Secondly, I had to ask several times because he said "1, 1:30 it doesn't matter". Say what? It does matter. That's why I'm bloody calling to make an appointment. If I didn't give a crap about time I'd just roll up in there whenever I please, expecting little more. I can't take my son here. It's already hard enough getting him to get a haircut in the first place, I'd never hear the end of it judging by how haphazard it sounds. read more

Both him and his partner are so accommodating every visit and they even give tons of recommendations on things I should try with my hair. My boyfriend went back for another haircut and unfortunately was disappointed. We won't be back again. They haven't mastered the concept of a medium fade, they do shorter on the sides and longer on the top with it really long on the front. No "fade" element, just 2 lengths. He even showed a photo this time, and it turned out to be nothing like a fade. He again requested no product, but product was yet again put in his hair. His haircut was around $25. When handing over $30 to include tip, they gave him an attitude like that wasn't a sufficient tip, which is unprofessional and unethical given the fact that he wasn't happy with his cut and they didn't fulfill his requests. read more

My son is special needs and Jeff made him feel safe and was calm through the overall experience. He was kind and took his time for my son's level for comfortability with the clippers and also paid attention to detail. Jeff is my dude!! I've been going here for a couple of years now ever since Jeff opened up his own barbershop. I remember seeing Jeff and getting my haircuts from him when he use to work at Fade It. So when I found out that he opened up his own place, I had to come check it out and I haven't gone to another place since. Every time I need a cut and fade, Jeff is my guy. He even remembered me from his days at Fade It. Him and his wife who also works with him are very nice, kind and helpful people! Jeff really understand his haircuts and how to give a sharp fade and line up. He'll understand what you want and make sure you look good. I haven't been disappointed with a haircut yet from Jeff. If you have any questions, he'll do his best to help you out and answer them. He takes walk ins but also does appointments. Jeff and Vanessa are masters of hair and also the most compassionate people I've ever met. A husband and wife duo leading a small but integral operation for the community. As soon as I walked in I was completely greeted with kindness and hospitality. Vanessa made me a cà phê sữa đá that she told me Jeff brews for their church. Loved that. Sitting in the chair I was telling them my default haircut which is always going to be a high fade and then some blending at the top, and that usually I just comb it to the left side. But Jeff analyzed my hair and told me that I would look so much better in a taper fade cut. I told them that they were the professionals, and that I was open to a new style. I wasn't completely familiar with what a taper was. But needless to say, I was completely blown away by what they did to my hair. It was the perfect proportion for me, nice and squared, ultimately framing my face perfectly. Vanessa, while working on my head, told me that their modus operandi was to always listen to the client, but also offer expert suggestions as to how one can look good in different situations such as job interviews, and different seasons. Whatever you request they will do for you with a professional touch. They took care of my hair and mustache plus a massaging shampoo ( upon request). Jeff and Vannesa have the experience and expertise to make you look good with your hair! Some barbers after an appointment they cut your hair and just let it go and when you go home you find some mistakes on your cut. This is my 2nd time going to Jeff. He's very attentive and friendly. He even offered me water. He recommended what he thinks would look good for you. But you should always go to a barber shop with the details of exactly how you want your cut. I've had my haircut by over 20 barbers in last 10 years. He definitely ranks in the top 3. Every barber has their style of scissor work, fading, and blending. I'm very picky when it comes to my hair and his style works for me. He takes him time and pays attention to not only your hair, but also the shape of your head and face. I would definitely recommend Jeff 100%. I've gotten my hair cut by him twice this month. Don't come here just don't . First he messed up my sons haircut totally & my husband brought him back to get it fixed . The guy had a whole attitude like common it's your mess so fix that sh** !! Mr. Jeff was friendly. I had my cut in doors. I had hair down pass my ears. I came in with a picture of what I was wanting. (picture below) but w/ a low fade on the sides. The process of getting my hair cut was less than optimal and not even close to what was asked. The clippers used felt sticky and when trimming, they wouldn't snip in one motion. This left split ends and hair length uneven when trimming. The use of the razor was not very smooth, felt rough and rushed. The lack of finesse did cause bleeding on my upper lip when trimming my facial hair. The attention to detail was not there and concentration was not there. My hair was tapered on the sides, The back of my hair was cut unevenly with a small strand of a rat tail left over. The top of my head was not cut like how a crew cut should be. The back end of my crown was left longer than the front (standing up, it is 4 inches). My left side hair is much loner than my right. A crew cut is cut relatively short, and graduated in length with the longest at front hair forming a short pomp to the shortest at back, so that in a side profile, the outline of the top hair approaches the horizontal. I will say, Jeff did mention he was willing to keep touching it up based on what the customer would like etc, but I was unsure on how to go about cleaning up my hair and how to direct a 12 year professional barber. Rating Scale: 5: gone above and beyond in all areas 4: overall you did better than expected but one area was still standard 3: you provided the services needed 2: services provided was less than optimal 1: customer service was provided I am rating this a 1. This is because customer service was provided but the lack of detail, rough use of a razor and not coming close to what was asked is what is bringing this rating down. First time here. This is a one man shop. The shop is very small. His wife doesnt know how to cut. He runs back and forth between two heads. If there is 2-3 people in front of you, expect to wait over an hour long because he is the only barber working. I waited over 1.5 hour. I paid $15 plus $5 for tip. The wait is too long. read more

My son has super thick wavy hair and it seemed impossible to find a barber to cut it right so he used to dislike getting a haircut. I love Jeff's skill at cutting hair . I've been going to him for 3-4 years already and every single time I come out smiling. It's always 100% the way I want it. He knows each set of head and the best way to cut it, with very little directions from me. He would also give his opinion on the best way he thinks the haircut should be and it always comes out really nice. Would definitely recommend it to everyone! My friends and I decided to get me a new haircut (new year new hair right?), and we found this place through yelp. The place is small but clean and well-ventilated. As for the barber, he can speak both English and Viet! He seems to enjoy his job and was careful in everything he did. I asked for a fade, but he gave advice and recommended a taper instead according to my head shape, which I now think is the better choice. Out of all barbers that have cut my hair, he has the most gentle hands; I never winced in pain at all.
