[Pros] * Friendly barber. * The barber uses compressed air to remove hair. * Same-day appointment only, but I was able to schedule a time slot pretty quickly and one time he said "can you come in the next 30 minutes?" and I said no problem. * One of the more affordable haircut in the neighborhood - $18 for men's haircut and $23 for haircut with shampoo. * The barber is very efficient and good at what he is doing. I showed him a picture of taper cut and he was able to execute it pretty well without too many questions. [Cons] * The shop is operated by the sole barber/owner so he will pause in the middle of haircut to pick up ringing phone calls. * The barber can be slightly rough as he has a tenancy to keep pushing customer's head while cutting and each customer will need to feel and adjust the position of your head for his convenience. I had one of the most head and neck movements for men's haircut. * There's always a slight wait even if you already have an appointment - I arrived on time for my last appointment and I did wait an extra 15 - 20 minutes. * Customers must call to set up an appointment and all appointments must be the same-day appointment. * There's a sign stating 'no restroom for customers'. * No TV here. * I will not recommend paying extra $5 for shampoo - water was cold initially and shampoo was only done once (some places do shampoo before haircut and shampoo again in the middle of haircut). I gave this barbershop a shot based on positive Yelp reviews... big mistake. Parking is limited, so plan to park in the neighborhood. Bring cash. The shop looks professional with high-end equipment, but that only gets you so far. The barber had tattoos on both arms and was in the second chair to the right. Seemed nice, but the haircut experience was rough. I asked for a 2 on the sides, faded to 0.5, and a trim on top for a clean side part. He sprayed water everywhere, moved my head roughly, and then declared me "done" without showing a mirror. When I asked about the fade, he said he "blended it." He used a single guard on the sides and then switched clippers to "clean" the edges and neckline. It was nothing like the fade I requested. I was pissed because he said I looked good... but he didn't listen to what I said. Paid and left. Honestly, the negative reviews (1-3 stars) are accurate. If you just want a basic guard cut, maybe he's fine. Anything detailed is a gamble. read more

I came to this barber shop with the hope of it being my go-to barber. The positive reviews really got me interested to try this place, but boy, was it a huge disappointment. How did this barber shop get such great reviews? I'm a bit confused as the barber, Rum, did not know what he was doing or maybe, he didn't understand what I asked for. Maybe the lighting was off, hence the uneven crooked cut. Or, maybe, he was having an off day and needs to take it out on someone and I just happened to be that unlucky person. Maybe, he wasn't wearing his glasses. I don't know but he really did a terrible job on my cut. I actually had to go to another place to fix his less than subpar hair cut job cuz he didn't seem to understand any of my instructions and I wasn't about to give him another one so that he can mess up my hair even more. Rum is the best!! My fiancé has experienced several barbers, but Rum was just exceptional. His technique is above and beyond many. He showed him his haircut from Prague and Rum knew exactly what he wanted and verbalized what he was going to do. Besides his technique, Rum is such a wonderful person with such character. He is happy and so funny. Even though I was sitting on the side waiting, he didn't ignore me and still conversed with me as well. He does work by himself, so he gets so busy. You can't make an appointment with him, but he does give our tickets so you can hold your spot. We went by around 1pm and there were at least 5 guys sitting waiting for their haircut. He told us the next availability was at 4:30pm. We came back around 4:40 pm and only waited maybe 5 minutes as he finished up his clients haircut. So his timing is pretty precise. The pros: very nice staff, did feel forced to talk, nice interior, enough seats while waiting, pretty gentle, low price($13), worked on my beard a little when I didn't ask The cons: didn't get what I asked for, felt kinda rushed, very little parking in the lot, the hair on the top doesn't blend well with the sides I asked for a mid taper that goes from 2 to skin fade and a little off the top so I can slick it back. Unfortunately I didn't have enough time to try to let the barber fix it. Despite there being more pros than cons, the cons where really bad in my opinion.
