​​I have avoided writing this review, as it is extremely upsetting to revisit the pain and heartache that Jekalo Photography caused my husband and me during our wedding, during the hardest time in our lives, two months ago. Now that the hard times are behind us, I am writing an honest, long review about my experience with Jekalo. The review is long, but in an effort to fully warn those about this business, I feel that a detailed post is the most beneficial way to help a vulnerable person avoid being jerked around by Jekalo. The pain that Jekalo caused me is indescribable-- pressuring my husband and I with a fake sale, tricking me with false photos, lying about having to bury her grandfather and taking a trip to Hawaii, trivializing my trauma and making herself the victim, ghosting me and my wedding coordinator, not equipping their business properly with an LLC--and most importantly, running away with my money and not showing up to shoot my wedding. Tiffany and Allan were supposed to photograph and video our wedding themselves, and at the last minute sent some other people to do our wedding so that they could take care of another bride. I had this day reserved 9 months ahead and paid in full and they just tossed us to their associates. Not only did they show up almost 45 minutes late, but then when they had to stay over there contracted time (because they were late to begin with) they held our photos and video hostage until we paid them more money. If they weren't late, they would have been out on time. So now I left on my honeymoon worried that I wouldn't get my pictures or video. Basically a total disaster. read more

Tiffany and Alan did a fantastic job with photo/video for my wedding. They fit right in with all of us and tolerated my family's shenanigans while still keeping everything professional. She was upfront about there being a delay in the timeline I would actually receive my photos and videos which took longer than what was written in my contract. However, she kept me updated and ensured there wasn't a rush to de-value the quality of the end result. My husband's feedback was still just as positive, but did wish there were options for the song choices in the video itself. But otherwise, the tears came right back to us as if we were reliving the day all over again. So so so grateful for the Jekalo team! Thank you guys for being a part of our special day. read more

We couldn't have picked a more professional, fun, and talented team to capture our wedding! The Jekalo Collective team are our venue's (Miller's Landing) preferred photo + video team and I wouldn't dare have picked anyone else. Tiffany, Alan, and Azzie were so kind, punctual, helpful, cool as hell, responsive, hilarious, and oh yeah - incredibly talented. Their vision and art is unlike any other we've seen... Moody, crisp, artistic, creative, and captivating. The Jekalo Collective doesn't take boring ol' photo and videos of your wedding, they create art. They were all over the place making sure they captured all of our special moments. And then less than 24 hours after our wedding, we were blessed with the most stunning sneak peek photos and video reel I have ever seen in my life. My husband and I spent like 45 minutes just watching and looking at our footage over, and over, and over again... We may have to dedicate a full day to looking at the complete catalogue! We couldn't have imagined any other photo + video team to capture one of the most special days of our lives. We were so excited to have jekalo for our wedding in California after lots of research and looking at reviews they sounded perfect. Unfortunately 6 months before our wedding my sister had been diagnosed with small cell carcinoma cancer in her cervix and her life expectancy was measured in months and her mobility was restricted. We had to make the hard decision to relocate the wedding to Sydney so my sister and my family could attend. After we told the venue, and catering they were so understanding and gave partial refunds but sadly with another 6 months to fill the date Jekalo photography kept the entire $1500 and there response was "Paying your balance early was a decision made by you or Laura, not me and therefore irrelevant to the matter". We paid in full because we were making international payments and it wasn't economical to pay monthly. This was a mistake because even though we paid ahead of schedule, we cancelled 4 months before the due date, Jekalo Photography was not willing to give any reimbursement. In addition we suggested a reimbursement if she was able to rebook the date which was also non-negotiable. The contract doesn't have a specific cancellation policy but states that any money paid in full is not refundable. So beware of paying in full. We certainly will be in the future. read more

We booked her for a short couples photo session while my boyfriend and I were up in Lake Arrowhead, and it went amazing! She chose the most beautiful locations and made us feel super comfortable. We'll be looking back at these pictures forever, I love them so much. read more

The moment my husband and I met Tiffany and Alan, we sensed their down-to-earth personality. These are the kind of people that you can feel comfortable with right away that make the whole experience that much better. Especially for someone like me. I tend to get really camera shy. I found Jekalo Photography on instagram while searching for an engagement and wedding photographer. I ended up saving her work among other photographers as well. As I was comparing the details among them, we decided to eliminate each account one by one and it came down to Jekalo Photography. I didn't even need to inquire first for prices because we knew that her photos were the type of photos we wanted at any cost. It was also a HUGE plus to learn that she and her husband are a duo photography/videography team. It made it so much easier to book them both at once. They are also great at communicating with each other during the actual shoots, so it makes the sessions go much smoother! We are over the moon with how our pictures turned out. She did such an incredible job editing and has great perspective. It was difficult to choose which photos to post because we love them all. Can't wait to get these pictures printed. Her portfolio on social media is absolutely stunning, and I was sold from that point on. Aside from her stunning talent, her personality is so sweet and her response time is quick. We booked our wedding through Millers Landing Venue in lake arrowhead and Jekalo photography and alan Marshall video came with the package they were offering. We didn't know anything about their work or them but we wanted our wedding planning to be easy and fun, so we decided to go with the venue recommendations. We are so glad we did. They did not disappoint. The work of Tiffany is amazing. Perfect for a fall forest wedding. She made the day so fun and not staged. While taking photos we were just enjoying the moment and she made it so easy to do so. Our wedding pictures turned out incredible and she really did a great job of capturing every single moment. We booked a mini maternity shoot and could not be more happy with our photos! Most of the photos came out looking like works of art, I'm honestly having a hard time deciding which ones to print.
