The service was not good. Grace our server was rude, We ordered drinks and I asked for water when she repeated the drink order I said and a water. She rudely says I heard you. Then she's chasing the manager across the restaurant and out the side door. The food was crab dip and a dozen charbroiled oysters which took 25 minutes or more. There was one more table of 2 who were just having drinks and a couple at the bar. Funny when it was time to pay she was all sweet and friendly. TIP TIME. read more

Food is pretty bad and not tasteful. The service is slow as well. I got their toad for brunch and the "toast" is always soggy and they cut a hole in the toast and fry the egg in the middle. I asked them to not do that and to just have everything on the side as I wanted my toast to be crispy, they brought back my plate and didn't follow instructions so I sent it back, then i got it back and they had literally removed the egg from the toast and put it in separate plates... so I sent it back AGAIN (after my party was already half way done with their meals) and had to be very specific and explain I wanted a simple toast that was crispy AND my egg on the side... they finally made it right. The rest of the food was okay but just seems bland. The place looks pretty cool and chill but I really wish the food was better. 2/10 in my experience. read more

Awesome! As a vegetarian I was thrilled with so many options I have never seen anywhere else. I got the fresh squeezed juice flights and the black bean quinoa falafel entree. SOOOO good! My partner got the burger and a beer he loved as well. Definitely coming back! And the excellent service was icing on the cake (we didn't get dessert today - but they look great!). read more

I've been waiting for months for this place to open! Jekyll makes my all time favorite seltzers and you can pick from so many flavors! The atmosphere was really nice and had total coastal vibes! A few too many TVs for my liking, but hey some people may prefer all that stimulation overload. The space was huge and open, but there was hardly anyone there - so the service was quick! Drinks were great, but costed slightly more than what I have paid previously at the Alpharetta and Woodstock locations. Great open space, can't wait to go back and maybe try some food next time. read more

My wife and I were in the area and had this on our list of places to try, it did not disappoint. Great beer variety, and they nailed the flavors. I highly recommend the sourdough fried chicken sandwich, it was amazing. The fried pickle app was perfect as well. They've only been open for a little while, so I hope they get better - I'll give them another try in a month or so. We tried this place twice in one week. The first time, my men's group visited for lunch. The service was friendly and orders were accurate, but service was slow. Little things were missed, like no tartar sauce with the fish and chips order. I had the fish and chips and the fish was flavorful but the crust was really greasy. Their fries are hand cut but limp and covered in too much salt and paprika - not my favorite kind of fries. Went back later that week for dinner (a pre-schedule dinner with friends). We had crab dip - not impressed - no real crab flavor. We had crawfish hush puppies, good flavor but over cooked, they were almost black outside. I had Shrimp and Grits - it was excellent. Great shrimp, good Roux and very good cheese grits. Wife had a chicken sandwich she said was flavorless and she didn't like the fries either. Or server was very friendly, attentive and accurate. The location is cool and they plan games and outdoor activities when it's warmer. I'm not into beer (I know, I'm weird), perhaps this place is worth it for the beer but it's not yet worth it for the food. read more

The ambiance was good. Several of the ladies got the Karen a vodka drink. The way the drink came out from what it's described on menu was totally different and 14.00. The lite draft beer was flat with no taste. There was 7 of us and the food came out at different times. Crab cakes not done and in a pool of sauce not even described. The worst chicken tenders from a teenager that eats them all the time. Manager did comp half food off. No wine Wait staff needs training and understand the menu. read more

Awful service, super expensive, sub par food, ok beer... They add 3% transaction fee to all orders. I don't recall seeing that mentioned on the menu. Why not itemize me for your power bill too!? Wait staff has no training or knowledge of the menu, beer, food, etc. Obviously another poorly managed business riding the heels of the great other Jekyl locations. Ambiance is the only redeeming quality, parking sucks. Gainesville is very competitive... I give them 6 more months, maybe... We won't return. Hopefully another well managed business will swoop in and get a good deal on the location when they are gone and learn from their mistakes... When we came into town we noticed this new spot in the industrial/rail part of town and having had Jekyll beers before I wanted to see what this spot was like. Finally made it on a Saturday and it seems to have only been open for a little bit. The space is huge with multiple bars and seating areas with TVs everywhere. Plenty of beers available so I got the double IPA which I had never had before and it was smooth and amazing. One downside is they have cocktails but all of them are 14 dollars which is a bit high for something like a margarita and Moscow Mule. I had the southern oysters that the manager said are his favorite menu item and they were amazing but one the shells wasn't shucked properly and some shards of the shell was in the bake. My wife got the Bavarian pretzel and it was bland with very little salt on it and a beer cheese that was also pretty flavorless. The mustard that came with it packed a punch but the dish overall was pretty disappointing. We will be back next time we're in town we may just try a few different food options next time. read more

They have done a great job with the space. This is my hometown so, I'm always happy to see these old factories and businesses repurposed instead of tear downs. We had high hopes that it would be similar to the Alpharetta location. We were seated and greeted promptly by a server. This is where it goes downhill. Beer was good. Food came out with cold fries and lukewarm sandwiches. No one came back to check on anything for the rest of the night. My husband finally walked to the bar to get our check. The server came with the check and asked if we were cashing out? Obviously since no one cared if we got anything else. Not sure if ignoring customers is part of the process here or what. Won't necessarily write it off but if I go back, it will be sitting front and center of a bartender in order to not be ignored! read more
