The most frustrating part was not my credit score itself, but the lack of proactive guidance. Before my mortgage application, I believed my credit score was much higher than it actually was. Once my credit was pulled, it became clear that there was a significant gap between my expectations and reality. However, I was never proactively informed about the situation, its impact on my mortgage options, or potential remedies that might have been available. I later learned about rapid rescore through my own research rather than from my lender. Given my credit profile, this was something I believe should at least have been discussed. Instead, I remained unaware of important information that could have affected my decisions during a very time-sensitive period. When I later reached out with questions, I did not feel supported or educated as a first-time borrower. Conversations often felt rushed and dismissive, and I was repeatedly told that I could simply refinance later. While refinancing may be an option in the future, it is not free, effortless, or a substitute for helping borrowers understand all available options before closing. As a first-time homebuyer, I expected more proactive communication, guidance, and attention to detail. Unfortunately, that was not my experience.

She went above and beyond in a very short time frame…read more I was having a home built working with a previous lender for months, and oh my gosh I was jumping through hoops, and kept being told ok we have everything we need and everything is all here, then another email, this happened every week for months, and every time I called went to voicemail with an email the following day, not a phone call. - well less than 3 weeks to close and another email, I was so stressed, as I had bought a previous home and said I am normally given a list I submit and all is good, that was 18 years ago and this time I was completely stressed out. This other lender was unorganized; always asking for this form or that form, which in the end none of the extra forms were ever needed. I sadly called the builder to cancel, said I could not do this anymore, it seems to always be something, I have no trust in this guy as he keeps saying he has everything and then another email. The builder provided me Nicoleta's name and number. I was very hesitant, but I made the call and am so glad I did. Everything was how I remembered it, Nicoleta was very structured, provided a list of items, which I had everything and sent that right over, then she let me know after looking at everything that everything looks great, she sees no problem and sending it to underwriting. When I look back, Nicoleta Tripon went above and beyond, In less than 3 weeks, it was amazing, she answered every question of mine, the best part was her communication was completely honest which I was very skeptical when she would say everything looks great, as she would email or call me to let me know she has not heard back but that nothing more is requested and she will keep me informed, and then she called to Congratulate me and let me know everything is a go. I honestly did not believe her on that phone call, and the close date was set, and then it hit me, no emails asking for anything, everything was a go. I closed on my new home! I highly recommend Nicoleta Tripon; she is honest with great communication skills.
