Not including the wait, the service itself took 1:45 minutes. (Twice what it should have taken)Two days later three nails chipped at the tips. I called on Monday of this week and set an appt for today....Friday. They called me last minute and told me Holly has a bad back and cannot work. And the only person is a guy, its the same guy that did a crappy set for me before. Every time I go in here the place is empty. What gives? I wait a week for an appt and it gets cancelled? Weak. I had an amazing first time here, I was a walk in for pedicure and was sat right away, Van and another young girl were very helpful. I had gotten my nails done at another place but wasn't able to drive all the way back for a pedicure, I had asked van to get me a color as close to my nail color, and she tried very hard to find a good match, I understood they might not have the exact same color since it was at a different salon and I told her it was ok if it was slightly darker or lighter. She was amazing, she didn't get upset that I had very ticklish feet, she assured me it was ok, I know some technicians get annoy about that but she kept telling me it was ok. Amazing service. I went to Jeniza just because they were close but it was a great choice. My tech, Le, did an awesome job on my mani and pedi. I haven't gotten my nails professionally done in six plus months and it was obvious that I needed help. Le did not hesitate to jump in and get me fixed up. In addition to everything else, she gave me the best hand and foot massages I have ever gotten. I will be coming back again and hopefully to see Le so she can work her magic once more. read more

Hanna did a great job on my regular pedicure and gel manicure! She was very friendly. The place was very clean and well lit and they have TONS of nail polish colors to pick from. Best part is that I was in and out in a hour, given complimentary water, and if you pay in cash, you get a 5% discount. YAY! For my regular pedi and gel manicure was like $52 + tip. I think my nail tech was Fong and she was super. I told her what I wanted and she made my short little nubby sad nails look beautiful. I appreciate her attention to detail and she was gentle and did a fantastic job the end result make me smile. I have never been to this salon before and I am sorry. I watch them get all the instruments out of new peel packs from sterilizer units. That is the best practice I have ever seen. The floor was a little dirty so for overall appearance I think they could be a bit better but it was also closing time so possibly a full day of customers leaves things a little messy. Went in for a dip manicure--Took an hour and a half and after 1 day TWO nails chipped. Went in the next day to get them fixed and Jerrie was very condescending. The lady at the front desk just yelled out to see who could do a mani, no body could so I just left. My most recent visit was a little better, but why does their customer service have to suck so bad. I would have given this place a two, but the gal who did my nails (basic mani) did a good job and my color is still on and it's almost a week later! I have never been more impressed with a nail salon in my life. I went in with my sister and my cousin today and I immediately felt at home, I felt accepted and cared for the whole time. There was no pressure for anything (I have experienced this from other nail salons my whole life) and I was treated with kindness and my nails have literally never looked better (gel manicure). Customer service is not their strength, the lady doing my nails seemed annoyed to be doing it and half the time wasn't paying attention. The water was really cold then way too hot. I upgraded to the Coconut Milk Foot Bath with an extra 10 minute massage, she just mindlessly ran her hands over the top of my foot the entire time just chatting with the other ladies or staring off into space. The nail job was sub par, she didn't clean up around my nails too well and the top tip of the nail is not painted, lack of attention to detail drives me crazy... The chair was way too close to the front so my feet were all bunched up on top of each other when they were in the water. A customer walked in and they all started talking to each other and staring at her, made me feel uncomfortable, I just wanted to get out of there! read more

Highly recommend not coming here....I've NEVER EVER gotten such a bad paint job in the 18827474 times I've got my nails done. I couldn't even believe how horrible it is. Not even 24 hours EVERY SINGLE ONE is chipped. Let's just day that's ALL my fault (ya right, it was ruined within hours, I'm not a lumberjack, I was at a Valentine's Day dinner, there's no way they should be chipped that soon) even if that's not the case, you can see the uneven layered paint! I have gone here for years as my primary nail shop and as my fall back. I've seen Rose she is the best. She is meticulous and takes her time. She is amazing at polishing and anytime I go somewhere else I compare the polish job to hers. She does great regular and gel manicures. She's also good at pedis but not as good as she is at manicures probably because the massage could be stronger. There are a few other ladies in here I have tried that are good as well but there are a few that are not. I will always go here when I can get Rose. She's off Wednesday and Sunday. read more

I come here for gel nails. I don't know how, but the gel nails I get here look the best, last the longest, and destroy my nails the least out of the 10+ places I've had gels done in Phoenix. The waiting area is a little cramped and I wish all nail salons would present gel colors in a better way than that weird plastic rolodex of fake nails, but I will keep coming back to this place because I'm lazy and clumsy and bright nails make me happy. I've had a few mediocre experiences here before. But this last experience really put the nail in the coffin for me. My friend scheduled an appointment for us to get gel manicures together. They sat us on opposite sides of the business so we couldn't even have a conversation. My technician was not friendly or conversational and didn't even listen or try to understand what I was saying about how I wanted my nails to be shaped. They just did their own thing. The worst part was I was finished before my friend even finished getting her nails shaped. So it was either meet her later or sit and wait for her to be finished and the waiting area is kind of too small for anyone to be sitting and waiting. Overall just a bad experience, one so off-putting that I will not only not recommend people to, but try my best to steer people away from now on. Overall, very disappointing. read more

Hands down the worst service I have ever had at a nail salon. The staff were yelling at one another the entire time I was there. I asked for a color change, was given French tips, and when I reiterated that I came in for a color change, the tech became upset. When I walked up to pay, the tech who painted my nails took my card and said "How much you tip me?". I was going to tip but the rude questioning paired the the awful atmosphere of the salon and the inability to compete a color change was beyond off putting. I love this place that is unless I show up and the owner is there. I've used the same nail tech from day one (3+ years client) and love her work. I always receive compliments on my gel manicures. The place is cute with a lot of nail color options. I like that the feet tubs are lined and everything is sterilized. The workers are always nice and can work and have fun all at the same time while including you in on the conversation but lately it's changed. When the owner is around she is constantly yelling out the girls names and asking if they are almost done because she needs them for the next client. I pay money to have my gel manicure and pedicure done right and not feel like these poor girls are rushing through my appointment. Today was my 2nd time at Jeniza Nails. I've typically gone on days/times where it's not super busy, so I'm able to walk in, and am quickly accommodated within 5-10 minutes! They are extremely clean, taking precautions that I haven't seen at other nail salons yet. My technician today was Le, who was gentle but thorough. I have a tricky left great toe (due to surgery years ago), and she's probably the first person to ever fix up the nail flawlessly. It's been months since my feet felt this soft; and she was extremely gentle (but thorough) with my cuticles. I got my nails done here. First of the guy that did my nails asked me to pay before o got them done which is fine. The lady at the desk told me it was $25 for a full set and somehow it ended up being $40??! No I did not get gel either which the guy tech kept pushing when I said I didn't want gel over 5 times. They charged me $10 extra for coffin shape! The guy tech had me pay before he put color on and he said "how much you tip me?" Like what? You don't ask someone that! I have lived in this neighborhood my entire life, and I have bounced around from most of the salons in the area. I keep coming back to Jeniza because every time, no matter what technician does my nails, they always do a great job. Everyone that works here is friendly, the environment is always clean, and their prices are extremely affordable. I am terrible at small talk so I have the tendency to read, or close my eyes when I get pedicures, and the technicians are very respectful of that and not once have I felt they were talking about me to one another. They do take walk-ins, but they stay fairly busy so I try to set appointments when I can! Also, their massage chairs are worth going back for alone. read more

I've been a loyal customer to Jeniza for years. I've had my complaints about them regarding mistreatment by their nail techs or poorly polished nails... the managers were usually kind enough to address those issues for me. This was a consistent problem but I still went to them anyway out of loyalty to Jeniza. But today was different, today I decided that I would just stop being loyal to Jeniza. They advertise walk-in appointments but I was turned away by the owner who told me they were booked up. She knows I am a consistent customer yet she had no kind response but to tell me she was booked. She didn't even offer to take my number down in case somebody canceled or even asked me if I wanted to make an appointment for another day. If they are not loyal to consistent customers, then there's no reason for me to be loyal in return. I shall take my business elsewhere. read more
