We already own the plot and the headstone plaque. They are paid for. Sunset Memorial started at a quote of $3400, then raised the cost by $1000 in the same email. Since then they have increased the cost to almost double at $6,600. They are digging a small hole to place his cremains. Probably 30 minutes work at best. What has changed to dig a small hole and fill it back in? They are gouging and taking advantage of this family's end of life experience to bury my Brother -in -Law. I am filing a complaint with the State of Ohio Department of Commerce, Cemetery Dispute Resolution Commission. These people should not be in the funeral business if they feel the need to gouge families at their most vulnerable time in their lives. Avoid this cemetery if possible!!!! - James Schiely

Don't parade us around the grounds showing us plots, extolling their virtues and avoiding our questions about cost when you know full well it's 4x our previously stated budget. And quit using the line "this is forever" when people take their time to consider the costs. It's demeaning and manipulative. I wouldn't want my family to sacrifice their quality of life for my quality of death. I have never felt so ignored and taken advantage of.

Despite this mix, Busch was lovely to deal with and quite compassionate and understanding and handled my mom as well as possible. My dad passed 2 days before Christmas and Busch helped us through all the "things" that need to be done and held our hands every step of the way. The memorial service was just perfect and the Busch people were there to make sure every need was met and the service processed seamlessly. My dad was cremated and they were able to offer us an eco-friendly urn that we will use to release Dad's cremains in Lake Erie this summer. While it will be a sad occasion, it will be exactly what Dad would have wanted.
