They don't answer the phones in the morning, don't answer in the afternoon, don't worry though they get a nice long lunch where they ALSO don't answer the phone. I used to be a patient there but was never able to get in because they would constantly change and cancel appointments. One time they called me to tell me they had changed the date and time of my appointment, I explained I couldn't go to the new appointment because I have to work (Like everyone else in society!!) and they were shocked. Also every time I went here there was a blonde nurse with a real sour puss attitude, everything annoyed her. She once answered a question the doctor asked me and I had to interrupt her and correct the wrong information she was giving. I was only 18 at the time, the whole thing was so odd. Anyway I left because I couldn't get any appointments or care there anyway and years later (now) needed my medical records to see a specialist for surgery. I had a pretty serious undiagnosed gynecological problem but I can't even blame them for that because, hey, they never saw me. I called multiple times to get my records sent over to my current doctors which for some reason they were never able to do, they also told me they could not give me any printouts without charging me. They sent me over to records who sent me back. One of the admin told me "I had no idea what I was talking about" when I asked about getting my own medical records. I basically threatened legal action and they had me go to a place in Medford I had never been to FINALYY get my own health records so I could get the life saving surgery I needed. Please if you have any issues above a pap smear DON'T GO HERE. They can't do or handle anything.

I was seeing her for a recurring issue which she assured me she would be able to tackle after I explained that I had seen many gynos for this same condition and didn't want to be put on the same meds again. she said she would work with me to figure out a different approach and then never did. After the first appointment she told me she would do some more research on new meds and alternative treatments for my symptoms, but the second appointment rolled around, and she started the appointment with "why are you here again?" she didn't remember me and also failed to read my paperwork beforehand or do the research she meant to do-- she asked me if I had my year exam and I said yes I literally just had it done with her the week before. she started to piece it together and said she would do the research she previously promised and get back to me-- this went on for multiple appointments-- all of which I was fully charged for which was very upsetting-- i felt like I was being strung along, she'd book another appointment and fail to have any answers by the time it would roll around just to ask me to book another one. she was very kind but ultimately unhelpful and unprofessional. I also want to add that the portal system they use is really convoluted and confusing, messages I sent through the portal often were not responded to, and on the flip side I happened to have an outstanding balance on there that I was never notified about (no phone, email, or text reminders!) other than it just sitting there under a different tab which also felt kind of strange.

They have seen me through general care, 2 pregnancies, my craziness, peri menopause and everything else under the sun. They listen, yes actually listen and make you feel respected and truly cared for. I just had a procedure in their office. What would have been awful was a bearable experience because of them. Dr Thacker is very knowledgeable and absolutely sure of what she's talking about when it comes to the lady parts. She made sure to go through each step to find and fix my problem. Along the way she kept me informed with what she was doing and why. She recommended a few options for care and also gave her suggestions but in the end left it up to me to decide what I wanted to do about my health. This not only made me comfortable but happy that she was allowing me to choose. I am so grateful for and extremely happy I found her. Dr Thacker's staff is extremely kind, patient and knowledgeable, I would specifically like to mention Katie who I love so much, she always makes me feel comfortable and at home when I visit the office! Chris also made the check in and checkout process easy and simple and was so helpful and knowledgeable when it came to insurance and payments. The facility itself is very clean and always at the optimal temperature so you remain comfortable even while waiting for your appointment. In closing the flexibility, willingness to work with my schedule and fit me in at the last minute really meant a lot to me while receiving care. She is the person you see at every appointment and is there to deliver your baby till the end! We loved how patient she was and friendly and even talked about her personal experiences . She always checked on the progress even after delivery and suggested few best options for lactation, nursing and took care of every step even before delivering my baby explaining things to deal with ,clearing my doubts all the time. Her staff is very friendly and helpful and she is available on call/text for emergency questions and any help. If you are looking for an OB and want someone who is there from beginning to the end of your journey, she is it! Delivered my baby with peace of mind and was lucky to have her as my OB.

Christine at the front desk was spectacular and…read moregave me a referral for a new gynecologist after I explained my horrific experience with a doctor who obsessed over my age & my eggs fossilizing before I had kids (I was 32). Maureen (who did my mammogram) made me feel comfortable, or as comfortable as possible when getting your breasts smashed like pancakes in awkward positions). Jean took me back and showed me the pictures, explained everything we saw and made sure I understood. Fabulous ladies - all of them. I had surgery w/ Dr. Kristen Smith and she was awesome! The women at the hospital where I went for the surgery (melrose Wakefield?) also did a great job of getting me in and out, talking to me the whole time and making conversation. Very funny ladies - made the experience not scary at all. It's rare when I can say I had good experience with breast cancer - but, well, somehow these ladies made it possible. I always left feeling hopeful, or relived. Not to sound sexist, but a bunch of men couldn't pull off the experience I get at the Comprehensive Breast Cancer Center. yay for women!
