This place is off the charts good! We came here after the town's tree lighting ceremony and parade. Our kids were hyped up on sugar overload but this spot was so welcoming to our family. We met the owner and could tell she took such great pride in providing not just a nice setting but high-quality food. Without a doubt, you need to order the dough balls for an appetizer. We got the ones stuffed with cheese and sauce as well as the dough balls stuffed with cheese, jalapeños and ham. They were fantastic and didn't last long! Great local pizza spot! After a long day at Luray Caverns, we stopped by here to get some pizza. While it did take a while to receive our food, the quality was great! The pizza here is hot and fresh! The toppings are priced interestingly but c'est la vie. I watched the employee effectively make everything from start to finish and the personal pizza is a great size for a lunch meal. Highly recommend going here simply due to affordability and the quality of the food. The garlic breadsticks make a great snack as well! Better than averages this place is a treat, even a tot appetizer which was my first time, but is now a staple that is so yummy it makes me too full for the rest, there are worse problems to have! Also, I've had the 3 cheese pizza + pepperoni and that was a winner. I would love some béchamel and pesto and local tomatoes when it's time Jenny! A very special place in a small town, Jenny Lynd's pizza is as good as it gets. The crust is homemade, chewy, and delicious, and it reheats better than any pizza I've ever had. We occasionally drive through Madison to travel to Front Royal and today we missed breakfast. So we were starving by 1pm and I looked up a sandwich shop. Jenny Lynd's popped up and we stopped in. I got a cheesesteak and my husband got a hot italian sub. Both were amazing. We also got the funnel cake fries with raspberry sauce. I highly recommend this place. We have had a lot of trouble finding good non-greasy pizza in Ruckersville and it's worth driving 15 or so minutes to Madison for their pizza...it's fresh and non-greasy and has a great crust. Definitely worth the trip!! read more

Great local pizza joint in Madison. It's a great place to stop on your way back from a hike! The pizza is great, starting with the crust and toppings! The crust is on the lighter, fluffy side, not thin. The ingredients are delicious, especially the pepperoni, sausage, and Greek pizza toppings! The buffalo wings are worth trying, but they aren't the best. Stick with fries, mozzarella sticks, and fried pickles for sides. I'm pretty sure all of these sides are frozen foods that are reheated in store, but are still good. The staff is very friendly, especially the owner Crystal. She offers very personal and friendly service. Last note: this is Madison, VA folks, not NYC. Sorry that this small town pizza shop doesn't measure up to NYC. Not sure why that reviewer who left a one star had to reassure us that she must "know" pizza simply for the fact that she lived in NY/NJ for over a decade. Give this joint a try! read more

Great pizza with fresh ingredients and a great crust. Service is always friendly, and service is timely. If you call ahead, the management will give you a very accurate time when your order will be out of the oven. What fantastic pizza! Our family ordered a bunch, including the Buffalo chicken, a spinach and feta, and a veggie pizza sub. By rights that last one shouldn't be allowed -- it's a sub sandwich with pizza as the "bread" -- but my goodness it was delicious. Crucially, the pizza crust is fantastic: not too crispy, not too doughy -- a Goldilocks level of perfection. Also, the service is fantastic: friendly, funny, and fast. Can't beat that! Kind of disappointing. So me and my family have eaten here a couple times now. The food has always been decent, nothing to special about anything other than their pizza. The staff is kind of hit or miss in terms of politeness. The male members of the staff at the time that I'm writing this review are always nice and treat me and my husband with respect. The other young female employee... not so much. The owner has her moments, I have not experienced this personally, but I have heard from friends that they have witnessed it. But the main reason that I am posting such a low review is not because of the food or the attitude of the staff. The last time I went into the restaurant, I had a rather unpleasant shock. First and foremost I had to wait an extra 15 to 20 mins for my food even though I called ahead and gave them an excessive amount of time. For the reason I will not be returning to Jenny Lynd's is that when I finally did get my food. I notice the younger woman using an electronic cigarette right by the food prep area. Now I for one can understand needing to go outside for some sort of smoke break, but doing it in the restaurant right by the food is a little much. Also the owners does this too according to others customers that I asked but I have never seen it myself. Lastly the most ironic thing is that the door leading into the establishment has a sign that says no E-cigs. So eat here for ok food and ok staff, but know you might have smoke blown onto your food as they make it. read more

The pizza crust is not done--makes the pizza super soggy. They don't put enough sauce on it either so its substandard. They just don[t know how to make a pizza ! I even asked for and paid for more sauce, but it didnt happen. Kinda reminded me of a saltine with a thin smear of ketchup on it. PLace is real smelly too, like tons of onions. YUCK ! I have lived in Madison my whole life. Just a couple months back my parents told me they tried the food here and it was really good. I took their advice and tried it. I am SO glad I did!! I don't know how I've lived here for so long and would choose Subway or McDonald's when this lovely place was here all along!! I am OBSESSED with the Greek Salad!! It is by far the best Greek Salad I have had EVER!! Every time I am asked what I want to eat, that is what immediately pops in my head! We have tried multiple pizzas, meatball sub, mozzarella sticks, chicken wings, etc. Everything has tasted phenomenal! And everyone when we order and pick up is always so nice!! My husband and two friends and I loved this restaurant. Each of us ordered something different and it was great we are getting ready to order dessert now because we assume it's going to be just as good. The owner was very friendly and made our stay great. What luck to find Jenny Lynd's in Madison! We had just the basic tomato and cheese pizza and it was perfect. Rivals any pizza I've had at the best pizzerias in NYC, and, sorry, but that's where you find THE best ! Overheard the couple at the next booth commenting on the great quality of their meal as well. (Burgers and fries). Well run, clean, great service and friendly staff. Reasonable prices too. You can keep driving to Culpeper or Charlottesville but you're not going to find better than Jenny Lynd's. read more
