Definitely come hungry! It was really good, and the sausage was probably my favorite part of the meal. It was that old-school, ground sausage formed into patties, and the flavor was so nostalgic. It immediately reminded me of the kind of sausage my grandmother used to make. The only real miss for me was the potatoes. I appreciated that they were actual hand-cut potatoes instead of the frozen cubes you sometimes get at restaurants, but they had absolutely no seasoning. Even just some salt and pepper would have helped, although onions and green peppers would have made them even better. Without ketchup, I honestly wouldn't have eaten them. I also had a peach mimosa, which was delicious and refreshing. Rachel, our server, was great. She was attentive without hovering and offered suggestions and recommendations, which I always appreciate. Overall, Grill 309 was a nice breakfast spot with generous portions, really good food, and especially good value for the price. But, having patronized this place several times over the years - I'll say that the quality has dipped significantly and it's a darn shame because it's really hard to get decent pizza in this town. We'd normally get a regular large cheese pizza and it was always cooked to perfection back then, but now the cheese tastes off and the overall quality of the pizza just isn't there anymore. The location itself has seen better days too. I've been there on multiple occasions where there's a putrid smell coming from somewhere within the place. It's not every time, but it's enough to be noticeable. Above all else, the staff has always been kind here. I've never had anyone be rude here.
