Situated just off of Rt 30 / Lincoln Highway in Cresthill IL on the side of the road it's a little red house with a decent sized parking lot. Super cute and way cozy. It's larger than it looks with seating inside in nice booths and really well decorated. It's also very clean and customers keep rolling in on way to work. The staff is awesome and the women I spoke to informed me that they've been there about 5 years and that all the pastures are made in house. I placed an order for a cake with 10 days' notice, but had to cancel the very next day after…read morefinding out the bakery is closed on Sundays -- the exact day I needed the cake. This information was never mentioned during the ordering process. When I requested a full refund, I was told they could not refund the taxes "by law," even though no service was ever provided. I was also told the $30 tip could not be refunded because it is given to employees immediately. I understand tipping for a service, but it does not make sense to lose a $30 tip simply for writing down an order that was canceled the next day. On top of that, refunds are not returned to the original credit card and are only issued by check. I just want to make other customers aware before placing an order. Think carefully before placing an order because if you have to cancel for any reason, they still want to charge you regardless.
