We ordered the calamari and potato skins for appetizer which were typical app fare. We ordered salads, club sandwich, flounder, kids grilled chicken (fries was brought) and kids grilled cheese with fries. Chef salad was okay. Mostly romaine. Two slices of tomatoes and cucumbers with a small amount of cheese and bacon substance. The kids meals were okay. The flounder was good. Club was nothing spectacular. Ok I red the reviews and still chose the eat here because they were so mixed, plus several were suspicious in that the reviewer has no friends on yelp and no other reviews, curious. We have the 8 plz sirloins/fried shrimp and the 12 oz ribeye w/ loaded baked potato. First off we were the only people in the restaurant @5:00pm on a Friday night. Our salads came out immediately and were both crispy and fresh. Our meals arrived in a timely manner and cooked to perfection. Yes the ribeye was thinner than I usually see but it was seasoned well and cooked perfectly and had very little fat to meat ratio. The sirloin was also seasoned and cooked excellently and both steaks were quit tender. I would recommend this to the traveling hungry. We stopped by for lunch. The food was great and the service was excellent. Both servers were friendly and helpful. The food was ready promptly. My husband got the honey glazed chicken and rice at the recommendation of the servers which was excellent. Hand breaded chicken tenders and home made sauce. I had the grilled shrimp which was also very good. We'll be back the next time we are in town to try a steak. I hear the teriyaki sauce is excellent also. We were traveling through on a Thursday evening and decided to stop here for dinner. We were the only car in the parking lot. Seemed pretty dead for a dinner rush. First impression walking in, I thought the restaurant smelled like a grandma. As we got seated and the server got our drinks. We ordered an appetizer sampler with fried mushrooms, mozzarella sticks, and wings. My boyfriend asked for the sauce on the side- waitress said she would have to "ask the kitchen" if they could do that. She never came back and told us what they said. However I thought the fried mushrooms were good and my boyfriend liked the mozzarella sticks. Later we got our complimentary rolls. Didn't realize we would get anything complimentary since the waitress took forever to bring them out. Sweet tea was good but we had to ask for refills. I noticed the waitress was really busy with other tables. Seemed like she was the only one working while having multiple tables to take care of and a party. Having a history of serving I tried to be patient with the service since I've been in her shoes before. However the food took forever to get- so glad we got an appetizer or we would have been starving! We spent an hour at this restaurant. It's not a place to stop and eat at and get back on the road to not miss much drive time! When the food finally arrived it wasn't bad. I got the mushroom burger. Boyfriend got a sirloin and fries. Had a really "off" flavor - the closest way I can think of to describe it is like every bite had been simmering in/soaked in some really old musty chicken bouillon cube (like that have been sitting in someone's cabinet forever) concoction...(?!?!). We ate here in mid-July. All I can say about the food is Meh! The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. For what they offer, the prices are too high. Also, They could shrink the menu, focus on a few items, do them correctly(not 1/2 assed as they do now) and have a far better product. They served all the fried foods with ice cold dips. The "Coconut" Shrimp was a real joke, your basic regular frozen shrimps served in very cold icing (think cinnamon buns/donuts) ! Yep! Sugary icing. I've always had good food and service here. We had friends come in from Florida very recently and decided to come to your place tonight. Appetizer came out at a reasonable time. Pretty good. Got our salads, pretty good. We waited longer for our main meals to arrive. All but mine. I actually took a 10 minute walk after the other 4 was served. My dish arrived just before I came into the restaurant. Not so good. Then when we were ready to leave and wanting to pay our bills, 15 minutes before we could get check, I walked up to the register island, she thought we were supposed to bring it up, which I know is not the way it works. Unfortunately she lost her tip and I believe your employees need to have meetings at least once a week, especially the new ones. My family and I stopped here on the way back from a long trip from Memphis, we got gas and wanted a quick bite to eat before we returned to Ohio, this is the results: Food: I order a cheeseburger meal that came with a side of fries for $8.50. The cheeseburger tasted like something you would buy at any grocery store, the fries were essentially of the same niche, and to add to it all my drink (Dr. Pepper) was watered down. Ambience: The area itself seems very desolate, yet alone the "restaurant", we were the only people in the entire place except for the staff (which isn't very welcoming when your from out of town). Staff: Our Waitress smelled like cigarettes, along with the rest of the staff, the service was OK, but they really did nothing other than the bare minimum. Verdict: Its not terrible, but its not good, if you want a good meal don't stop in this area, if you want a quick meal go to the McDonalds across the road, its at least better then this place. All in all, this restaurant needs some work, better staff and food, and a relocation before it can be what it so desperately wants to be. read more

This place is a hidden GEM! Stop by on a road trip and came in with kind of a low expectation. A steak/seafood in the middle of nowhere? Hmm..But man! Inedible food. Ordered Jen's cheesy chicken and vegetables and I got cheesy shrimp and vegetables. I looked at it and my husband said, "didn't you want the chicken?" The waitress said no ma'am you ordered the shrimp. I looked puzzled because I most certainly did not but not wanting to cause a fuss said I'd just go ahead and eat the shrimp. It was disgusting. I ate two pieces of shrimp and that was it. Paid 14 bucks for two pieces of inedible shrimp covered in the same nacho cheese sauce my sons chili cheese fries were floating in. I would have thought at the very least they would have taken the price off since I hadn't even ordered what they brought and didn't eat it. My daughter couldn't eat the hamburger my son couldn't eat the fries, the only edible thing was the salad. My other guest's medium rare steak came out so bloody he had to send it back. All in all we paid 150 dollars for food that no one ate. I'm not surprised there was hardly anyone in the restaurant. And I won't be surprised in the least if this overpriced restaurant goes away very soon. read more
