We met the owner of Jerky Labs while having pau hana at Inu Island Ales. Probably one the best crispy jerky's I've ever had. Drooling over the Lemongrass! Mel working @ Inu Ales recommended it and the owner kindly gave a sample to try. We immediately devoured it and bought some to take home! Our favorite was the Lemongrass Jerky, so ono! It is thin and crispy which is different than your usual beefy thicker jerkys. Great for gym junkies and meat lovers. Recommend! I believe they go to the Kailua farmers market and sell at gyms. read more

This past Sunday, we were on our way to Lokahi Kailua Market and saw their pop up shop. Jerky Labs and Kanak Cracks Snacks share the same location. We met owner Kalani. He was mentioned that 1 bag is $10 but when you order online it is $12. My purchase was salt and vinegar. On Instagram, I won a giveaway and got 2 bags of pesto flavor. I loved the thin crisp pieces. Puna from Jerky Labs got back to me after my emails, phone messages, messages via their social media, and even a visit out to Kailua on a day that their hours said they'd be there went unanswered. I initially put in my order on 11/26 with no communication until 12/28, and finally received my items on 12/31. She explained they were small business that had dealt with personal issues and COVID during the holiday season. She was understanding of my frustration and was willing to refund my money or fulfill my order within the week. I chose to get the items I ordered, though I did suggest that they update their customers as to delays even by posting it on their website and IG because to me, they fell off the face of the earth. Although I had initially said I'd pick up my order, they had it shipped to me for free, and it arrived by the end of the work week. In addition to my order of 2 sampler packs, they included 3 full-size packages of jerky chips. I truly appreciate the extra for my previous troubles and feel that they have genuinely acknowledged my concerns. Looking forward, I might still be hesitant to place an order with them during the holidays. It just might be better to find them at one of the craft fairs. Super YUMMMY thinly sliced Beef Jerky chips. Packages are packed full and well worth the $10/bag price. Gives more than other places I've been and has LOTS of flavor choices. If I can give this place more than 5 stars I would. My husband happened to go to Kailua and he remembered I told him about trying Jerky labs. He picked up a few bags for us and I can't put them down. The flavors are on point and seasoned so well. I highly recommend this place for jerky and we have tried the "other" places that over charge for a smaller quantity and lack flavor. I tried the Parmesan Garlic, Salt & Pepper, and Korean BBQ. The Parmesan Garlic flavor had too much Parmesan for my liking, it overpowered the thin jerky. The Salt & Pepper flavor tasted like there was only pepper and no salt but it was still good and enjoyable. The Korean BBQ tasted burnt however the flavor of the Korean BBQ was my favorite out of all 3. I also tried the Lemongrass flavor from a friend and didn't expect to like it but it was surprisingly good and worth a try! Overall, Jerky Labs wasn't the best I've had but it was worth it for the price. If you order online and meet for a pick up, each bag is $10. Definitely worth a try! read more

To my surprise, these crispy and tasty beef jerkies are so magically prepared and manufactured. I never did try these thin jerkies before but they are so delicious and I just can't stop eating them. Just love it! The varieties are so wonderfully presented that you can pick and choose a number of different flavors such as Mango Habanero, Char Siu, Honey Garlic, Sour Cream & Onion, Adobo ... about 40 flavors I think. Jerky Labs is defintely not like all the other Jerky chip companies. With their Quality products & packaging, AMAZING service and Unique Flavors they stand tall above the rest! I had received some small packages from a friend a few days before leaving for a trip and my family & I had to have more! I emailed Jerky Labs and Puna responded right away and also called to follow up. The next day we texted back & forth and he was able to fill my order of 15 bags AND also delivered them to my house on his way home! This saved a lot of time and stress as I was in a time crunch packing for my flight the next morning. So far, I have tried the Garlic Parmesan, Korean BBQ, Adobo & Huli Huli and they have all achieved to capture the true essence of each flavor. My favorite is the Garlic Parmesan. The jerky is thin and crisp like a potato chip. It's dangerous because you can't stop eating them. I tried The Hulihuli flavor, it was July 2019s flavor of the month. The Hulihuli totally reminds you of the skin from that fundraiser chicken you smell along side the road.
