I'm back again, and I need some pulled pork BBQ! The parking lot smells amazing, and even on a Saturday afternoon, there's no long wait. I got a table right away. The waiter was super friendly and helpful. I ordered my favorite pulled pork sandwich with fries and coleslaw; remember to ask for coleslaw on the side and extra BBQ sauce. The best sides are the smoked macaroni and cheese and my favorite whiskey-smoked baked beans. The black sweet tea is good; no alcohol is served yet. I'm still full, and my husband ate my leftovers this morning!

What's up 808 and visitors to the 808, This BBQ is excellent plus, we enjoy our experience at Whiskey Smoke 808. Literally we ate everything on our plates with that in mind, we almost ate up our plate as well. The customer service was fantastic. Excellent plus they cater to our needs and then also some dietary restrictions that were easily adjusted. I ended up ordering the beautiful pulled pork nachos, which were fantastic made with an excellent brilliant taste and cheese sauce, which they make on site themselves and also utilizes it in the macaroni and cheese. I was more than pleased with this restaurant. Highly recommend it and will definitely be coming back again when we visit the 808. The environment gives classic barbecue restaurant lots of good art on the wall lots of good high-quality vibes thank you guys so much and really appreciate what you're doing.

We sampled: Loco Moco bowl - Regular size with brisket 2 choice plate: - Brisket - Pork rib Comes with 2 sides: - Smoked mac and cheese - BBQ beans Nachos - Size small with brisket Pork rib was great but if I had to choose one, I'd go with brisket. It was tender and moist, which is hard to find because most are really dry. The cuisine at this restaurant is reminiscent of mainland style BBQ. 26 photos should be included with this review.

This is a family run, small business, that's perfect for the area. Their barbecue is slow smoked for 16 hours, right on the premises. You can a their smokers at the back of the parking lot, going all day long. The interior it's clean and bright, and they do dine-in, take out, and deliver thru the usual services. The parking entrance is a bit tight, but can be negotiated, with lots of parking behind the bldg. Their menu is what you'd expect from a great BBQ place, with brisket, pulled pork, ribs, chicken, and all the fixings. Service was good, and relatively fast. I ordered their brisket sandwich with fries and the bourbon BBQ sauce. It came on a soft bun, overflowing with meat, coleslaw, and sauce. You definitely need a lot of napkins, or a knife and fork (or both). The taste was meaty, smokey, and a bit tangy, from the combination of the sauce and slaw. Next time, (and there definitely will be a next time soon) I'd order the sauce on the side to dip as needed, and I'll definitely want to get one of their enormous plates of combo bbq.

First time here, heard about them on YELP and T.V. The place was pack at lunch. The food was a lot, the brisket was the best part, everything else's was good too. Wanted to order 1lbs. Brisket at lunchtime...waitress said cannot, need to save for customers? If you're in Kaneohe, give this place a try. Aloha, Derek

Whiskey smoke was donated today to a conference I was attending today at Windward community college and holy lawddddd blesss you all. Mac and cheese was perfect. Little cut up pieces of sausage was snappy and had the perfect amount of char on them. Ribs was beautifully smoked, brisket lovely, beans not too saucy or sweet. The numerous bbq sauces available, the cut up pickled radish/jalapeño really hit the spot today. Will definitely be by with my family to visit when I'm back on this side of the island. Thank you so much for the amazing food.

Meat Platter was great! Everything was above expectations. Reasonable prices for Island Bbq. Service was awesome. Can't wait to return.

4.5* Good, friendly service. 4.5* Delicious food. I enjoyed the brisket meatloaf, tho a little dry (add egg and breadcrumbs!) My sides were the smoked BBQ beans (amazing!) and the Elote street corn. Thankfully the Elote was off the cob, served in a paper dish (delicious!). The serving size of the sides was generous; please keep it that way! Our plates also came with chow chow, which is pickled cabbage (yellow) - ono - and pickled onions (pink). Tasty complements to a great meal! The spicy guava sauce was good, but I tried the coffee bourbon sauce and it was "brok da mout!" delicious!!! Going to order that sauce the next time I dine there! And I WILL be back!

I had the whiskey/ coke teri burger deluxe and side Brussel sprouts. The service is very friendly. We came on a Sunday , unfortunately some of the items were sold out . The burger taste pretty good , only thing I wish the sauce had a little bit more flavor. The brussel sprouts were tasty. Most definitely will be back to try more of the menu.

I enjoy good bbq. I have to say I enjoyed my lamb and beef. Alote was flavorful and the Mac & cheese was actually good. I am hard on grading Mac cheese but I'll give it 4/5. I did order it again. Meat was so tender. Service was good. Sitting area was small but it wasn't very crowded. Ice tea was not to sweet, good. I was impressed by the bbq flavor. Really it was good. Oh had to come back and say the bbq sauce was spicy tangy and excellent. Enjoyed it. Leftovers were delicious. I hate leftovers but Mac cheese was top gun. Yesssssssss!

We got to Whiskey Smoke 808 on Sunday, late afternoon. The driveway to the parking in the back is narrow and one way, so slow down before taking the turn in. The back has a lot of parking for the amount of tables they have for dine in guests. The dine in tables aren't meant for large parties. The max I could see was 6 and the seats are bench like. We got 2 plates, brisket and pork ribs. Our sides were rice (x2), elote corn, and mac n cheese. We couldn't decide on which sauce to get so we got them all. They gave us just a fork and I can see why a knife was not needed. The meat was so moist and it just falls apart. I enjoyed the coffee bourbon sauce and, to my surprise, the guava chili pepper. So tasty! The desserts served in the display case were so very tempting to purchase all flavors. We got ube mac nut, banana pudding, and brown butter pumpkin tres leches. so yummy! And finally, the staff was welcoming, informative, and quite attentive to everyone's needs. Very much appreciated.

Only time I ate there was when they were a small food truck vendor at a high school event, we wanted to wait for the hype to die down a bit so it wouldn't be as crowded. Overall love the location since it's in Kaneohe, the menu is simple and enough. I love the sides that you can choose. Food was great, so much flavor. I loved my bacon brisket tacos. Service was awesome, Ki'i made sure to walk around the guest and make small talk with them, making sure everyone was enjoying the food etc I will definitely be back again.

So impressed with our experience at whiskey smoke! My family loves texas bbq but it's hard to find good bbq on the island. We tried whiskey smoke for the first time tonight and as soon as we got out of the car you could tell this place would be good. The smell of smoked meat surrounded the air as they were smoking the meat right from the parking lot. The workers were so friendly and even gave our dog a water bowl. We ordered "the menu" which was just described to have "a fuck ton of meat" so we started with that for our party of 6 not knowing if it would be enough but it definitely was a fuck ton. It comes with 4 sides so we got the mac and cheese, baked beans, elote corn, and rice and they were all good but nothing too special. The meat on the other hand was all amazing- it came with pork ribs, brisket, sausage, pulled pork, and chicken. The brisket was probably the best, super juicy and melted in your mouth. All the other meats were great too, all super smoky and tender. It also came with all 4 of their bbq sauces which were all pretty good, the guava and lilikoi sauces were definitely fruity which I thought was weird when I tried it on its own but actually went really well on the meat. Overall really good food and service and great value, we will definitely be back!

parking - gyukaku is located in windward mall closest to the entrance with the parking lot…read moreconnected to buffalo wild wings, kickin kajun, and planet fitness. plenty of public parking available. very quick walk from any other mall parking stalls if there's no close parking me and my boyfriend went on a wednesday at around 6:00 and arrived to a 20 minute wait. the restaurant wasn't super packed but being a weekday i assume they were understaffed for a dinner rush. no problem! we just had a little walk around the mall and they gave us a call when a table was ready for us staff - very kind and attentive! we've been once before, but didn't quite remember our experience/how to order. our waiter explained the menu to us and gave some recommendations based on restaurant favorites. all staff were very friendly and had no irritable attitudes when asked for assistance or any changes order - there were all you can eat options, as well as ala cart! we chose ala cart, just because we didn't feel like we would be able to eat our moneys worth. we got: 2 orders of shabu meat, one in each type of sauce (miso or soy), scallops, garlic shrimp, kalbi, takoyaki, mushroom medley cheese fondue, and garlic butter! all those meats added up were enough to fill me and my boyfriend + leave us space to share a red bean taiyaki & ice cream afterwards! the foods i personally enjoyed most were as follows: scallops kalbi = shabu meat. cost - our total bill after tipping came out to about $100 for the two of us. we kind of went a little over board for what we would normally like to pay for a meal, but we were celebrating valentines a little early. if you wanted to visit more frequently you'd probably have to order less from the menu or come with a larger party to keep the price reasonable! or simply have the money to spend lol 4/5 stars just because the cost doesn't feel justified for the quality of the meat. staff were wonderful and this score has nothing to do with them. i just don't like to give 5 stars if i was not fully satisfied with the experience! it's also a restaurant chain so i'm even less inclined to judge lightly if it's not a small business.
