We were able to park on the street for free, but there is also areas to pay for parking. We spent a few hours walling the town, going in and out of shops, galleries and wineries. Many of the buildings had plaques stating what the building was in the past. A nice way to learn about the history of the town. The views of the Sedona's Red Rock , Verde Valley and the San Francisco Peaks were beautiful. Worth spending a few hours visiting.

But they mean at the end of the longer tour not the one hour tour. If you're going to do it take the long tour. Or the history tour. Otherwise it's really not worth anything. But still if you need something to do go for it. Just don't expect much. I didn't expect anything and I was still let down. Not worth the amount of money it cost. This is just my opinion and I'm unaware of any other ghost tour in Jerome AZ. I bought my tickets online and went to the place in Jerome that does ghost tours. Cool looking place that has a lot of dog stuff which seems like they may favor dogs.

The tour guide Joseph was so kind and full of energy. The video you watch when you get there is a very heart felt explanation of the passion to continue this community. They own 800 acres and the property is built on 20 acres, it was built between 1971-1975 for the main spaces that are shared. 45 people live there but could range to 80. They show how the products and structure are made. I had no clue about silk casts and loved the hands on understanding and history. They have concerts, events, gatherings. Etc at the amphitheater. Check out the website. The cafe is closed. You can stay as a hotel guest overnight. They offer apprenticeship also.

Clearly what the original architect had in mind many years ago never came to fruition as it really hasn't changed in years. Is appears to be a small artist community but we didn't see anything going on at the moment so couldn't tell if it id still active or they make everything south in Scottsdale at Cosanti. There is a gift shop where you can watch a brief video on the history and learn about their wind chime creations. Personally I've received many of the wind chimes over the last 20 years for housewarmings or Christmas gifts. Each is unique. The greeter in the gift shop was friendly and stated there is a tour available as well. We didn't have time for the tour but purchased a couple of small gifts. He suggested visiting the Scottsdale location as well which is called Cosanti. I had no idea it was located in Scott's well. Will check it out.

A nice little history museum about Jerome…read more We popped in here while in town to have lunch. The history museum occupies the back 2/3 of this building. The front 1/3 houses a gift shop of many art pieces etc. There was a $2 pp fee to go back to the museum section. We found the artifacts, plaques and more to be quite informative on why Jerome exists and what it was all about in its heyday of mostly copper mining. If you're in Jerome and want to take a deep dive into its history, this stop is a must.

This past November while riding through Jerome I was stopped and harassed by the local police department for failure to follow a traffic control device. Guess what? There was no traffic control device to follow. So after making it clear I would be fighting the ticket, they switch charges to unsafe passing on the left. Wrong again, the road was 3 lanes wide and a one way. Needless to say the crooked judge could not let me get away without a shakedown, so she invented a new charge, noise violation under Town of Jerome Municipal Code. Noise violations are completely arbitrary and without any measure of sound, it's preposterous to make such a charge. Needless to say $127 lighter in the wallet I suggest you DON'T support tourist shakedowns. (This is not the first/only shakedown I know of, just the only one that happened to me - standard line, "It's just a municipal code and there will be no points on your licence, just mail the $200 in.")

We had been on small tours before and the guide went through the tour quickly and ended early. Not this Guide! Dave S. was a wonderful guide! He took extra time and care with us, a couple Seniors. He enthralled us with constant stories of surrounding towns and Jerome. He has amassed a great deal of knowledge having lived in the area since a small child and with various guide jobs over the years. He actually asked us what we were interested in and took care to allow us to take in the sights and pictures. And in Jerome, since my wife uses a walker, he dropped us off in front of the restaurant where we planned lunch, then picked us up just up the block. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour and were very fortunate to choose Tours of Jerome and Dave.

You can stand on it and think about how long it would take you to hit the ground if you fell. I am terrible at math but there's some sort of formula there. There is some information regarding the mining history of this site as well as an infographic that compares the length of the mine shaft to famously tall buildings. Easy parking.
