Read about this company online before we made our trip out West. From reviews and comments, we decided to book the tour in the middle of the week. We had self toured Jerome with our children 30 years ago and the town and area had grown quite a bit. Turns out, it was a slow day and we were the only two people on the Classic Jerome tour. We had been on small tours before and the guide went through the tour quickly and ended early. Not this Guide! Dave S. was a wonderful guide! He took extra time and care with us, a couple Seniors. He enthralled us with constant stories of surrounding towns and Jerome. He has amassed a great deal of knowledge having lived in the area since a small child and with various guide jobs over the years. He actually asked us what we were interested in and took care to allow us to take in the sights and pictures. And in Jerome, since my wife uses a walker, he dropped us off in front of the restaurant where we planned lunch, then picked us up just up the block. In just a little over two hours, we got a fascinating overview of the history of Jerome. Our tour, Austin, guide was not only articulate and personable, he had a great sense of humor. We walked for part of the tour and then an air-conditioned van in order to visit the two mining areas. The staff at the tour office were also great communicators and friendly. Wow! I wish I could give this company 10 stars! First off the 2 hour tour of Jerome is a must if you truly want to get to know this awesome town. Our guide, Jason, was knowledgeable as well as friendly. He knows most of the locals in town so we felt as if we got to know the people as well as the sites. That's not what you get with every tour. We plan on a second visit to Jerome to take his haunted tour. I must also add that the customer service we received was terrific. My teenager left her purse on the van and they were able to work with us to retrieve it. They did not have to do that, and it was much appreciated. My only regret? Not taking the tour at the beginning of our visit. So don't hesitate to book early! read more

Went on an amazing ghost tour last night, picked up and guided by Dave. The tour itself was incredibly atmospheric, informative, and jaw dropping at times. Dave was the most phenomenal tour guide I've ever had in any sort of tour, not just ghost-themed. He was funny and very personable but most importantly he was passionate about what he was doing and what he was talking about. The tour features EVP (electronic voice phenomenon) detection and everyone gets EMF (electromagnetic field) readers as they walk. The former of these was unique to this tour for me as I've never experienced EVP in person before. Spooky stories galore and hundreds of pictures taken (and encouraged by Dave). These pictures were asked not to be looked at until the end of the tour, and I swear to you when we all looked at the pictures we saw ghostly orbs and I caught what I can't in good conscience deny the possibility of being an apparition. The BEST ghost tour I've ever been on. First timer in Jerome and I wasn't disappointed. Dave was an amazing tour guide with the most ghosty ghost jokes. Love the history and lore of Jerome. What made the experience so unique was that the tour was interactive and we got to use EMFs and EVPs to communicate with the linger spirits of Jerome. My daughter requested a trip to Jerome specifically to go on this tour after her classmate told her about it, and it did not disappoint. Dave was a great guide and very knowledgeable in a variety of ways. He was also very entertaining and put in a lot of effort to make sure that everyone was engaged and having a good time. My 9 year old had a really good time. I would not recommend bringing younger children if they aren't interested in spooky stuff. read more

We had Dave on our "just jerome" haunted tour (we are pretty sure- our tour was at 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Wednesday, April 10, if that helps at all) It was just my brother (15) and I (18). despite his audience being a young adult and a kid, he was still very friendly and funny, and was really encouraging when we were nervous during more hands on stuff like asking questions over EVP. We did different EVP sessions and he taught us little tricks for taking pictures of spirits. Even if you're a skeptic, the stories and history of the town are so entertaining and informative. We got some really good EVP and had a lot of fun. read more

Kind of a 2.5 star experience. The tour is a fair amount of history and story telling with a handful of spots where you can try out your ghost monitors. Nothing they can do about the traffic or the weather but it's mostly a visit to potentially arbitrary spots with stories. I guess that could be said of most haunted tours though. Go but have realistic expectations of what you are getting into -- a modified historic tour with a ghost emphasis, of sorts. Our guide was Dave and he put on a good presentation and, as with all activities like this, you're only going to get back what you put in so try to have a sense of humor about it. read more

Best tour in town. None can compare. I have been back on the tour for my second time now. Get together with Jason S. Voss best tour guide in Jerome. It's worth every penny. If it's your first time then I definitely highly recommend it to you. He does a very professional and incredible job. Extremely informative about the town and has access in places others can't go. I'm praying he can get in the grand hotel for tours:) some day. he is the only guy the Hotel should trust. I won't ever go to Jerome without doing his tour. Also check out his incredible art. His very talented. I bought a painting this time around. Going to cherish forever:) There are other haunted tours in town but they are not half as good. They don't have the info and terrific personality of this guy. He takes his time and doesn't rush the group. Don't be afraid to ask questions because he knows his stuff and he loves answering your questions. This is a lan who truly loves what he is doing. My husband and I are "healthy skeptics" we were hoping to hear some really great ghost stories while getting some history and tour of Jerome. We were hoping to have one of those moments that stopped your heart or made you a believer, but that didn't happen on the tour. We were hoping for some "hot ghost action" since it was Friday the 13th, but the ghosts didn't deliver. But that we do not blame our guide for! We had a fun group of two other couples plus our tour guide. I don't think any of us were hardcore believers but we were all hoping to get a little freaked out. They provided little EMF readers and flashlights and we provided the laughter. We really enjoyed the walking tour and a few stories and history that was shared. We saw things and got some history that we wouldn't have gotten otherwise. We possible even captured an orb on camera. The guide was happy to answer questions and provide history when questioned and we were able to get a really good history tour in the process. We were hoping for more ghost stories, or stories of amazing wild west showdowns and those were lacking. Additionally, we were really hoping that we would be taken into some of the building (especially the supposedly haunted ones), but we only went into one and it was very limited. We recently took our boys (13 & 11) on a weekend birthday adventure trip to Jerome. Part of this adventure was an evening ghost tour from Tours of Jerome. Our tour guide (Dave) was fantastic. He gave us an adult friendly PG tour. With the help of Dave's unique personality, whit, humor and subject knowledge we had a fun night learning about the towns sorted history, quilt makers, restaurant industry and ghostly encounters. Dave is obviously passionate about what he does and makes the experience fun and enjoyable for all, including the skeptics like me! This was THE coolest ghost tour I've been on. We actually COMMUNICATED with the dead. We got to use EMFs and take photos. I ended up with multiple photos of orbs. I participated in a Ghost Tour and this was the best experience I've had in a while. Dave gave us so much history and so many stories of death in Jerome. We actually used EMF detectors and PSB11 Voice Box. We heard voices and captured orbs on camera. Dave helped us set our cameras to take pictures. Overall it was quite the experience. My friends and I decided to take the 6:30PM Saturday night tour and JP was very knowledgeable and friendly. You really learn a lot of history of not only Jerome, but the surrounding cities of Clarkdale and Cottonwood. During dusk hours, JP informed you of the history of the smelting on the hills, what houses were below you in the cities and surrounding areas. You continue to walk around the town and learn about the brothels of yesteryear, the history of buildings and alley ways, and also explore some of the hotels. We were lucky with experiencing an orb at the Mile High Inn. Several tour group members had EMF readers that went off near a mirror and another member filmed on her cell phone while this was happening. After several minutes, the meters stopped ringing and the member reviewed her video and we call saw an orb moving, zipping up and down on her cell phone video. It was quite interesting and fun! Just heads up--- keep cell phone and EMF readers AWAY from each other or the reader will ring constantly and give a false positive. Also bring water with you (you can buy a bottle from JP inside the check-in room for $1 but JP also said he wouldn't mind if tour group members run in for a "drink" at the bar and he'd wait outside a few.) For the evening tour, grab a flashlight (provided at checkin along with EMF reader) regardless if you or someone else in the group has one. Jerome is full of potholes, uneven stairs and it's just plain dark, so be sure to grab it! Also--LOTS of walking, up/down high incline of the roads, walking on uneven pathways and roads are full of potholes. Also expect to walk several flights of stairs, either inside buildings and outside. I can't express this more- wear very comfortable shoes and expect to walk at least a mile or so (per my Fitbit, we walked nearly a mile on the 2.5 hour tour, and Jerome is a very small town.) Also bring a light jacket to wear. It was a bit chilly for late April and a breeze kicked in and several people were chilly. Shops are also closed so it's not like you can run into a store for the convenience and buy one. Being from Phoenix, we are used to this but hard to grasp in the small town, shops are closed early. The 6:30-9pm tour is long so be sure to eat before or have a good snack afterwards as you really build up an appetite. My friends and I wanted to grab a late dinner but most places close at before 9PM so we were almost stuck eating granola bars in our room but Haunted Hamburger graciously took us in near closing (8:56PM) and we got our order to go. So just a heads up! Per JP, if the Jerome Grand Hotel's "NO VACANCY" sign is lit, he cannot take his tour group inside the hotel due to space, and not being able to actually view the rooms with the history. We stayed there and I know if it is not busy, the front desk clerk is extremely nice and will tell you stories and if not busy, show you a few things and literature near the desk. My friends and I had a great time with JP and highly suggest this tour due to the fact it gets you around town and you get to experience so much more history of Jerome. read more

My husband, teenager and I went on the two hour Haunted Tour last evening with Jason as our guide. What a great time we had. Learned a lot of history about the town, played with a Spirit box and EVP measuring devices. Jason was very knowledgeable and entertaining as we strolled the town and got to go into some places strictly off limits to most folks.
