He and his crew came in and did a fantastic job removing the tree and cleaning up afterward. Then just this last weekend amidst all the straight line winds and micro bursts that plagued Rockford last weekend I had a very large pine tree blow down on my garage. I called late on a Saturday leaving a message not expecting to hear from anyone until Monday. Tony called me back Saturday night to touch base. He came out on Sunday and gave me an estimate the same day. We had to wait to move a dumpster out of my driveway so his equipment could get in to do the job. As soon as it was moved he was there the next day with his crew. He gave me an estimate and went over what I wanted and what the estimate covered. He told me what additional he could do and how much extra it would cost if I wanted it. (IE Stump grinding vs bare minimal tree removal) They were fast. They were professional. They cleaned up after themselves. They did good work. I can't say enough good things about them. This one tree was a monster, maybe 80' tall, and 2.5' diameter at the base. They didn't have to do this for me knowing I couldn't pay in full or even pay much at all. They did it, because they knew it needed to be done. They did it, because they didn't want them to fall on my house or my kids. There aren't too many companies like this out there. Cherish them when you find them. Another company for example told me it would cost almost 3x as much, that they needed specialized equipment, and that they wanted me to take sections of my fence down too... Nelson's? They showed up, climbed up, used ropes, and saws... No damage to anything.

Do not use this service if you need to have trees removed. We hired them to remove 3 trees and…read moreclean up our back fence line since our neighbor had trees over hanging our fence. They charged us $2000 more than originally quoted because "they were big trees and took longer than expected". That was probably because the guys were on their phones so often as they only had 1 truck removing waste. He charged an additional $750 to clean up the back fence line but then left before the job was done. He claimed the fence line was covered in poison ivy (it wasn't) but wouldn't give us a refund either. We argued with him to come back to finish the job and he said he would but came up with excuses every time. We argued with him for several months before finally requesting the refund and refusing to listen to his claims of coming back and finishing the job. At that point he blocked our numbers and stopped responding to us. Unrelated to our service, my neighbor which is disabled, asked him to cut down a branch over her house. He never quoted her a price and charged her $800 when the job was finished.
