Having lived in New England the last decade or so, I was so tired of living in the "sandwich desert." Knowing I could go anywhere in the area for dinner, I was craving a NJ deli. This was terrific. Service was great. The place is old-school convenience-style, clearly serving the marina. It's located perfectly. It was clean-ish/maybe...but what I was after was the food. I got a really good, and BIG Taylor ham, egg, and cheese with S/P/K. I figured it would be my appetizer (as they're typically a polite 3-bite size). This was delicious and substantial. The only thing keeping it from perfect was the ketchup was oddly tasteless. Typically the sweetness of the Heinz balances the salty of the cheese and Taylor ham. This may have been less than Heinz brand and was tasteless. For the main event, I got their Italian Sub. Add hot peppers. Holy cow! GIGANTIC AND REALLY FRESH AND TASTY!!! All of this was way more than I imagined and made me so happy to be back in the 973. Really great find by me (lucky). If this is lesser-known, go and tell everyone you know. If I'm the last to know, then you are all one step ahead! Taylor Ham was $8. Fantastic deal. Italian sub was $15. Could easily feed 2. I'll be back.

I had been there twice now and although the 2 young ladies behind the counter are nice, I can't recommend the bagels. They are huge but not light and fluffy, but doughy and too chewy, kind of gummy. I went there to eat with a friend recently and it was probably about 92 degrees outside and they were the only business with the door open! Yes, they had a working AC but the owner doesn't want to put it on. They have ceiling fans, but the staff was not allowed to turn them on! Gee, so much for the customers! Other people were asking as well and of course who would want to eat there? We had salads, which were a decent size and nice presentation, but I had about 50 mini olives on mine (way too much) and guess what? They all had pits! And many were rotten. I'm guessing they cut corners by choosing olives with pits, but that's bad for customers and they were bad quality. Lastly, before we were even out the door - with no more customers - the owner/manager came out with a large industrial can and sprayer of pesticide treatment, spraying around the edges of the floors.
