The door dining room was clean and only one customer present and ordering. Staff took my order, not a lot of friendliness, but not rude either. I got a chicken, bacon ranch. The sandwich took too long, but was good. Fresh bread and the sandwich was hot. First time I can recall ordering and I would get again. Over the last 10 orders, 6 of them have had some sort of issue. When putting in pickup orders they've been either short staffed or just plain slow. Parking is also a pain as it's in a small strip. Staff doesn't pay attention to detail and I'm pretty sure they do not know how to read either. The Jimmy John's across the road has been our new go to. This is a nice spot. It is quite popular, so if in a rush, lunch at 11 and dinner 4:30. Yet that is what it is. This area is quite busy. Yet thank you for "Mike's Way." Get that bacon on your sub, and it's delicious. I'm not a fan of the tipping option. While I generally will put a dollar or two in the tip jar, unless a full service restaurant, this seems out of place. It's only an opinion, and others are doing this too. As for the people working here, my hats off to them. They are nice men and women. As for the menu it's limited, but the vegetables are extremely fresh. Also an opinion it's priced a little high. This was the first time I've been to a Jersey Mike's Subs location and my food was amazing. I got the veggie sub with gluten free bread. Possibly the best gluten free bread I have ever had, slightly sweet, and fluffy. The inside was very clean and the workers were nice. read more

My son and I went to Jersey Mikes on Pantios for a quick bite... walked up to the counter and asked the older lady... "Hey, How are you today?" She glared at me and said something under her breath... I said "excuse me?" ..... another glare and then asked gruffly.... What do you want.... I told her.. no more contact whatsoever... meanwhile the other two younger girls were huddled together whispering and giggling. Strange and uncomfortable customer service culture. I noticed they were talking and laughing with each other the whole time and not interacting with the customers at all and when they did it was quite inhospitable. What's happening? The Jersey mikes on 29 is awesome... I'll go to Jimmy Johns from now on. There's another sandwich place within walking distance, may want to get it together. This place has some great sandwiches and staff. This was my first time eating at Jersey Mike's and I was not familiar with the menu and all of the extra options that they had. I go in often for lunch bc my work is really close by and they are always friendly and with a full staff always on board, you are never there long. If I mess up my order, they fix it no problem. Check your order for accuracy when placing mobile orders. On NUMEROUS occasions they have filled my steak and cheese with onions when it was clearly removed from the order. So disappointing to drive 45 minutes home to find that I couldn't eat my dinner. read more

For fast casual dining my family has found this place to be one of the best! The food is consistently fresh and tasty. They make the subs to order (which is especially wonderful with the cheesesteaks!) The sandwiches can be on the pricey side and are a little small (my 5 year old can polish off the meatball sub by himself) but they are also in the Charlottesville Attractions coupon book (BOGO) and there's a yelp check in for a free drink and bag of chips. Employees are masked and pleasant. No place indoors to sit down, but the restrooms are available and clean. We've come a few times since COVID19 to pick up food to enjoy at a park or playground nearby. read more

Ordered 3 giant subs online for takeout and every one of them was disappointing. All three were steak subs and at least 3 inches of bread had not a single thing on it. Extremely disappointed with the way the staff allowed a man to walk in with NO MASK ON. When clearly there was a table with several free disposable mask available. They say location is everything... This Jersey Mike's is in a great location for me. It's in a strip of businesses on Pantops that has everything I could need on a Saturday. It has a place to get your haircut, a self serve dog wash to clean up after the dog park, lunch at Jersey Mike's and a coffee at Starbucks. When we arrived at Jersey Mike's there was only one other customer. It was a little late for lunch. While I typically get the club, I had a taste for something different. The one person in front ordered 6 sandwiches so I had plenty of time to decide. I ended up going with the Chicken Philly. I love that they cook the chicken on the flattop behind the counter. The same goes with the onions and peppers. They come out piping hot. Another point for Jersey Mike's is the bread. On one trip to Philly (ironically on a cheesesteak tour) I heard one the main differences between various cheesesteaks is the quality of the bread. The bread at JM's is the perfect texture. You have a hearty bite of bread that is just soft enough due to the hot cheesy chicken. Great flavor from the onions and peppers makes each bite great! The one negative for me is the price. I feel like the price point has continued to rise. I know quality ingredients aren't cheap, but not at the rate i've seen. Overall, very nice place that I plan to return to. read more

My girlfriends and I were on our way to hike yesterday and wanted to grab a sandwich to bring along. We ended up at Jersey Mike's because it was open at 10 am..we actually walked in right as they opened. The three employees were not bothered we were there so early, in fact, they treated us with amazing warmth and hospitality! My sandwich was fine, but what my friends and I were impressed with were the people. I have gone to this shop a couple times and every time this woman who is assistant manager or manager is yelling at employees in front of customers. She is rude to customers and a little condescending. I go out at lunch to relax, not to get stressed watching her yell at paying customers. Stopped yesterday afternoon 9/19 to pick up a sub for my son. I was appalled to see that they were cleaning the floor of piles of trash and food scraps as they were preparing the food including shaking out the rubber mats. I took a picture of this, questioned why they were doing it with open food nearby and the staff got extremely angry at me. The male employee screamed at me not to take his picture, threatened to kill me, had to be restrained by a coworker. They ordered me to leave. I called 911, stepped outside, the male employee came out, pretended to get something from his car continued to shout at me and threaten me. Police arrived (I think they had actually come for lunch and simply got the call) and defused the situation, took my report, eventually the officers facilitated a cash refund for me. The individual who became irate and threatened me continued to work. I will never again go to this location. I also left a detailed report of this with the corporate office. read more

Yesterday my cousin treated us to a sub at Jersey Mike's Subs. I was impressed with the staff and the sandwich fixings. Everything was fresh and the sub bread was soft and it was simply an excellent sub. I will be returning. The staff there was great! they seemed to want to help you and get it right the first time and get it to you quickly. Thanks to the staff for a pleasant lunch and delicious lunch. The subs are alright, I'd probably give them. 3/5 for their subs. I'm giving them a 1.5/5 for how expensive it is for what you get along with how they outright ask you to tip the cashier. When you order the sub and get to the checkout and pay with your card, they ask you to answer a few questions on the payment screen. The questions are how much you want to tip... and they just look at you waiting to see how much you tipped. I shouldn't have to pay for getting a sub. I didn't eat there nor did they serve me, I just thought it was ridiculous for them to ask that. Their service is no different from Subway or Little John's, so why do they think they can ask us that.
