This is your standard Jersey Mike's. The only issue is, they will occasionally get your order wrong or even put this wrong sandwich in your bag. That leads to you having to check each sandwich when you go in for pick up, which is a hassle. As far as ambience goes, it's pleasant inside I would say, however, be on the lookout for tables with food particles under it or on it. The employees need to be more cognizant and routine on cleaning. read more

These sandwiches never miss, they are always perfect and never slacking on any ingredient. The employees are so kind, and always manage to make the ordering process personal. Food was great but customer service and wait time was HORRIBLE. I placed an online order and it said 10 minutes, I waited 25 minutes and what bothered me most is people who walked in and ordered got their food faster than me!! My wife and I are retired and live right around the corner. With that said, I hate going to this place. Unfortunately, my wife loves their subs (and I do too for the most part). The biggest problem for me is their condescending attitude and questionable customer service. I always go inside to order our subs. the meat cutter asks for my order and I tell him/her what I want. he/she then turns to the person and asks what they want. At first, I was impressed with the ability of the meat cutter to remember everything until I saw them incorrectly making my subs. I had to repeat my order twice to the meat cutter and then twice to the sub-builder. The person behind me asked for vinegar & oil with lettuce and tomato and was chastised in a very negative tone that he should say Mike's Way". I thought the customer was going to reach over the counter and slap the sub-builder. How about they slow their roll a little bit, especially the meat cutter, so they can get the order correct the first time and dial it down with the rudness. read more

The last 3 time I've ordered from this location, my order has been wrong. Tonight, I went to pick up dinner for my family and I didn't like the way my Buffalo Chicken Cheesesteak bowl looked. I called an employee over and he informed me that they're out of bacon which was part of 2 of the other meals. I wouldn't have known this if I didn't call him over since I ordered on the app. I asked for the manager and he said he didn't know they were out of bacon. Huh? Why don't you know what's going on in your restaurant? He told us we can take chips and soda as compensation and he would refund us for the sandwiches that should've had bacon. That was acceptable. But then he said he couldn't refund us because we paid with a gift card. This was unacceptable to me. I feel like he could've found a way to refund us even though we payed with a gift card. It's a sub shop they cut meat in front while you order they people that put your lettuce tomato onions mayo and more are very stingy. I had to keep asking for onions they put like 2 rings on a sub and 2 tomatoes but load up the lettuce. Then the V&O they slop it all over. It's ok for something quick. read more

As one of the few places in Calvert Co offering gluten free I have been willing to part with the extra fees on top of the already pricey hot steak or chicken sub approx $20 a sub. But tonight I ordered online. The driver picked it up but didn't show up at 8:30 and the app didn't know he had even gotten my food. Arrived over an hour after it was ready and 30 minutes after it was supposed to. Call to store was unhelpful. Told to contact Door dash but you can't as it doesn't go thru the Door Dash App. So I pad $13 for terrible delivery (considering I am about 12 minutes away). Food was cold. And if you know anything about gluten free bread, you know it can't be reheated... especially when the hour time lapse left it like mush. So disappointed. read more

I've been to this place before and had a good experience. However, I'm pretty disappointed this time around I and don't think I'll be going back.... at $13.25 a sub I expect to get what I ordered. Not only did they give me the wrong bread, but did not give me the correct vegetables as well which is a pretty big deal for a sub without meat. Worst service ever. Walked in and waited for someone to acknowledge me. No one else was in the store. The two girls kept looking at each other and neither looked up to help me. 3 stars because they forgot our cookies, which my husband looks forward to like a kid loves cake, and the dismissive customer service was a deterrent. We mobile ordered and while waiting indoors for the order (that took 25 minutes), most of the staff was hard at work, but the prep lead and cashier were not welcoming or engaging. The cashier had his back turned like he didn't want to interact with people, the man wrapping called out a number or name, but that was the only interaction attempted during the 20 minutes I was there, other than customers having to come and ask about their orders repetitively. The sandwiches were DELICIOUS. So don't get me wrong, I love the food, just think there is a massive opportunity with customer service. To his credit, the cashier seemed young, so maybe he can be coached more with how to be welcoming and interactive. I came in to order two subs today and they seemed a bit understaffed, so I was expecting a bit of a wait. Each of the employees were working at a quick pace, but were still falling behind it seemed. This wasn't the issue, however, as someone who works in food service myself, I can handle the wait. This issue came when I witnessed the presumed manager, a thin woman with blonde hair, treating the employees extremely unfairly. Her tone of voice, along with a few cuss words, made me extremely uncomfortable to even witness, so uncomfortable that I will not be coming back. If I want Jersey Mike's, I'll get it while I'm out of town. The people behind me were visibly uncomfortable as well, whispering to each other and literally cringing. This was very disappointing because all other staff members, the cashier and line cooks, were very professional and were clearly stressing to make up for lost time. Now it has been renovated but has charismatic employees who rarely change their gloves a midst a pandemic whilst touching every service known to man within this establishment. I've been going here every week since it opened, and have been happy with the food, but I think it's finally over. There's no telling what will be in your order. It may be a completely different sandwich, or it may be a variation, which is not even published on the board. You now need to personally supervise how the sandwich is assembled in detail. And you need to explain things like the phrase "extra tomato" doesn't mean "tomato only." Since I like to order in advance and pick-up, I won't be ordering again, unless I eat-in and can watch the process end-to-end. I don't want to get all the way home to find out the sandwich is wrong. Chicken cheese steak... no no no ... terrible ... it was awful, over cooked, meat was dry and hard. They put on way too much cheese, not much meat to even taste if it was cooked properly. Busy place. The subs were good and huge. One full one can be shared by at least three people. Nice to have a place like this in Dunkirk.

The quality of the food at this restaurant is good, however it lacks in every other aspect. The music was really loud, the floors were filthy, condiments were not stocked, the temperature in the store was freezing because the back door was left propped open, and the employees were all goofing off and cursing in the background to be heard by the customers. The employees were wearing latex gloves, however they were wearing them consistently between multiple tasks of preparing food and working in the back room, Drinking personal drinks, cleaning the café, etc. one employee was sitting on the counter while talking to other employees. This restaurant has the potential to do really well, but with the lack of management that I experienced I don't think expect it to stay open very long. read more

I'm a regular customer of Jersey Mike's at other locations. I arrived at this location at 6pm. This is the most DISGUSTING location that I have visited. Trash (food, latex gloves, order receipts) covered the entire floor behind the counter and under the cabinets and grill. There was even food debris at the employee entrance to go behind the counter for all customers to see. Employees were preparing sandwiches on cutting board, then placing sandwiches on counter (after being wiped with a dirty towel from underneath counter) and then placing on the sandwich wrapping paper. Thank goodness, I didn't eat from here. The manager was rude, unprofessional and I informed her that she needed to "clean her nasty floor". I WILL NOT be returning to this Jersey Mike's location AGAIN. read more

I used the app to order for delivery and was told it would be ready in 15 minutes for pick up. Arrived at he store ten minutes later and entered to find 2 couples in line, one ordering and one waiting. There was an order at the pick up window which wasn't my sub. The cashier ask my name and told me they were working on it. There were a total of five employees there including him. I sat down and started waiting. Within a few minutes there were maybe ten people in line ordering and waiting for there orders. After another 10 minutes and after watching at least half of those people recieve their orders I was asked my name again and told he misunderstood the first time and that it would be just a few more minutes. By now a second pick up customer has arrived and was asked his name. Another five minutes and all but 2 of the people who ordered after I came were either eating at tables or had left. I asked what was going on and the cashier went back to the area where the subs are started and asked about my sub and I heard the lady ask, oh, is he here? The cashier said yes and he's been here a long time. 25 minutes to be exact. As I watched the subs being put together I told him that if one of those weren't my sub he could cancel the order and credit me back what I paid. He asked if I wanted either a refund or to talk to the manager who was the lady he talked to earlier twice about my sub. I declined and asked again if my sub was being finished or not. It was the third one in line so I let them finish. 32 minutes after entering the store I finally received my sub. It is apparent that the skip over the online pickup orders to serve in store customers first. I've been to this location a dozen times or so since they opened and never had this happen. I won't be going back. The subs are terrific but the service is horrible. I believe this was a new manager and maybe she just isn't qualified to do the job. They need better staffing or will end up like so many other establishments with a big old closed sign on the door. read more
