I very rarely give one stars. Usually there is SOMETHING you can find that is redeemable about a…read morerestaurant. But not this one. Starting right off with the ambiance, we requested a booth. We were walked past numerous open booths and put in a corner where you had to squeeze past 2 other tables where people were seated to get to it. When those guests left, they started sweeping the floors and kicking up dirt while we were sitting there eating. They cleaned the tables (not the chairs) and then sat the chairs upside down on top of clean new place settings. I started with the salad bar (an extra $6.99 charge to my meal). The photos on the menu showed crispy chicken. I get up there and it's three (SMALL) 6"x12" pans with browning wilted lettuce, spinach, and spring mix. Nowhere was there chicken or any sort of special toppings that resembled what was shown in the photos. My main was the vegetarian Benedict. Avocado and tomato on a toasted muffin topped with eggs and hollandaise sauce. I asked for grits as my side which was a choice on the menu. I put my butter on the grits and it never melted. I noticed and touched them and they were cold. My hollandaise sauce had 0 flavor and was like one of those packets you get from the store where you just need to add water. Even the eggs were flavorless. The avocado was browning and had a weird texture. I had asked for a little extra hollandaise to try and offset. Later I found I was charged a fee of $2.06 for modifying the meal but nothing was brought up about an up-charge when I had made the request. My friend had gotten carrot cake and icecream. The menu had said add a scoop of icecream to any slice of pie or cake for $2.99. We were charged $3.99. Every item on the bill had an additional "fee" added to it. When asked, they said that was the price - but it did not reflect the menu prices. Save yourself the money and frustration, and go across the street to McDonald's or Wendy's. It's a cleaner atmosphere and you get what you pay for there.

We went with our son and went to the actual restaurant side and stood at the window and that must've been a bother because no one approached(at least 3 people behind the counter and not busy) us so we headed over to the bar in which the bartender said we couldn't sit in the bar because of our son. Okay where can we sit? She said oh you guys can go out to the Tiki bar, okay awesome! Well they had entertainment and we were immediately told we couldn't be there either so back to the "dining room of 4 tables" we sat down thinking maybe it's like a normal restaurant...nope after 10 additional minutes no one approached us so we left! Definitely disappointed because we were told the food was good but lack of customer service is a reason not to go back! Tip of advice: Save yourself the aggravation of proper seating at this place if you have kids and go to Palermos(food is always good and service is always on point)!

Yes the screamer sauce is spicy but it is really tasty, and the fluff chills it out in a very harmonious way. The burger itself is a juicy double patty. The fries reminded us of high school football games and the pierogies were fun with extra toppings. If you learn of the Screamer it is then your destiny to pilgrimage to Girardville and dine on them. Pay your respects to Josie and the amazing family legacy that lives on. We have to go back to try a Growler. Things we learned that we wish we knew before visiting. 1. Seems like the most up to date info on the restaurant can be found on a public Facebook Group called "I Love Tony's Screamers". There is currently no phone. 2. *Right Now* their hours are Thur & Fri 6pm to sell out. 3. You enter the door with the ramp, not actually next to their sign 4. You take a plastic number when you walk in, to get in line for your order. They call your number out to come give your order. 5. Everyone there was super nice and the waitress had no problem answering anyones questions or explaining their menu items. You can order your food however you want it 6. You pay after and its **CASH ONLY**

This is one of those places that nobody talks about that is a kept secret in Schuylkill county. The people that know this restaurant won't really tell you about it because it's a secret locals only, but I'm telling you if you happen to be, passing by Girardville and it's 730 at night. Stop in and say hi you won't regret it.
