Many locals love the chili, burgers, & Fries. It's a hometown favorite and a must stop for people returning home for a visit.

Best chilli and coldest take out beer in the county. I also recommend Tommy's burgers.

I very rarely give one stars. Usually there is SOMETHING you can find that is redeemable about a…read morerestaurant. But not this one. Starting right off with the ambiance, we requested a booth. We were walked past numerous open booths and put in a corner where you had to squeeze past 2 other tables where people were seated to get to it. When those guests left, they started sweeping the floors and kicking up dirt while we were sitting there eating. They cleaned the tables (not the chairs) and then sat the chairs upside down on top of clean new place settings. I started with the salad bar (an extra $6.99 charge to my meal). The photos on the menu showed crispy chicken. I get up there and it's three (SMALL) 6"x12" pans with browning wilted lettuce, spinach, and spring mix. Nowhere was there chicken or any sort of special toppings that resembled what was shown in the photos. My main was the vegetarian Benedict. Avocado and tomato on a toasted muffin topped with eggs and hollandaise sauce. I asked for grits as my side which was a choice on the menu. I put my butter on the grits and it never melted. I noticed and touched them and they were cold. My hollandaise sauce had 0 flavor and was like one of those packets you get from the store where you just need to add water. Even the eggs were flavorless. The avocado was browning and had a weird texture. I had asked for a little extra hollandaise to try and offset. Later I found I was charged a fee of $2.06 for modifying the meal but nothing was brought up about an up-charge when I had made the request. My friend had gotten carrot cake and icecream. The menu had said add a scoop of icecream to any slice of pie or cake for $2.99. We were charged $3.99. Every item on the bill had an additional "fee" added to it. When asked, they said that was the price - but it did not reflect the menu prices. Save yourself the money and frustration, and go across the street to McDonald's or Wendy's. It's a cleaner atmosphere and you get what you pay for there.

Our suite was spacious, clean, well-appointed, and very cozy. Detailed instructions throughout ensured we didn't have any frustrations operating doors, locks, coffee makers or heaters! Breakfast in the large, beautifully appointed dining room was absolutely amazing and featured home-made beer bread, specialty omelets, exquisite baked goods, and a variety of coffees and teas. The owner, Allison, and her staff, Kristy, were attentive, informative, and genuinely nice people who engaged us in conversation. Our suite, tastefully decorated in eclectic furniture, had two bedrooms with very comfortable mattresses, a long, carpeted hallway and a vintage-tiled bathroom. Our stay was restful and stressless in the quiet, homey atmosphere of this bed and breakfast that combines features of a B&B from earlier eras with the modern conveniences of an Air BnB. We will stay here again for sure.

Her hospitality is top notch. We've stayed with her a few times and always choose the top floor "Maids Quarters". It a step back in time and enjoy it very much. It does sit on the main road but Allison has thought of that with a cool sound machine to take to you the beach while you slumber. Comes with everything you'll need with some special extras. The made to order breakfast is fantastic. This last visit I had carmalized french toast with perfect bacon and a sweet fruit cup. It was wonderfully delish! Day before perfect executed poached eggs on homemade wheat beer bread toast. The combination was so so good. We will return again and maybe try one of the other quaint cozy rooms.

Large interior with thoughtful design. Didn't seem like I was in a small town. Hostess sat us by the pizza oven. . .I was mesmerized watching them remove ash from the coals. Huge selection! We skipped apps and decided to share a salad and order pizzas. The small house salad was huge! Since wet we're sharing they gave us options to select different dressings. Dressings were both unique and delicious. In my opinion the pizzas are also large. Only ate 2 slices of the wild mushroom white pie on pinsa crust. I did also try a slice of the fig & rosemary ham pinsa crust. . .amazing! I would recommend this crust! It wasn't too thin, crispy, and flavorful. Worth the drive down the mountain!
