I usually get takeout from this Jersey Mike's because I am not usually on that side of town, but I will drive over there for a JM sammy! Yum! I love the veggie sandwich options. If you like a hot sandwich, the portobello mushroom and swiss is tasty and is unique amongst sandwich chains. The cold Veggie sandwich is good - get extra cheese and it is as filling as a meat sub. The Philly chicken cheesesteak is fabulous, better than the steak version. I love the hot pepper mix they offer. Goes with almost any sub on the menu. The staff are friendly. I have had them bring out carside delivery in bad weather and they are still cheerful. Props for that. Sometimes they are busy and hustling and the vibe gets a little rushed but that's understandable. The store is clean. It is small so it gets crowded at peak times. The traffic flow through the ordering line doesn't always work very well, kind of meanders through the tables. They have an outside patio where you can sit if the weather cooperates. The parking lot is crazy tight. Narrow lot with straight-in parking spaces. Add a few big SUVs squeezing in there and you are taking your chances. Save your car doors and park down by the Walgreens and walk to the store. read more

I was so excited when I found a Jersey Mike's in this region that I made sure my phone was ready for a photo shoot. It was my expectation to leave a five star review because I've always had great customer service experiences with JM's, plus their subs are amazing!! Unfortunately, this was not the case today. It was a very weird and strange experience for me. I was shocked that not one of the four people working spoke to me. Okay, I could understand three out of the four (not really) but I said, not ain' one of them spoke or greeted me upon entering or leaving. While they were preparing my order, I asked if they were okay. Still not a word. It was like the creepiest feeling I've ever had because they all were just staring at me but never engaged me into conversation. Okay, picture this, it was something like a horror movie and everyone knows the monster's somewhere around but no one is saying anything....they're all just staring at you as if you're gonna turn into the monster. As soon as that credit card machine said approved, I got my receipt, grabbed my food and began running for the NOLA border. I'm not sure if I walked into the twilight zone or if they were curious as to why I was taking pictures. I did say I'm snapping a few photos for my Yelp review and again, not a peep. I'm not the biggest fan of sandwich places like these. I think Subway has done more to hurt the industry than help it. So I was dubious as best when coming to a Jersey Mike's due to the relative blandness these chains seem to share. I ordered their Italian sub done "Mike's" way. The meats were cut fresh for my sandwich and it had just the right amount of toppings. All in all they are far superior to all the other sandwich franchise. read more

OK, nothing really great. I've ordered an Italian sub both times I have been here. The first time I said sure, I'll take it Mike's way. That's mayo, lettuce, onions, tomato, oil, vinegar. The girl put an insane amount of oil and vinegar on the sandwich. She just kept squeezing and squeezing and it kept pouring and pouring. I couldn't believe it. When she was done I had a pool around my sandwich. Oil and vinegar all over the place! lol I had to deny the sandwich. The second one came out ok. They have a wide variety of sandwiches, hot and cold, and also offer wraps. Pretty pricey. My 7" sandwich was $7.95! If you want the 14" it's $14.25!!!!!! I visited about 1130 am and had my free birthday coupon...which is a great perk; sign up! The down side is it's for a regular sized! Parking lot was packed with constant in and out.... Inside was clean, bathroom too was nice, new.... Young guy making subs would educate and seemed genuine nice and my big kahuna was excellent... I needed to eat a quick lunch. My go-to place is usually Subway and sometimes Firehouse, but I heard Jersey Mike's is so good that I decided to try them. Big mistake! I ordered one of the hot chicken sandwiches, but the "chicken" didn't smell, taste, or look like chicken. I couldn't find anything online about it, but it must be processed chicken. Not good at all and quite pricy for processed meat. I ended up throwing it away. Waste of money. I should have gone to Subway and gotten the rotisserie chicken. read more

We actually enjoyed the subs so much we went the very next day to try more of their menu! My co-worker and I split the Ruben and the Meatball. The Ruben was spot on, hot, juicy meat, great sauerkraut and just a perfect blend of spices. The Meatball was good - not like 80 year old Nana used to make good - but one of the better Meatball subs I've had outside of home. 3.5 stars. When I heard Jersey Mike's opened up in Slidell I had try it while I was in town since I live hours away. When I walked in the first thing I noticed was how clean it was. Then the smell of deli meats, a wonderful aroma. There was about 6 people ahead of me and I had placed my order within 3 minutes. The deli case was indication that every sandwich was sliced made to order. I had the chicken parm (#18) and it was good, but not anything special. There was enough meat to justify the 7.25 for the 7-inch sandwich though. It may have been an off day so I will be giving them another try the next time I am in town. This Slidell Jersey Mike's is awesome! The staff was super courteous and provided great service/food this past weekend. The location was super clean/well cared for. We drove from Gulfport (almost and hour) just to have lunch here. They made us wonderful salads and paid extra care to help us with a food allergy ! Keep up the GREAT work/service! We've eaten at numerous Jersey Mikes and this is way up there as one of the best run/best staff/super fresh EVERYTHING. :-). Thanks for making the drive worthwhile. My boyfriend and I ate here the other night and it was packed! Surprisingly, the wait was not long at all. They have a great little assembly line going on! Everyone was incredibly friendly and our sandwiches were absolutely delicious! I got the #13 and he got the #6- the Italian and roast beef both "mikes way" which is dressed. We decided to try this place and was not impressed at all I bought the Baja Chicken Wrap. For the price and the quality I could have gone to Taco Bell and got for soft chicken tacos and it would have been the exact same thing. It would have been better because all they offer at Jersey Mike's is salsa and the sandwich wrap was Bland no seasoning at all. There was nothing else to put on it and I don't like salsa. Drove all the way to Slidell To get the signature philly and meatball for first trip to Jersey Mike's and the food was ok. Nothing really special about the sandwiches other than the prices. Notice that the menu doesn't disclose the pricing? That's because you probably wouldn't go if you knew what you'd be paying for your meal!!! They shouldn't ask me for my order and then turn around and talk to someone else when I start ordering. And, they shouldn't act like it is a chore to reach out and hand me my receipt.
