This is one of my husband and I's favorite spots. Anytime we're craving good seafood, this is our go-to. The Impeccable Seafood Platter is what we usually order, and it never disappoints. Everything is made fresh and cooked to order--always hot and full of flavor. In the five years we've lived in Slidell, Louisiana, there hasn't been a single time that the food wasn't absolutely delicious. The fish is perfectly seasoned, and the shrimp always tastes fresh and seasoned just right. Outside of the food, we also come for the sweet tea. I don't know who's making it back there, but it is consistently good every single time. The customer service is another reason we love this place. The ladies are always kind, welcoming, and attentive. They bring your food out to the table, check on you to make sure you have everything you need, and are more than happy to pack your food to-go if you can't finish it. For two people, we typically spend around $55 for the Impeccable Seafood Platter and two drinks--but honestly, it's enough food to feed about four people. We decided to try them again after a few years and it was just ok. It's always crowded so we thought this is the seafood place for sure, but... We weren't really greeted when we walked in and when we were ready to order we weren't sure which one of the girls would take the order bc they just kinda stood there. The floor was dirty, trashy around several tables. The seafood platter was definitely plentiful but bland. Not really seasoned and it wasn't hot when it came to the table, like lukewarm. Nice cute seafood restaurant in Slidell. If there is no wait, a menu is given to you to take to the table of your choice. Once you are ready, you proceed to the register to place your order. They offer a variety of seafood options, boil, fried, and dishes. We enjoyed the ImPECKable Platter and the Alligator Puppies. The platter is enough for two to three people. My mother and I shared the platter and we had more than another serving remaining. This will definitely be one of our go to spots when we are in Slidell. The food was good but I wasn't impressed with the service. They were friendly enough, but you have to seek them out. When I walked in I didn't realize "the flow" of the restaurant. It's more like self service, really, than a restaurant. You find a table, go up to the bar and get yourself a menu (weaving your way in and out of people standing in the awkward line to order at the counter). Then go back to your chosen table to look over your menu. You make your choices, then go stand in the line at the counter to place your order (make sure someone stays at your table or else another group coming in may take it and you may have to wait to sit down again). I placed our order, one appetizer and two entrees. One entree came out first... like way before the appetizer. It was nearly 10 minutes later before the appetizer came out, then several more minutes before the second entree. No one waits on you, no one checks to see if you need anything. It is completely self serve. Except you are dependent on them to bring your food out from the kitchen. I would have tipped quite different had I known there was no service involved and our food would come out in the wrong order. But I guess that's why they are smart enough to take your tip when you first order/pay. That said, We really did enjoy the food. The flavor was good and the batter is a nice light fluffy batter. I'm sure it would have been better hot, but we are the type of people that wait for everyone to have their food before we eat. And since it came to us so randomly and out of order, some of it was lukewarm at best by the time we ate. Not sure when we will go back, but at least I know better what to expect. read more

I really enjoyed my food here! My favorite thing was the boiled shrimp. They were perfectly cooked, seasoned, and large. The boiled seafood prices for very reasonable for a restaurant. The staff was very friendly and the food came out fast. The entree portions were enormous. I really liked my grilled tuna wrap as well. The only things that weren't perfect were the boiled seafood wasn't very hot, and the crab cake was bleh. If you want an absolutely huge meal, get the burger roast beef poboy. Our first time getting take out here. Everything was well seasoned and delicious. My favorite is the Crab Cake & Shrimp Pasta. Pasta was so creamy and topped with plump shrimp and a huge portion of crab cake. I used the bread and fried pickle chips to make a mini poboy with the oyster, so delicious. On 1/30/26 I ordered a fish plate with a double side order of coleslaw, since I don't eat french fries because of the carbohydrates. All of the food portions were excellent. Many of us brought home to go boxes. The grilled shrimp tacos were very filling (3) and the shrimp platters were piled high with fish, fries and fried shrimp. We used to love Peck"s , not anymore. You now get 13 large shrimp, they changed the seasoning/ batter on the shrimp. Not so good anymore. They Changed the coleslaw by putting vinegar in it, what a mess. There was NOT many fries on the plate, it used to be loaded with fries! They used to give you enough shrimp to share and have leftovers. We left hungry ordering the same shrimp plate we always have. This is no longer worth the high price they charge. Went to Peck's Wednesday, 12/10/25. So looking forward to a shrimp platter!! Allegedly they are using "jumbo shrimp" for their shrimp platter now... The shrimp were no bigger than their shrimp on the previous shrimp platter AND there were only a few shrimp on the shrimp platter. So disappointed! Great customer service and prices. Especially for the portion size! The lady at the front with the gray hair was so sweet and attentive to us. I really enjoyed the fried shrimp and fries. Full of flavor and so fresh. The oysters and fried fish, not so much as far as flavor. The oysters also tasted a little burnt from the oil. I didn't get a pic of my gumbo but it was okay, I added some hot sauce and seasoning they have at the tables to doctor it up to my liking. Our food came out super quickly! Visited the restaurant with family and friends on Saturday. Three of us ordered seafood gumbo. It was delivered cold. We sent it back for hot gumbo and it was again cold. Additionally, it only had shrimp rather than "seafood". We also ordered fried oysters. They were rubbery and spongelike rather than crispy. Very disappointed in the quality and service. At least the shrimp were fried correctly. Finally, management should update the bathrooms. They are in disrepair. We have had 5-star experiences here and 1-star experiences here, so splitting the difference. Still, we keep coming back, and the food is the reason. There's not a bad thing on the menu. It's all good. It can be a little pricey, but it's seafood which is pricey anywhere (and trust me, you don't want to eat Cheap Seafood.) The po-boys are pretty well stuffed and the bread is the real deal. The fried seafood is as good as you'll get anywhere around here. The salads are good-sized and have enough meat/toppings that a salad will actually fill you up. The food is consistently good, but the service and the vibe is hit or miss. We have had friendly cashiers at the register and rude ones. We have dined in and had good servers and inattentive ones. We have ordered take-out and most times the order is correct but sometimes not. The restaurant tends to be busy, so it is often loud and crowded inside. During Lent they offer fish specials on Fridays and the line extends out the door and around the building. The parking lot is ridiculously small, but there are more spaces available around the back and by the office building next door. The oysters, both raw and charbroiled, are fresh and of various sizes. Taste pretty decent. None too briny. They offer great lunch specials, so I tried the gumbo and shrimp poboy 1/2, which was filling and delicious. The food at Peck's seafood is always excellent. Every time we go there we had the shrimp Poboy, we had the shrimp plate, and we had the shrimp and oyster plate and it was delicious. We also took a friend there that had the seafood platter and it was absolutely delicious the help, the teacher is very courteous and helpful and answers. Any questions you may have about the menu. The seafood platter is large enough for two people to eat off of to try it. The seafood comes out, hot crispy and always delicious.
