Good service and their sandwiches are really good. I like their original Italian sandwich on rosemary parmigiana bread. So tasty.

Been eating here for years & have never had a problem with staff or food. I love the #8 club. It is my go to sub.

Now this was a whole vibe and very much so one hell of an experience that I won't soon forget!…read more Right in the middle of our coaster trip we stopped here on our way to the next adventure and instantly we felt the love from the local community as it was very apparent that they have a very dedicated local following here as there was a few people waiting in line to order with a few more coming in those that came in had a trophy with them celebrating their cousin for being the best and they totally let everyone know it with the staff here calling them by name and just being all for it, then this guy out of no where asks me for a sip of my drink I say it's not mine but my lady's he's like oh she makes the decisions I say yes you better believe it he just starts laughing then his wife tells him to behave as the staff hands him his drink. Those inline then started just talking to us and out of nowhere again one of the staff working says you know them and the lady he was talking to says yes they are friends of mine and we all just chilled in this counter area talking and having an awesome time waiting for our food to be done overall awesome vibes here all around! Now that pepper steak sandwich wow that's good like it was soo flavorful and yummy it had a ton of pepper steak on it that was mixed with some type of sauce that just soaked into it making each bite just that much better than the one before and not to mention it was packed with some veggies too as well as banana peppers to set the vibe even more! Seriously though don't count out that bread that was some delicious bread with a good crunch to it that totally held up to an already strong delicious sandwich! Overall this was an amazing stop with vibes and one of the best sandwich's I've ever had I really hope to get back here again at some point because that flavor was there in more than one way seriously just soo good!

It's always a good time when you can tell the workers and customers are having fun. Even with a line out the door, everyone had a smile and was so nice. Everyone recommended the pepper steak and they were not wrong. This sandwich was so good. The seasoning was perfect and the meat was super tender. The bread was super soft and still crispy. I loved this place I will absolutely be back!

Food takes some time as each are made to order but worth it. Nice and helpful staff at the counter. The Deets: I had the chance recently to go tailgating before an ECU football game, and my friends that regularly do so recommended Pirate's Deli so we stopped on our way to the game. This deli is fairly good sized with a extended menu of offerings on a board around two of the walls near the ordering counter/pickup area. The staff was nice and helpful when ordering. I looked over all the great and plentiful choices, finding the NY Yankee Chicken Cutlet Sandwich (breaded chicken, bacon, melted Swiss, lettuce/tomato, with honey mustard) which looked just right for me. Orders do take a while to come up as each are made to order and there were a few people ahead of us already getting their game day selections. Our orders were out soon enough and we were off to tailgate. The sandwich was very good...just messy enough to be interesting but not chaos to eat and the components came together for a great tasting combination (see pic). I was pretty satisfied with this sandwich and would definitely get this one again. Everyone one else felt the same about their food selections as well. In all, a good stop into Pirate's Deli to secure some tailgating eats before the game.

This is the rancid bacon I was served this morning. Jacob, the manager, doesn't know what the word…read more"rancid" means. His simple ass kept asking me what was wrong with it and I had to break it down like I was talking to a toddler. He was also either sick at work or had put some snow up is nose, because he was sniffling and snorting every two seconds. They aren't concerned about selling spoiled meats, apparently. Jacob and May are absolutely worthless and one way or another, Bagelman is going to make you sick. Quick reminder of their Health Department violations: VIOLATIONS Proper cooling methods used; adequate equipment for temperature control Food separated & protected Physical facilities installed, maintained & clean Proper cold holding temperatures Handwashing sinks supplied & accessible Edit after Bagelman's response: I think the fact that they think this was just a complaint about their bacon shows that they genuinely don't comprehend food safety. And I absolutely told you what you could go do - this was after being told that you didn't understand what the problem was and I said that you need to check food quality because you're going to make people sick. Notice how I never asked for a refund? I was calling to keep you from making your customers sick, and taking ANY accountability was well beyond your capabilities. A decent business would be concerned with selling rancid products - and Jason didn't know the word "rancid", btw. You can literally see the photo. That isn't what bacon is supposed to look like, my guy. Worse, there's no way it didn't look or smell off before it was prepared and put on a sandwich. But by all means, respond with something else showing exactly how obtuse you are. And other customers: All of the violations listed are public record. They're literally available on this app.

We were seated quickly enough but the tables are set up so that some tables have chairs set so your back is directly in front of someone else's chair sideways. So, the diner sitting behind me stared at my back the entire time they were there. I just found this the most awkward of arrangements I've ever seen in a restaurant. I ordered a water & baked ziti with meatballs. When my lunch arrived I thought the meatballs looked dry but after tasting them, while they did look dry on the outside, they were moist and tasted delicious. The rest of the entree was a disappointment. I didn't feel as though there was enough sauce on the ziti, it tasted overcooked and the layers of cheese on top had baked too long. So long it was hard to break off and enjoy in one bite - ziti, meatball and cheese all in one taste. The toasted bread needed more butter as it was just dry toast to me. I had plenty of leftovers and tried to pawn them off on my husband for dinner. While he did eat it all he also made mention that even after heating it up in the microwave, the cheese was still hard to eat. Our server either had too many tables or just doesn't believe in refilling water. I had hopes that if my glass only had ice in it she would take that as a hint to refill it. It was not to be and I had to hunt down a drink soon as we left the restaurant. All in all, this isn't a place I would return to. I liked the atmosphere and the transparent kitchen, it just isn't a place I would spend anymore money in.
