Biscuit joy in Greenville! We're talking baked fresh from scratch right in front of your eyes (ELITE TIP: skip the drive-thru to get the complete experience). Yes, they do other breakfast favs besides biscuits too, but why skip the homemade goodness? Open until 2pm only. Being as this was our first visit, we got a sample of items to try out. The biscuits were flaky and light. The waffle sandwich was spot on,as were the eggs and bacon. I'm not sure if they made a couple of errors in our order, as the spicy chicken biscuit sammie didn't have any spice and the cheese grits seemed lacking in butter flavor. The two pastries we tried (cinnamon roll and berry hand pie) were yummy.

It was ok....I compared to Tudor's Biscuit World in WV and for the grandson and myself, no comparison.

The sausage gravy was not the best version of this dish that I have ever tried but it was very good.

Think Waffle House energy, but local and without the franchise feel. You could tell people actually come there because they enjoy the food. Now as a coffee enthusiast, I'll be honest, the only hiccup for me was the coffee selection. It's straight black coffee only. Not a deal breaker, just don't walk in expecting a latte menu. I ordered the pork chop breakfast (and if you're judging pork... respectfully keep scrolling ). It came with grits, toast, and eggs. The pork chop was good, eggs were cooked right, toast hit the spot, and the grits just needed a little salt. Overall? It's not where you go for an aesthetic brunch with edible flowers and $18 pancakes. It's where you go when you want a GOOD breakfast that feels familiar, filling, and real. And honestly, there's something refreshing about that. Would definitely go back. Greenville needs places like this.

The staff are cool people and very attentive. My go to is corned beef hash with eggs over easy, side of hasbrowns, upgraded to a pancake and add a cheese biscuit. My cardiologist may not approve, but my heart does. YOLO.

We initially had trouble identifying the restaurant, the signage wasn't the best. The menu had a lot of tasty looking choices. I ordered meat loaf, mashed potatoes, gravy and broccoli. The meat loaf was dry, appearing to be overcooked. There was a small mini bowl of mashed potatoes with a bit of gravy, not enough for the meat loaf which might have helped with the dryness. The broccoli came out several minutes later. The service was fine and attentive. I don't live in the area so it's unlikely I'll return.

The mashed potatoes are really good -- creamy and flavorful -- but the salmon is the real standout for me. I love the salmon. It's consistently cooked well and has great flavor. Nothing over-the-top, but dependable food, plenty of choices, and a place you can count on when you're not sure what everyone's in the mood fo

I was driving by one evening and saw they were open and pulled over immediately. When I walked up to the window, the lady working warmly greeted me and answered my menu questions. I ordered the shrimp basket with fries, which came with coleslaw. Within 10 minutes, my order was being served. In true COVID fashion, I went to my car, sanitized my hands, and dug in. I always try to capture seafood at the peak of its freshness since styrofoam often causes the food to sweat and makes the breading soggy. The shrimp were fresh, tender, and well-seasoned. The breading was minimal and crispy, and the inside was perfectly cooked. The fries were well seasoned and crispy as well. I was pleasantly surprised by the corn sticks and coleslaw. Both were fresh and clearly homemade and were the perfect complement to the meal. I could not believe the level of quality and freshness that this meal delivered at only $8--what a steal! I immediately hit the group chat to let them know the gem I'd found. They may have strange hours (Closed Sat-Monday with dinner only Tuesday-Thursday and Lunch and Dinner on Friday), but it is most certainly worth it. I will be frequenting the Gold Post on these days. I cannot wait to try their fried fish.

Wanted the chicken and shrimp platter but they didn't have any chicken this day so just had the shrimp platter, good shrimp and fries, coleslaw depends on your taste was too sweet for mine but a good helping if you like it, they substituted the cornbread with white bread which was a real let down when I opened the container as I always look forward to cornbread. All and all ok and would give another chance but make sure they have everything before ordering.
