I am picky when it comes to sandwiches but I had never had Jersey mikes before and I probably won't go back. The selection of toppings and veggies is very little especially compared to Subway and Firehouse subs. The veggies didn't look fresh. The most important part of the sandwich to me is the BREAD! I love fresh, soft bread. Their bread was really hard and not that good unfortunately. This hurts my heart to write.... as I love their sandwiches... but there has been a service issue during my last two visits. I always use the online order system for curbside pickup. The ordering portion always goes smoothly but the pickup does not. Last week, I waited for 15 minutes past by pickup time assuming they are busy and not wanting to rush them. But when I saw customers coming and going from walking in... I decided to walk in myself. The store was dead, and my order was just sitting there. The gentleman working behind the counter was kind, but the young woman sitting in the lobby made some snarky remarks about not hearing the system go off and that it was not their job to check. *Okaaaaay, pretty sure it is* Flash forward to this week, and I place another online order about 25mins before I expect to arrive. I was shocked to see that my order would not be ready for another nearly 50mins!! I drive to the location and check-in. I could see into the restaurant.... and it was empty. So I was unsure why the wait time was so long. An older man brings out my order, and again...... makes a rude remark about how early I am. I told him I was prepared to wait. Since my order was ready within minutes of checking in.... the wait time evidently wasn't accurate. I have been visiting this location on and off for a few years, but I've definitely felt like they stepped up their food prep game during this COVID crisis. Firstly, they keep the inside very clean, with well spaced out areas to safely order food. My orders have been made well and the staff follow my awkward orders with precision! Sometimes the location is out of some bread, and even soda options (mainly diet drinks), which can be a bit of a pain. They have nice staff and speed but they use way too much oil and vinegar. My husband and I used to go to Jersey Mikes all the time but stopped because of this. I decided after a long time to give it another shot and it was worse than before. I even asked for light oil and vinegar on the order. Didn't matter. There was so much that it leaked through the wrapper, the brown bag the sandwich was in and through the paper handle bag on to the seat of my car. There was an actual puddle in the wrapper. A younger guy and older guy were talking about who was opening and closing at the grill and a girl was standing at the cash register. I've gone to Jersey Mike's subs over the years for their wonderful meatball sub sandwich the foundation sandwich of the franchise. This Jersey subs has no meatball subs what the heck obviously they never been to New Jersey. When I asked for meatballs and sauce the girl I was told they no longer sell meatball subs or meatballs. Tonight I drove way out of my way to go there now that I have a vaccine obviously they're targeting more of an Asian audience. Ignore the poor reviews, they are overly picky and complain about prices (reflects the quality, this ain't Subway), large amount of lettuce (cry me a river, ask for less!), and store cleanliness (no longer a factor, it's spotless in there). Easily one of the best customer service experiences I've had in MONTHS, in addition to a stellar sandwich. Aiden could not have been more courteous and friendly. I was so excited to see that Woodinville has a Jersey Mike's! It's a few blocks from all of the downtown shops in a strip mall behind 7-11 and across the street from Country Market (formerly Albertson's) between Ezell's and Ph Vina and there is a large, private parking lot. The store is clean and has a fair amount of indoor seating (no outdoor seating). The employees are friendly and seemed pretty efficient, but expect to wait a few minutes, especially if you order a hot sandwich. In my opinion, their philly cheese steaks are the best and the #43 chipotle cheese steak is my favorite whenever I visit. Be warned that the regular size is HUGE and plenty of sandwich, at least for me, at 7.5" and a giant you'll want to be extra hungry or maybe share as it's 15"! Hot sandwiches don't come in the 4.5" mini size. I've never tried a cold sandwich, but if you do you have to get it "Mike's Way" which is with onions, lettuce, tomatoes, vinegar, oil, and spices. Make sure you sign up for their (free) "Shore Points" reward card. You can track it by your phone number or download the mobile app instead of carrying a card. I just went to Jersey Mike's for the first time. I was pleasantly surprised. After a little bit of sticker shock, I ordered a regular sub sandwich. It's the price is a little higher it's definitely worth it. The meat is sliced right on the spot. Totally fresh. The quantity of food in a regular sub is way more than the competition.
