I was looking for pork belly and did not feel like going all the way to Edison, NJ. I saw their pork belly beautifully cut, but it was not as thick as I would like. I saw the sign indicating I could ring and speak to the butcher. After briefly asking, he cut it to the perfect thickness, and I will be able to make my sticky braised pork belly. They also carry a vast array of spices, so I was able to obtain my Five Spice here. Before I forget, they have an amazing cheese section. Some are precut, and there is a person at the counter who can cut you a fresh cheese wedge for charcuterie. Overall, a great experience at the local grocery store.

The cooked food is all excellent and lots of options. We also love the fresh coffee beans, it smells so good in this section of the store. We switched our Pharmacy to this Shoprite as well, and the Pharmacist, Shefali Patel, is the best Pharmacist we have ever worked with. She goes out of her way to help every patient and definitely prioritizes her customers and their needs. She is an exceptional provider.

I went to purchase a few things and tried to check out at the self checkout register. So I asked for help. The person running self checkout said the number was accepted, but the display was wrong. (LIE #1) I pointed out that the prices hadn't changed. He said they did. (LIE #2). He then scanned the item with his phone and saw the price plus cost. He then said that the price is requiring a coupon. (LIE #3). I challenged him on that lie and he admitted that the registers have been giving a problem with the price plus numbers (ONLY TRUTH). He then said that nothing can be done about it. No manager or anyone could address the problem. I realize that technical difficulties happen, but repeatedly lying to a customer is hardly a good business practice. I just left everything at the register.

I found a wide variety of fresh produce, including unique Asian vegetables and fruits. The quality of the produce and other products was excellent. Everything looked fresh and well-maintained. You can see employees prepping and bagging/wrapping fresh produce. The meat and seafood counters were well-stocked. There was also a traditional chinese BBQ counter with things like Char Siu and crispy roasted pork which was a great and welcomed suprise to me. The aisles were filled with a good range of spices, sauces, noodles, and other pantry staples from different asian cultures that I stocked up on. You can tell the store was a little older and gives your traditional Asian supermarket vibes so if that holds you back, I would say give them a chance anyway as it is clean, well-organized, and reminds me of my childhood stores. I found the prices to be very competitive.

I then took a chance and purchased them again today. When peeled they were a very odd bright red color that I have never seen pn a mandarin before. I was afraid to eat them. I disposed of them. I then got out the grape tomatoes that I purchased this afternoon. Most were wrinkled and clearly should not have been sold. McCaffrey's is going to have to step up their produce quality to keep my business. I cannot keep throwing food away. I don't have time to waste returning it either. I barely have time to shop. McCaffrey's should be premium quality. I should not have to inspect everything I take off the shelf. I'm deeply disappointed.

Most people go in there for lottery and extensive selection of scratch offs. There always friendly and parking is available. It's the same mall as a liquor store and la villa pizza. Definitely has its convenient items unfortunately at a higher price. There's even a selection of greeting cards. A small selection of cigarettes and cigars etc. Hard to compete with wawa in next mall but this place does okay I suppose. I do believe the lottery is there bread n butter. They have selection of beverages and milk with a few odds and ends thrown in. It's usually always busy best time to go is early. They are closed by 8pm. So if your a scratch off fanatic or just wanna play the lottery this is the place to check out.
