Place is nice , very clean and has a huge bathroom . I love all the tables and high tables near the stage for live entertainment, is it also a cashless venue . They also have a nice merchandise store full of good stuff :) I found the mascot the cutest thing ever haha he's very friendly and funny . The staff needs to work on some serious customer service , they are not welcoming and friendly . It's like a bunch is robots just doing their job and adding to it if there is a game they only sale alcohol while the game is on and not in between breaks or intervals . Haven't been here in years (when the Phillies single A team were known as the Lakewood BlueClaws.) You're still miles from the beach in an industrial park so the "Jersey Shore" designation seems a bit ambitious but the games here remain a ton of fun for very little coin. The stadium is both attractive and modern with very reasonable concessions, making this an ideal family destination. If you love baseball without the hassle and crowds that define the MLB experience, the BlueClaws are a perfect alternative and anything but minor league. Five enthusiastic stars. read more

Great stadium, easy parking, minimal lines, great hat ticket deal. Went with a larger party of 4th of July- 13 of us. We found out after we could have w gotten discounted tickets if we called, but we took advantage of the hat deal so it worked out ($25 for a hat and ticket). Great hat selection for adults and kids- good options of colors and designs. Store also offered some great deals and a sale rack where I was able to purchase my sons a pair of Under Armor branded shorts for $25. Drinks: Loys of stands and options, local brewery represented. Food: Kids took advantage of the chicken finger and fries drink cup- $20 each. Lots of stands around including whole pizza pies, Jersey shore ice cream (the only long line), Taylor Ham stand, tacos, and regular stands. Also offered boardwalk games, mini golf, reserved fire pit tables, lifeguard chair seating, and plenty of grass space. Game was great, we won and they had lots of fun on field competitions during. Featured singer was also phenomenal. Fun time for all, ages 11 to 85. Tip: Remember where you park. With the curved entrance, many people were looking for their vehicles after the game since you can exit more places afterwards. read more

LAKEWOOD: so many happy pups came out to the ballgame for the Jersey Shore Blueclaws Bark in the Park event! It was a fun day highlighted by a pre game festival and then a baseball game featuring the Phillies minor league team, the Jersey Shore Blueclaws! With a pooch pass, dogs gain entry to the game and can enjoy all the amenities. It is a beautiful stadium where you can walk around the 360 degree concourse and see all the concessions, activities, and maybe even run into their mascot, Buster! Every Sunday home game is "Dog Day Sunday" and a waiver must be signed at the box office. We really loved the watching up and coming baseball players, having a drink at the Sand Bar, meeting Buster, also meeting 95.9's and 100.1WJRZ's mascots, enjoying local beer from 732 Brew, watching a few dogs run the bases, and of course, the famous, pork roll, egg, and cheese race around the bases! First time here and I had such a great time with my family watching the Bluecaws game! Beautiful stadium - fun family friendly atmosphere. I was enjoying my experience there so I didn't get too many photos. Plenty of parking. Staff is super friendly and attentive. You have so much to do aside from the game.There are many food stands along with a gift shop too. It was my babies first time there and we received a personalized first time certificate from the gift shop! Such a sweet surprise for their first visit. They also have photo opportunities with Buster the team's mascot! I didn't get the opportunity but they even had a caricature stand- so cool! They also have cool boardwalk games. Plenty of seating around the stadium- tables and chairs with fire pits. Went to game today. Paid to park, heading to the gate someone passing said game is cancelled apparently they got too much rain last night. We'll great we had 6 people who came from 90 minutes away on a summer Sunday and there was no communication at all, Facebook, website, nothing that the game cancelled. I was parallel parking with my daughter in the parking lot, which you can use their establishment if it's an open empty space even though it is private, there was no obstacles in my way and I got chased out of the parking lot because he says it's private property, but there were other vehicles on the lot. I feel discriminated for me and my daughter. I am trying to teach my daughter how to parallel park before she goes out on the roadway and this establishment denied her the opportunity to use their establishment. please be aware do not use. If they treat people like this in the parking lot how do you think they treat them inside the ball field. If I could give this no stars, I would very rude gentlemen beware. read more

Although this place has an excellent reputation and gives you more value for your money, and although so many people just have a great time here, this place is poorly managed. We have had at least two visits recently that were spoiled because of poor management. After the first occasion, I just shrugged it off as an exceptional circumstance. But it happened again today. I am not one to rant too much on these reviews because it's not helpful to readers, but generally speaking when a problem takes place during your visit, it's hard to find a solution. Last time it was an issue with handicapped entrances and being forced to make an elderly guest walk all around the building in the busy street with no sidewalk. This time it was when the ticket machine went down right before the evening Labor Day weekend game. Each time the management disappointed us. They should also not charge for parking. Lakewood is not New York or Philly. The food inside is expensive and not good. In summation: great ballpark when it runs well. But deep down the place has problems. read more

This is an awesome ball park to come with friends or come with family. Very kid friendly place. Field has a park for the kiddos and during the game, they have a eye race and pork roll, egg, and cheese race. Workers wear costumes and race on the field. If you come about an hour before the game starts, they have cheap food and drinks. All drinks are half off before the first pitch. They have a wide selection of food and snacks. No worries if you're not a baseball fan. It's still a nice place to come and have a few drinks. I usually get lawn seats which are $10. I bring a blankets and sit on the grass. If you are an adult and don't want to be next to children, they have a section that is only 21 and older! ( BY THE TIKI BAR)!!!!!! Overall, I love this place ! COME , COME, COME! read more

This is a first class stadium and is the epitome of minor league baseball. It is fun to watch these youngsters play their hearts out to try to make it to the bigs. Good selection of beers (some craft) and food at reasonable prices and the usual offerings of things to buy for the grandkids. First energy Park is a little over 10 years old and it's a very nice ball park in Lakewood New Jersey. It's home to the Lakewood blue claws class A Philadelphia Phillies affiliate. The ballpark is strategically laid out: Grandstand seats, picnic areas section for activities such as birthday parties & business events. There really isn't a bad seat in the entire stadium. The food is even decent from hotdogs hamburgers to Asian food. Craft beer is starting to make its appearance. Seats are no more than $17 down to $7. Definitely a nice place for kids too. If you have a family, it's much cheaper than MLB. Parking is five dollars for all cars. read more

I just contacted the BlueClaws to request a refund for 6 tickets I purchased for the 2020 season and was not able to use due to the lockdown. They have had use of my money for over a year now and refused a refund and only offered credit for future use. As I am unable to attend this year I asked for a refund and they flat out refused! The Blueclaws has always been a fun place to go. I went to opening day yesterday and I was taken back a bit. They are now a cashless venue. Right from the moment you pull in to park the $5 parking fee is now electronic which includes a fee, not sure if it's tax or the % that companies charge to use a credit / debit card, it could actually both. Beverages and food are included in the new cashless society , by the time I left the park yesterday I had 10 charges plus FEES to my card. I was not aware as I am sure many other fans that the venue was now cashless, very annoying. The other thing , I understand that it is a family orientated business but a couple of seasons ago the best seats in the house were in the centerfield Rat Trap area however that area was converted to a kids game area when the kids had a perfectly safe area off the left field line. So now kids who are not watching the game occupy a favoured veiwing area. That area now also requires two security guards to make sure that fans do not bring acloholic beverages through that area. That area was a good thing and a good time as I am sure many fans would agree, but alas progress for people who are not watching the game? read more

I have been to dozens of games and the experience is always superb! My favorite home games are on Thursdays for the 50 cent wings and Sundays when you can bring your dog to the game. This year my husband and I got the all you can eat food deal with our ticket package. It includes cheese burgers, hot dogs, bag of chips, pretzel, coffee and soda. As much of that you can eat but only one item at a time. I like that I don't have to worry about having enough cash on me or what to buy when sometimes all I want to do it watch the game. We got free tickets to the Blueclaws' 2012 season opener the other night. I'll admit, I'm not the biggest baseball fan in the world (growing up and living near Pittsburgh slowly diminished my enthusiasm for the game over the past two decades), but I'd never turn down a chance to attend a game for the fun experience, especially when it's so close. What a great park! I've only been to one other minor league park (Altoona Curve) and this one was just as nice. We had great (free) seats nearly behind home plate, the weather was beautiful, the parking was cheap ($3) and the food/drinks were affordable. This was much better than fighting traffic/parking and forking out a ton of dough for a Major League game. Plus, they scored six runs in the first inning and won the game, 8-1. What a fun night! If I had to say what I've done in the past six months I would say that this is the best value for a night of family fun that I've experienced during that duration. Just five dollars to park and $13 for adults much better value than going to any flick in my book. Tonight I'm visiting my parents in New Jersey and I'm at the blue claws game where I have had so much fun ! IN between each several hits there are games, prizes, T-shirts thrown into the audience, Ball's hit into the audience, food is giving away pizza party is raffled off and only in New Jersey would you find a pork roll, egg, cheese race where figures are dressed in costumes and race around the field- it is one fun event after another .To top it all off , as soon as this inning is over - we will be watching A spectacular firework show; I can't tell you when I've had so much fun! read more

A beautiful night to be at a ball game. Purchased tickets from a school fundraiser. The park is super clean. Ticket collecting is super slow at the entrance gate! No food or beverage allowed in the park. The burgers and hot dogs are absolutely horrible and really over priced! We will eat before we come her next time. Being a minor league baseball aficionado, I can honestly say this stadium is right up there with the best of the best. Single-A Philly farm club is a magnificent venue all around. There are several reasons to love minor league baseball. Of course the price may be the most compelling factor in deciding to bring the wife and kids or friends to a game as opposed to mortgaging your kidney to get box seats at the Yankee game. Being that it's a minor league game who cares who wins. Never having to fight a big crowd to get in or out. They have lawn seating which is wonderful to hang out with the kids and let them run around with the others like a swarm of bees. All food and drinks are significantly more affordable than at a pro game. I love being able to walk around the entire stadium including a quick drive by the cool bar in center field, which is nice to loosen the legs and gut during a nine inning event. There's a little play area down left field for the kids which of course they charge to enter. Now Single-A baseball is still very good, unfortunately you don't see many home runs and pitcher's rarely bring the heat up into the mid 90's much. Aside from the game the Blue claws really cater to the family with all kinds of little contests and fun events taking place during the game. I've been coming here for years and I've never left without having a great time and rarely stayed for all 9 innings, lol. A no brainer top honors rating, enjoy it while the season lasts. read more

I have been to this ballpark twice. It has been fun both times. Granted, both times I have been on one of the two party decks. Having your food and beer provided to you free of charge adds to the said good time. Parking is three dollars and a breeze to get a spot. There is plenty of entertainment to keep the kids occupied including a small inflatable park for them to go nuts in. There are two bars on the property. One just for the club boxes and one in the outfield. The outfield one looks like a blast but I have never had the pleasure. It was the most crowded place in the stadium for sure. There is lawn seating in the outfield as well as standard seating in the stands. The Blueclaws have some clever entertainment between innings which I will not mention here...........MONKEY'S RIDING DOGS!!!!!! Ok I could not resist. Love the Monkeys. Great fun or the family! The parking, ticket windows, and ball park are well run. Thirsty Thursday is packed and worth it if you want to stay in the center field area, but if you have a seat you'd be better off just buying your brew behind the seats. The only negative is the Philly Cheesesteak stand up behind 3rd base. They sell ONE item and don't know how to keep it moving. If you have 20-25 minutes to spare - get one, but I would avoid them next time. Every seat in the park is excellent! read more

The team plays really well and instead of driving the long distance to the major league stadiums and dealing with the prices and traffic, give this place a go. This place gives hope that Central Jersey could handle a MLB team. The place is always packed with fans. If I had kids, I'd bring them here all of them time. There is so much for them to do and a lot of it is really cheap. The food itself I split. There is your generic ball game food and that's generic, a little expensive, and in my eyes not worth it. However, there is a Surf Taco, a healthy side to the regular food area that sells FroYo/Turkey burgers/etc, and a few other "restaurants" that sell food there and that is great. Based on today I am giving two stars. I have been to note Blue Claws games than I can count and they have always been A++++ experiences. Today my husband won the ring toss game after tossing 8/20 rings per $5.00 and the attendee of said game named Anthony told my husband after he says, "awesome I got it do we win?" Anthony proceeds to say "no you leaned". So the professional, mother and wife in me got very upset fast. I said something to the effect of his inaccuracy of said claim and if no leaning was permitted why hadn't he expressed it? He stated it was his mistake to which I responded that it was and by default we won. He told me no. I said ok so no where is said, "rule" posted nor did you disclose it but now my daughter won't get the prize her father fairly won for her. Anthony was basically like yeah sorry. I said no sorry call your supervisor. My husband was like let it go but I'm sorry I have morales and integrity and I paid my money, my husband won our daughters get her damn bear that likely causes the stadium nothing. I looked at an older security guard near by and asked him if I was crazy or out of Line to which he responded I was absolutely right, my husband won and he personally would speak to the supervisor. Let me tell you...the supervisor was the most degrading self righteous human I have encountered in quite some time telling me each and every reason we shouldn't have a prize. I said to the attendant did you disclose any rules or regulations? NO. I stated are they posted ANYWHERE? NO. AND STILL THEY MADE MY HUSBAND OUT TO BE A LIAR AND WERE SO DISGUSTING IT WAS GROSS. I'd like to whole heartedly thank the guard who stood up for us and everyone other than those who man the games for their excellent service (ticketing, stores, food and beverage). But I won't soon forget the way the gaming folks treated my family and will likely spend my money elsewhere in the future. read more
