Barnacle Bill's is great. There aren't too many mini golf places in the area, but this one is really nice. Fun course, 18 holes, and just a beautiful atmosphere. This is one of those places and experiences where I don't even pay attention to the price. I'm sure it's sort of a lot for mini golf, but you'll get a lot of good family memories here. I can't speak to the arcade as I've never gone in and I'm not a fan of the ice cream here. There are better places in the area, but the golf is an excellently fun time! We opted to do a mini golf meet-and-greet for our wedding weekend September 2025, and it was SUCH A HIT! Not only did it provide a casual, stress-free opportunity for our guests to meet one another, but we all had so much fun and my husband and I got to catch up with everyone as we went hole to hole. A family friend also came up with a quiz/challenge game for each team to play to keep things competitive and interesting. Mini golf is one of those ubiquitous Jersey Shore excursions, right up there with grabbing funnel cake/deep fried Oreos on the boardwalk or just setting up shop at the beach. My noble chum posse and I came by on a Sunday night after dinner nearby for a quick game. We didn't utilize any of the other accompanying services here (there was a connected ice cream place and an arcade), so I can't speak to their quality. I'd say the majority of mini golf games I've played occurred before the age of 15 and as a result took ages to complete (especially since the fellow participants mostly came from the same age bracket). Now that I'm hanging with the grown-ups, these matches take about half an hour, which is weirdly anticlimactic. This game was no exception. I'd guess we got over here around 8ish, and were done by 8:30 or close to it. It's possible we sped up a little more than we normally would because there was a family of three right behind us, but it wasn't a huge deal. As an aside, that's a pretty common issue at mini golf - maybe the solution is to intentionally hold off on letting new games start until the most recent customers are at the second or third hole? Food for thought. Anyway. There wasn't too much I saw here that really set Barnacle Bill's apart from any other mini golf places I've been to. Kitsch seems kind of important for these establishments, and it was a little light on that, with the obvious exception being the giant statue of (presumably) Barnacle Bill, who bears an eerie resemblance to Paul Bunyan, minus the blue ox. It seemed to be on the slightly more challenging side, with a heavy emphasis on convoluted geometric angles, streams with real currents sweeping balls away and legitimate water traps - I've often seen fountains and little ponds on these courses, but we had someone actually lose their ball on the fourth hole with no obvious dry way to retrieve it. She stopped playing and kept score instead (and to be fair, we didn't expend any energy in trying to get the ball or consulting with the staff, so that's not on them at all). It was a perfectly pleasant excursion, and if you're in the Seaside or Lavallette area, very accessible since it's right on 35S and there's plenty of parking within a block or so. Also, I won the game so it's a little easy for me to look at this one with rose-tinted lenses. read more

There's very little middle ground on the Jersey Shore, attractions and amusements are either a blatant rip-off or "better than we expected" making mediocrity the five star aspiration. So with that I can confidently say, Barnacle Bills oozes into four stars primarily because their mini golf set up is reasonably maintained and the course itself can hold the interest of anyone over 10. With regard to the food and snacks, I'm not prepared to be so charitable. Grease appears to be the secret ingredient lurking in most menu items and the ice cream is all texture and no taste. But I'm the idiot thinking I could find something edible at a shore joint called Barnacle Bills. All things considered, Bills isn't horrible and besides, there's a limerick of questionable taste in there somewhere... read more

Please note that my review is only for the mini golf, which is great fun! The course is very amusing and well maintained. The landscaping is beautiful and full of colorful flowers. There are multiple water mist sprinklers throughout the course that are refreshing after a day in the beach. The features range from traditional to beach themed. We especially liked the whale. It costs $10 per player. There is plenty of parking. The course is conveniently located near the beach and multiple restaurants. Barnacle Bill's also has it's own restaurant, ice cream and an arcade, although we haven't tried them yet. Definitely going to check them out on our next visit. Highly recommend. read more

It has a high preponderance of expensive games to win tickets to redeem for cheap junk, claw machines, pusher games, and the like. Very few if any video games, except a few of the expensive yet forgettable side-by-side driving/motorcycle racing. The most fun thing in there is an air hockey table. No Pac-Man, Donkey Kong, Street Fighter, etc. I made the mistake of starting with $25 cards for each kid and they had a hard time finding enough they actually wanted to play for that. read more

I'm biased as Barnacle Bills has been a favorite place of mine for decades. Still awesome as ever but unlike many other golf spots, BB's has emerged out of the 70s style Jersey shore mini golf. They installed misters that are a must-have on hot days and with the cafe connected, ice cold beverages - albeit beach expensive - help keep the kids cool. Arcade isn't as great as it was when pinball & PaperBoy ruled the day, but the new games are great. read more

Perfect spot for a quick meal and ice cream. Our server, Haylie, was very warm and friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. My wife ordered the Impossible Burger and I had the Pulled Pork Sandwich. Both were great! We also had avocado bites which were fried and awesome. During our meal we watch another server Maria, make about 7 shakes. She threw out one that was she felt had too much vanilla for a Black and white. Clearly this girl takes pride in her work. The all looked amazing to us. For dessert we had ice cream because what else do you get for dessert at the Jersey shore. There are so many ice cream places but they have it down right. There are still a few classic Seaside Heights attractions left and this is one of them. Free parking, too! An evening round will set you back $10, but ace the 18th and you get a free round. Gone are the dangling bowling pins, loop-the-loop, windmill and pinball obstacles but there's still plenty of challenges and now water comes into play on multiple holes. Challenge your inner Lama and be a big hitter on those uphill shots. Not a lot of space between greens and tees so I can see it getting a bit pokey at times, but the man himself still towers over this classic venue, making it worth the trip. read more

I had my husbands 40th birthday party here and it was perfect! The staff couldn't have been more accommodating and friendly. We had a group of approximately 30 people and had ample space to privately eat and celebrate. The golf session was so fun and didn't drag out. Part of our package included the arcade as well which was a great option. They had everything done so all I had to do was decorate which I was given help with as well! Arcade games were mediocre at best. Don't use the claw machines. No one ever wins anything out of them there because they are set to the lowest claw strength so it is impossible to win a prize. What they lack in quality they make up for in generous yet lazy employees who address problems only if asked.Although, The employees gave us extra tickets when we complained about the machines not giving tickets. Some games are broken- beware. All of the good prizes were thousands of tickets. Theyre impossible to get in one visit.
