Had such a great experience with Jersey Shore Moving & Storage! The process was super easy from the start. We set up a Facetime call to walk through the items I needed moved and quickly scheduled a date. The crew showed up right on time and worked carefully and efficiently to pack everything. I even had a couple of last minute furniture additions, and they were so kind and flexible about adding them to the truck and making sure they got placed exactly where they needed to be. Horrible, they did not even come out for an estimate, they DID a video estimate and then raised the price by $800 dollars. During the move my wife had to put our dog down because she became sick that day and they had NO supervision. My wife became agitated at the incompetence of the crew and then Marty (lead) said " we shouldn't even have done the job for you" They damaged numerous pieces of plates and cups and my IKEA standing desk does not work at all. I am totally pissed off about the lack of leadership on the move. I worked for a moving company years ago and you have to have a COMPETENT OPS manager on site to ensure with the customer that all will be handled professionally ----they did not. My desk is still not operational and I am disgusted with the move and by the way it was move of 12 minutes total with an easy PU ...and easy delivery point. read more

I wanted to deal with a local company feeling like they have more to loose if they are not good because word of mouth is most important to them. Well, my wife and I are coming on 80 way to fast and had sold our house at the beach and were moving into another. I cannot praise these guys enough. First they were pleasant, easy going with everything but the actual move itself. There they are cautious, careful and made sure that everything was placed where we wanted to. Moved in Feb 2022 to a new home and used Jersey Shore Moving & Storage and glad I did. They were nice to work with, easily and quickly scheduled the move, answered all my questions, always returned phone calls and emails. Had used a different company in 2020 and can see that Jersey Shore Moving was a much better experience. They took so much care of all of our items, wrapping antiques and coordinating boxes. So so pleased with my experience with Jersey Shore Moving & Storage!!! From the moment Adam came to my house to give me an estimate I knew I would be using them for my move. He really knew his stuff and took his time to fully explain everything to me in detail. He made me feel really comfortable and even gave me some good moving tips! When it came to moving day the guys were right on time and were a pleasure to be around. They were professional but really funny and made a really stressful day super light and eased the nerves. No customer service what so ever ! Was a nightmare from the beginning to the end. Lost personal belongings and busted a television. Done packing up the house in about two hours charged for more than 8 Insurance we took out and paid for now claims we aren't going to be paid for our losses. Tried to contact the owner never received a phone call. The office staff has no idea what's going on. Never heard back from the insurance company either. Filing a claim with consumer affairs maybe they can find our belongings No accountability for anything. Just dropped our stuff at our new home never opened anything or took inventory of what was there. read more

We had the most amazing experience moving with this company. We moved from a 3 bedroom house in Hackensack to an 1800s farmhouse in Atlantic Highlands--the new house has extremely difficult to maneuver iron spiral staircases, and they got everything to its appropriate place without any issues! The estimate was accurate and reasonable, the crew members were so friendly and helpful, especially with our 2 year old underfoot! They wrapped and protected our furniture, reassembled multiple large pieces, and kept everything clean! Even after a hitch in our move dates with an unexpected closing date change, our belongings were kept in perfect condition in their own storage. I can not recommend them enough, it was worth whatever cost in the summer heat to have professionals getting it done! read more

I did not use this company because their estimate was outrageous. $1400 to move a 1 bedroom apartment three blocks. They charge time and a half on Sunday. Beware, there are other movers out there much more reasonable. read more

These guys were awesome...everything from scheduling, to estimating (and they stuck with it), to pick and delivery. I had an emergency situation and was concerned we might get taken advantage of. We called/scheduled only 48 hours prior to the move....but they were extremely transparent and fair. The team was friendly, helpful, and professional. They created a complete audit log of everything that was packed and were willing to go through in on delivery (after the 4th box, I gave up....it was all there). Quality company with honest, hard working, accommodating staff. They handled and packed our belongs like they were theirs. We are Angie's list members and went to secure information about moving. The lady Virginia in the office gave us the details, costs involved etc. We were told nothing could be confirmed until we had an exact moving date and an estimate was given. We called back within 3 days of our visit to the office to arrange a date to get an estimate. Our call back was to the same office person, Virginia whom we had spoken with in person. It was a completely different situation like Jekyll and Hyde. She was extremely rude, virtually yelling at me and giving me a terrible attitude. Someone who is working in an office should have better people skills and bedside manner. I am a retired School Administrator and have come in contact with people in all walks of life. This company provided my husband & I with the best moving experience we've ever had in spite of the fact that it poured torrential rain on the day we moved. First their estimator, Adam, came over to our 3 BR 1500 SQ FT house to look at everything we had to move, listen to our concerns, etc. The actual move took all day, but the 3 guys that showed up to move us from Pt. Pleasant to Brick wrapped everything meticulously and handled all of our belongings with kid gloves, taking special care to place each item in the room/area where it should be. Most impressive was their ability to move our Sleep Number bed & huge wine cooler without a hitch. They seemed to really appreciate the tip we gave them at the end of the day, but just wanted to write a review (which I don't normally bother to do) giving them 2 thumbs up. Oh and Adam the estimator pretty much nailed the price we were given initially, so at the end of the day so there were no surprises. Highly recommend these guys. read more

What a great experience. First of all, I got the contact info for Jersey Shore Movers from the Better Business Bureau. They had a perfect record there. I also got two other quotes, but I knew about how much my move would cost based on a lot of Internet research. These guys hit that number, which I felt was very reasonable, moving from NJ to a southern state about 12 hours away. I was concerned by all those stories you hear, about a mover saying one price and then charging you more once you get to your destination. We've all heard those stories . These guys are not like that!! From the first phone call, to the estimator of my items, to the men who showed up to load my stuff, these guys were extremely professional, friendly, and fast, but also careful! A complete inventory was done on every piece of furniture and every box loaded. They arrived at my new home on time. My four bedroom house took about 5 hours to load and unload. I now know why they are rated so high on the BBB site. Five stars!!! read more
