Terrible! I don't recommend this company at all. They're one of those really annoying companies that never answers their phone. I dropped my shoes off and was told to call back in a week to see if they were ready. Called for days and days and days and no one ever answers the phone. So I guess I have to drive all the way over there and see if they're even open. Ugh. How do clowns like this even stay in business? **UPDATE**. finally got my shoes and the snotty owner was sure to let me know that he usually doesn't do "such small repair jobs" like my shoes needed.... I work in this area, and it's my go-to place when my shoes and boots need TLC! I've had the tips of my high heels replaced here, my flats re-lined on the inside, and the soles of my boots redone and polished. I've also had extra notches added to one of my leather belts. At the advice from four people at two different Cavender's Boots, I dropped by Jesse's to have a pair of Ropers re-heeled. I also had a pair of custom made Lucchese Ropers which, for a few years, I've been very disappointed in their (Lucchese) ability to accurately get my size right. Finally I gave up on Lucchese and figured I'd just eat the Grand I spent on having them made. Long story short: Jesse told me he'd work on them and he guaranteed they'd fit me much better after spending a week in his shop. Picked up the boots today. Ropers repaired and shined up as new...the pair he needed to "work on/stretch" fit like a glove - just like Lucchese boots are supposed to fit. A small miracle in my book. Went here last year two get a pair of lizards and calf boots resoled with pro soles (small layer of rubber over leather sole) I wear both pairs regularly and they have held up amazing. Went to houston shoe hospital before and those soles lasted all of 2 months. I would highly recommend and will be taking a pair of elephants in this week to get resoled with pro soles. Over the last month, I have had a few things done here. I had a zipper put in a pair of snake boots (protective not made out of). A pair of my dress shoes get new soles and a briefcase a new handle. All of the work has been done in a short amount of time (1-2) weeks and nicely done. HIs prices are very reasonable and I have nothing but good things to say about Jesse. They charge $8.50 to change the tips on my heels that wear out frequently. Not only did they change the tips but also polished the shoes and glued the fabric back on the heel that had peeled off from waiting too long to replace the tip. The result was my shoes looking almost brand new! Recently went to another shoe repair shop closer to me which charged me over $10 each pair and did not even polish them =\ needless to say, I will be driving the extra miles to come to this shoe repair shop from now on! read more

I sent in two pairs of leather shoes to be widened. The first of the two was a pair of Cole Haan heels. I found that there was some sticky residue on the insoles of the shoe but it was nothing that a little Goo Off can't fix. The pair of shoes that I was upset over were my Salavatore Ferragamo heels. Though they did as I requested, the soles of my shoes came back worn and scratched as if someone had worn them all over pavement. Prior to sending them to Jesse's Shoe and Boot Repair, the soles were only slightly worn. I am very upset and I suspect that someone wore my shoes thinking that I won't notice the extremely scratched soles. Needless to say, I will not be returning there for any shoe needs, and I advise against going here. read more

I brought 2 of my FAVORITE summer heels in for heel taps. I take VERY good care of my shoes. When I came in to pick them up, they had damaged the heels to the point that I will have to throw them AWAY. I could not believe it!!! When I questioned the wife of the man that did the repairs, she basically called me a LIAR and said that they did not damage my shoes. I was in complete SHOCK!!! Finally, I left with shoes that are going in the GARBAGE and I will NEVER go back!!! read more

I've been to Jesse's twice & they have done a excellent job each time. First time I had them widen two pair of shoes. Second time I had tips replaced on a pair of heels, had the straps shortened on a pair of wedges and the toe enclosure fixed on a second pair of heels. It's like I have 3 pairs of new shoes. I took a pair of 32 yr old wellingtons in for their 3rd (or 4th, can't remember) re-sole. Their re-sole work was really good & the price was right. They're a little slow but I think it's because the place seems crazy busy. There was zero change in fit on a pair of boots that my feet have a lot of time in. I have used Jesse's boot repair in the past, this time is was for my favorite pair of cowboy boots! I've had them for almost 14 years and they fit and feel like a glove and I just wasn't ready to buy a new pair yet! They glued down my sides, gave me some new heels and put an extra piece on bottom for support/strength! Shined them up and they looked and felt great! The ladies that work there are very nice but the guy who worked on my boots was in my opinion very rude and unprofessional. I asked about some discoloration on the boots ( I asked if I just rubbed them with a cloth if the black marks would come out (brown boots). The guy said "that's how they are". I responded that I didn't bring them in like that to which he rolled his eyes at me and walked away. I called him out on how rude he was and he then took the time to explain the leather changes color when they are polished. Great! That's all I needed to know minus the attitude. I am not a boot expert. That is why I didn't try and resole them myself. As such I don't know much about leather either so when I ask about black streaks that weren't on the boots when I dropped them off I expect to get an explanation not a snippy "that how they are" and then an eye roll. Maybe he was just having a bad day but when I finally got him to calm down he never bothered to apologize. I don't give my money to businesses that in my opinion don't care about customer service. I LOVE THIS PLACE! There is nothing Jesse can't do! I brought him a pair of boots that were just crazy hard to get on & off. I asked him if he could put in a zipper and sure enough, now it isn't a 15 minute deal. He also re-did the inside of 4 other pairs and repaired the heels. He always polishes them and they look like new. Prices are very reasonable and he and his wife are just great folks to do business with. read more

We have used Jesse's several times with excellent results. My son has an ankle injury and needs his boots to have a zipper on the side. He has been pleased with the work that Jesse has done on several pairs. I had 4 pair of Clark's sandals that I had worn the suede sole off of. I thought well it is worth a try. The original price of each pair was $65. - $90. And I loved them. All was fine but with the soles slick my foot would slide. Jesse resoled these for I believe $12/pr and they look like new. Very happy with Jesse's work! We have to drive 45 minutes to get to his shop but it is well worth it! read more
