I brought a pair of Iron Ranger boots in for a sole repair in the middle of June 2026. I was told that it would take about four weeks for the repair to be completed and that I would be contacted when they arrived back at this location. No problem. One month passes, no contact from this store. Two months pass, no contact from this store. Finally, today I decided to give them a call to check the status. The person who answered the phone said that they were ready and that they had contacted me by phone two months ago and left a voicemail. Not so. If that were the case, the repair took two weeks? Doubtful. But then why did they only call one time and leave one voicemail? That is, if they really did contact me which I do not recall. Be that as it may, when I went into the store to pick my boots up, they were very short with me. I asked about a replacement orthotic for my Iron Rangers and they seemed bothered to look up any information to assist me. I finally decided that I would let Google be my friend to find a new orthotic for my Iron Rangers. Overall, I am not pleased with my recent experience at this store and will find another Red Wing location to do business with in the future. I would recommend the store owner or manager find employees who actually want to assist the customer without an attitude and defer me to Google to find what I need for my shoes. There are many choices in footwear.

This was my first time using their services, but it was close to work so I decided to give them a…read moreshot. I just needed a pair of felt boots cleaned up before a big party Saturday. Tuesday afternoon when I dropped them off, he gave me an appointment card to pick them up Thursday at 5PM. Fast forward to Thursday at 5PM, I show up and he's not there. When I call him, he then explains that they weren't dry therefore I couldn't pick them up (no heads up or anything). He then says he will text me Friday morning and let me know what time to pick them up Friday once they're ready. Friday morning, I hear nothing. Finally, I get ahold of him and he tells me 2PM. I show up at 2PM, he isn't here and neither are the boots. The lady at the store calls him and asks when he will be there, he then says 3 o'clock. I told him that wasn't going to work and he said okay, he would leave right then and head that way. He shows up at 2:45, with the boots still wet, wasting my time once again. I understand things come up and deadlines don't get met, but communication with a customer is at the very minimum a requirement. I will not use this service again or recommend them to anyone else.
