I feel like every time I get examined after a cleaning, there is always something he recommends that I need work on or will eventually need, although I have no concerns or pain with any of my teeth. When he suggests all these unnecessary treatments, it gives me anxiety and makes me question whether I should get the work done or not. I always receive a printout of the recommended services and how much they will cost. I understand that it is ultimately up to me whether I want to proceed with any treatment, but the constant reminders of the RECOMMENDED work makes me feel pressured, and I don't like that feeling. It also makes me question whether it's all about making money. Going to the dentist already gives me a lot of anxiety, and I'm sure that's the case for many people. At the end of the day, I don't want a doctor who makes me feel like there is always something wrong with my teeth. Throughout my years, I have seen a lot of doctors and none has ever made me feel pressure like Dr. Sato. Maybe it's his personality or how he approaches his patients. My goal in finding a good dentist has always been about finding a great dental hygienist, but this time around I feel like I need to move on and find another doctor who makes me feel more comfortable and at ease. Lately, whenever I get some sort of work done--like a crown, a root canal, or even a simple cleaning--my nerve seems to get triggered and causes pain elsewhere. Rule of thumb: if there is nothing wrong with your tooth and no pain, leave it alone.

I'm a big baby and for some reason, dental was my least favorite place to go. ;) I have found Dr. Leo Townsend, DDS to be very professional and gentle! All of his staff are knowledgeable and friendly as well. The entire staff works as a team and are like family. I have my teeth cleaning and exams done regularly. From time to time, I am embarrassed to say they find those pesky little cavities!! My insurance covers most of it and I am out of pocket for a few dollars. Now, when they find something forming with their high tech gadgets, I do not wait. When you wait, and after time it becomes an emergency, that's when more work is needed. This office offers much more services than I've used. There's implant restorations, Invisalign invisible braces, pediatric dentistry, and more. The office is very serene and sterile. Dr. Locascio Family Dentistry is amazing. This dentist checks all the boxes. * First, I've only gone 3 times so far but each time they got me in right away at my appointment time. Once in the chair, there was no long wait for the dentist as I've experienced with other dentists. * Second, Dr. Locascio was patient and explained everything in detail. I didn't feel like he was rushing to see another patient. * Third, it appears that the practice reinvests in the business to make sure customers are getting the best experience. Last year I went to a dentist that advertised as being very modern, but Dr. Locascio had better technology! For example, Dr. Locascio's team was able to make my crown in-house so I didn't need to have 2 appointments for a crown! Also, they had TV's in the ceiling and I was able to watch a movie during my root canal which made an uncomfortable event more pleasant. * I've unfortunately had to get 3 crowns put on over time with 4 different dentist (one fell off and needed to be put on again) and the one Dr. Locascio put on is by far the best. My bite feels great and the color is perfect. But what stood out to me was this was the first time any dentist said "if something doesn't feel right later, let me know and we can adjust the crown." What!!!! I didn't even know that was possible! I've been walking around with a horrible bite from the last "modern" dentist for a year now. I wish I knew they could have fixed it. * Next, Dr. Locascio didn't try to upsell me or recommend any unneeded treatment as dentist usually do. * Finally, I had my procedure done on a Friday. Dr. Locascio called over the weekend to make sure everything felt ok. This is going above and beyond in my opinion.

Dr. Burke and his main hygienist (I think her name is Jennifer) are extremely thorough. They take almost an hour to clean your teeth, so you know they're getting everything. (And I am someone who goes regularly to the dentist each 6 months, and have no cavities, so there's that.) The staff is also very friendly and kind. Finally, they never tried to lie about the condition of my teeth or my husband's teeth to make money. They are honest. Thanks for everything!
