I was looking for a great dental office that does Invisalign and Laguna Star Dental checked all the boxes for me. I didn't have terrible teeth, but after pregnancy, my teeth shifted a bit and my bottom teeth became sawtooth-like. Prior to going to Dr. Vo, I received another Invisalign consult and the dentist told me to remove a tooth and get braces instead. However after my consult with Dr. Vo she did not advise that and instead, advised me to keep my tooth as it could be easily fixed with Invisalign. After 9 months of wearing Invisalign, my teeth became super straight and I am now more confident in smiling. Because I had such a great experience, I decided to change dental offices and get all of my teeth work done here. We love Dr. Vo and her staff! I brought my daughter here and she absolutely loved it! She has been seeing a dentist since she was 2 and she always hated the dentist! At our old dental office, she never received a proper cleaning or X-rays because she was always crying. She is now 5 and I figured we would try a new dental office and we came across Laguna Star Dental. From the second we walked in, my daughter enjoyed being in the office. There were a few toys for her to play with and the check in process was quick. Dr. Vo sat us down and checked my daughter's teeth and always allowed her to be apart of the process. She was patient with her and explained all the steps so my daughter wouldn't be scared. Dr. Vo was able to do a thorough cleaning and the RDA was able to get x rays of my daughter's teeth. They were both so nice, patient, and informative. At the end of the visit my daughter was all smiles!! No tears, no throwing up, nothing! It's official! I am transitioning over to Laguna Star Dental with Dr. Vo and her excellent team! I initially was referred for cleaning and although I love my previous dental hygienist, I needed to find a new dentist. Upon entering, I was already impressed because the waiting area was filled with comfortable chairs and nice aesthetics. They had me fill in my patient history on their handy dandy iPad and I was called in for Holly to do my cleaning promptly. Holly did a great job with my cleaning and was a pleasure to talk to. No pain or discomfort and she did a thorough job at the same time! Yesterday, I went in for two fillings and Dr. Vo was so personable! I love how she and her staff always made sure I was comfortable and explained what they were doing. I do NOT recommend this dentist by any means. This review is from my appointment a year ago: 1st experience: as a new patient, I went in for my first exam and teeth cleaning. Was told after my exam that teeth cleaning is a separate appointment for new clients. Hmm. 2nd experience: subsequent appointment made for two fillings and cleaning. After the fillings as I waited in the front for the hygenist for my cleaning, I observed several incredibly unprofessional and honestly concerning interactions. First, a new patient came in and walked up to the counter. The receptionist behind the desk continued their conversation about something very personal and made the patient stand and wait for several minutes before even acknowledging him. Several minutes later, the doctor and just performed my feelings entered the receptionist area and ask them for some Tylenol because he was incredibly hung over. I cannot make this up, unfortunately. The next day after my appointment, I attempted to call the dental office to Discuss my concerns and that I was not going to return to the office with the owner/dentist. I never heard back after leaving a message with the receptionist. I definitely do not recommend coming to this dentist office. Today: at a new dentist appointment, I was told that a filling needs to be redone because it was not complete. Well, that is the same filling I got done last year. read more

Recommended to me by a coworker. Not impressed. I met the actual dentist on my first visit. After that, for every visit, I would get a random person in a white coat coming up to work on my mouth without introducing themselves. Only from reading other yelp reviews was I able to assume that the actual dentist, Dr. Panu, was probably at one of his other practices. Other than the hygienist, none of the staff are very friendly. The receptionists are obnoxious and not exactly friendly with their reminder calls threatening fees if you're a no show. I was forced, by my employer, into the crappiest dental plan (Delta Dental USA), so coverage was limited; however, never did anyone go over with estimates with me - upon leaving, I was always thrown a curve ball with, "alright, your balance is $25..." the next time, "your balance is $138.23," or some random amount, due to the work being done. After my last appointment, I decided I would cancel my upcoming follow up because I knew I could upgrade my dental plan by then. Since then - and before then - I've always had dentists who are consistent, whose staff are friendly, and who discuss everything with you, including billing. My current dentist receptionist even quoted me $98 for some work and when my insurance was run, it was actually only $48, so I'd rather have that as a surprise, right? Case in point, if your insurance will allow, I would recommend going elsewhere. If you're paying cash, maybe they're less expensive than others - they certainly aren't as high quality so that wouldn't surprise me all that much. read more

It's 2 hours away from my home but I loved it so much I keep going back , and will continue to. Everyone is friendly, and the atmosphere is incredibly welcoming. Kim at the front desk, the Doctor and his really kind hygienists make it a pleasant experience. I have extreme dental anxiety hence I had forgone my dental care for far too long- however I've had an emergency visit here, a cleaning and two crowns and I feel happy and relaxed each time I go. Before getting a cleaning or whatever, they offer payment options of cheapest to the most expensive and explanations. For someone like me who can't understand the dental terminology, there was this one lady who was able to explain everything in simple terms so I could understand. I found this place on the internet and thought I'd give them a try hoping to find a dentist I was content with and would be able to call "my dentist". Needless to say, Laguna Star Dental has won me over. The receptionists are really accommodating, the dental staff are knowledgeable and the dentist who worked on me - Dr. Pannu, is one of the nicest dentists I've ever come across. He's also very genuine and not money hungry which is rare to find in physicians these days who mostly seek $$$. I inquired about getting some cosmetic work done on my teeth and he insisted that I did not need it. He literally said "why fix something that isn't broken?". I've been considering getting veneers or surgery to correct some issues with my smile and he said "there's no need to pay thousands of dollars on something you don't need". He continued to say "I'll do whatever you want but personally, I don't think you need to waste your money". I sincerely appreciated the honesty from his perspective and decided not to look further into cosmetic work for now. He's as good as they come and I really enjoyed my experience at this office. If I could give this place negative 5 stars I would! PLEASE DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE!!!! Read my review and the other reviews with low ratings and do yourself a favor and stay away from this place! They quoted me for more work than I needed and the work is terrible! I had to return THREE times for one filling bc it kept falling out after they put it in. The first time I went to get it shaved down bc the filling was too high before the appointment I called to make sure that a dentist would do this and they said yes. I get there and lo and behold a dental assistant tells me that they will be shaving it down. I should have trusted my gut and just rescheduled with a dentist but I brushed it off since she just had to shave it down. WRONG! She took TOO MUCH OFF! I asked her about this and she told me that was how my tooth was shaped. BITCH WHAT? In all my 32 years of life I don't remember my tooth feeling that way when I run my tongue over it. I left there feeling some type of way bc I knew she couldn't fix it. I called back and scheduled another appointment bc guess what, the filling was still too high AND the missing part of my tooth pissed me off. I see an actual dentist and he shaves it down which was cool and fills in the missing part of my tooth. I get home and don't anything for about an hour or a half. The moment I ate something THE FILLING FELL OUT! Livid, I call the office and of course they're closed so I leave them a message. The dentist that had just fixed my tooth calls me back and tells me to come in the next day. He tells me he needs to shave off more of my tooth so that he can fill it. I'm not a dentist so I trust him. He fills it in and everything's fine for 4 months and guess what? It falls out again. I just said fuck it I'll just accept it as a chip in my molar. It's been 7 months since they charged me 600 something for fucked up dental work and unreliable fillings and a filling fell out while I was eating ice cream! My molar is completely messed up! And of course it's a Friday after business hours and I can't call them! DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE! read more

The staff is great, Dr. Pannu is so nice and professional & Kim is so nice and helpful! The office itself is in a great location and it is so modern and up to date. When you fill out your new patient information (if you decide to do it upon arrival instead of on-line beforehand which is also convenient) you are presented with an iPad! While you are getting your dental work done they even put on netflix for you! Dr. Pannu is very quick and efficient. He makes going to the dentist a little easier and painless. And he is able to take care of all my dental needs right there in the office. He was able to get me in and out on my lunch break which is a huge plus! Not liking this place. Changed dentist for my two children because of the reviews I've read. I guess we got use to the treatment we received at their old dentist.. we expected better here. First they told me that they couldn't do the work here for my daughter and referred her out to a Pedodontist which their old dentist would've done. And second I couldn't be in the room with my autistic child while they extract his tooth, which on the other hand their old dentist would've let me stayed in the room with him. I was here last week and I would not give them a very high rating. The only positive is the front desk staff was nice otherwise I am never coming back. I left here confused, scared, and with incorrect information! I am naturally nervous at the dentist and went because I finally have dental insurance through work. I had a tooth ache which required x-rays however x-rays are no good if the dentist reads them improperly! They diagnosed me as needing a root canal with out explaining what that entailed, gave me a prescription and a referral to an endodontist. When I got to the pharmacy it turns out the dentist had written the wrong date on the prescription sheet and the pharmacists could not read his handwriting. I had no idea why I was prescribed antibiotics. Did I have an infection, or were they trying to prevent one from developing? Would have been nice to have been told. The place they referred me to has yet to call me back 6 days later, never mind their bad yelp reviews. After I found a specialists on my own he took new x-rays and the tooth they had said needed a root canal was FINE! I also did not need antibiotics it turns out. A completely different tooth on the top NOT the bottom needed a root canal it turned out. I shudder to think what would have happened had I gone to the "specialists" they referred me to. I would have had a root canal on the wrong tooth and still been in pain! NEVER going back here again. read more
