This review is for attorney 'ALEX JESTER.' This man is a THIEF. I had a brief phone consulting call with him regarding some issues I was having with my landlord. He gave some tips just as any attorney does during the introductory period. The issue I had was he then pressed me to come for a $150 in person consulting session which I didn't mind because he told me I had a strong case. He told me he would give me advice and direction on how to win my case and re-coup my rent and loss etc from my landlord. He then missed our appointment due to an emergency. He then asked me to send him all paperwork and said lets have a phone call and he would call me later that afternoon. I receive no call. He then asks me after business hours if I can talk the next morning which was a Saturday. I said yes...he gave no response. Now already 2 weeks have gone by. Then the following I week I ask him what's going on and when we would be speaking by phone? He then said just come in person there's no need for a phone call. He gave the idea I was going to receive advice on how to pursue my case in civil court and I had a case to recoup my loss. When we meet in person...he flips the script and said after reading my paperwork he can't help me and there's nothing much I can do. I have no case. You couldn't tell me this on a initial phone call like we were supposed to have beforehand? You make me take time off work and to drive there to tell me my case is useless? So why did you ask me to come in person and what exactly am I paying for? What consulting did you do? What about all the misleading information you told me over the phone and that I have a good case? He didn't even know some of the points I mentioned and didn't even read through ALL the paperwork I sent him. I guess he needed that consulting fee badly. Why do I have to pay a dollar? You gave me no consulting and no advice whatsoever, if anything you should pay for me taking work off to meet you for NOTHING. Ethically you should have told me over a brief phone call I have no case. I wish I could give zero stars. Working with Alexander Jester, he was helpful (even if slow) at first, helped to file my paperwork - then - silence. Despite over a dozen attempts at contacting him over phone and email, I have not heard from him since September. It is now the end of March. My (hopefully soon to be...) ex has filed paperwork, that I can't see - because it has to go through the attorney - who is completely ignoring me. My divorce has been delayed by at least six months because of the negligence of this attorney. Avoid this attorney at all costs and save yourself a lot of emotional turmoil and undue stress. I don't typically write reviews, but am more than happy to write this one! I'm pleased to recommend Raj to anyone seeking sound legal advice. This being my first experience of this nature, I wasn't sure what to expect. When, due to the high cost of living, my daughter made the decision to move out of state with her son and fiancé, she discovered she needed to obtain permission from the courts to do so. Her son's father refused to give permission and insisted she stay in Orange County even knowing it would result in a huge financial hardship. He had never paid child support or helped raise their son in any way so imagine her frustration to discover he now held the power to keep them from making a better life for themselves. My wife & I retained Alex Jester as a family law attorney to assist us with getting our existing Restraining Order extended. This is something you have to do each year before it expires. Alex didn't file the right paperwork with the court that signifies that he is now representing us and our petition was rejected.
