I walked down the street for food while they worked. Came back less than an hour or so and was greeted again by Mohamed said "we'll meet you out front with your car." The work is immaculate, the worker(s) were clean, efficient and very helpful to any questions and answers I wanted. It is pricey, but to be frank, you get what you pay for. Do yourself a favor, stay away from this "bait & switch" business. Website offers 1 packages, Silver & Gold. Chose Gold (highest option available assuming thats the best quality) and before making a payment, thought it be better to pay after the Tinting service is done, so called their 888 number, booked an appt. Same same packages were offered, but this time, $200 extra charge because "my car" is not in their system (how convenient). Said, no thanks and hung up. 10 mins later the same person calls me back and says, we found your car (it was a computer glitch) and now there is no extra charge, just the $399 for the top of the line package. Reconfirmed that it was best heat rejection, ceramic tint, includes front windshield. Answer was Yes for all. I show up at my appt time expecting to give the car keys and leave (all info was already entered on the phone) but I was escorted into an office and told that the package I have is the cheapest quality and I should upgrade to the next 2 levels (Diamond & Platinum), neither were offered on the website or on the phone. I was ready to get up and leave, when the "owner/manager" was brought in. He listened to the story again and said "OK, I will take care of it and honor the price". Didn't stop there, when I asked to update the website to make it more transparent pricing, he said "Website is under construction", then goes on to blame the callcenter agent saying he will investigate, then blames sales guys that they didn't do their job. While all this is going on, another customer waiting in the lobby over hears our conversation, opens the door and is mad that he is honoring the price for me when he was scammed the same way (quoted $280 one the phone and charged $600, after negotiation, in the store). The owner leaves me in the room and talks to the other customer and honors him his original quoted price. While that conversation is happening, another customer walks in.....same story. You get my drift. The 3rd customer also had a quality issue with a huge stain on the ceiling of her car and was demanding that it be fixed right away. Needless to say, there were enough signs to run and save me more hassle. I would recommend the same to all of you. Save your time, money, car and peace of mind. Just go to the next honest Tinting business down the road. Arrived at the shop and was given different choices and tint percentages 5-70 percent to choose from. They have cheap tint all the way up to premium tent. Both my cars have the premium tint which blocks both uv rays and heat rejection. Would recommend. Service about 2 hours for sides/and rear. Get a call when ready. I waited around 3 hours for the service and am very happy with the results. I ended up paying $300 and also had a groupon from them so in total around $375. No issues with the tint at all and the look is what I was going for. Thrilled about the lifetime warranty. One thing to note is, you can't roll your windows down for around 3 days after getting the tint so that it can set, so plan accordingly. Would recommend!! read more

Very disappointing experience with Jet Black Tint in Walnut Creek. I first came in on Thursday and worked with a gentleman named Noor. We spent a considerable amount of time discussing the tint brand, percentage, shades, and price. He told me the specific tint I selected would be brought over from their Fremont warehouse. After I waited about 10 minutes, he said it might take too long and asked me to return Monday at 8:00 a.m. He assured me the tint would be there and that they would work on my car first thing. I paid a $100 deposit, shook his hand, and trusted that everything was arranged. I live far away, but I rushed through heavy traffic Monday morning to arrive at 8:00 a.m. When I got there, a different employee told me he knew nothing about the appointment or what Noor and I had discussed. Worse, the tint was not there. He called Noor, who then told me he was "just a salesman" and did not know what happened. That is not an acceptable response after taking my deposit and personally confirming the appointment. I wasted my time driving here twice, and nobody had the basic courtesy to call or text me over the weekend to say the tint was unavailable. This showed a serious lack of communication, organization, and respect for a customer's time. I've brought three cars to them. Never again. Do not recommend. You have been warned. CAR 1: Cadillac, low miles, clean and super dark-tinted windows. They removed the tint and installed lighter tint in a ceramic stile. I chose this shop for the price, which was half of the next closest in price. The work was done relatively sloppily, lots of visible water under the side windows, the clear windshield tint left the view out the window a little wavy and distorted, not dangerously so but annoyingly so and I was disappointed with the lack of film clarity. When another of the windows started peeling from the edge, I had to take it back in for warranty replacement. Warranty was honored but it's your responsibility to prove you were a client, as they will forget about you the second your tires hit the road AND they keep no records on hand. CAR 2: Another Cadillac, used, had old window tint on it. They couldn't remove the old tint fully, and little balls of dried adhesive or some other material stayed stuck on there and it showed through in the new tint. Brought it in and they retinted the offending windows TWICE and I stopped bothering with it and them cause it was clear they were NOT going to get it right. CAR 3: Ram Truck and I was marketed to with a 5 window special for $99 the week before Christmas. Made an appointment, brought it in, and asked them to do the front two doors, windshield, and the two glass sunroof panels. They refused saying the windows have to start from the rear and be counted going around the sides. I had already printed the full terms and conditions of the offer, said nothing about it. They asked me for an additional $400. Either this was a complete bait and switch OR they were just incompetent in their marketing. Called HQ and they were evasive, only told me they would "try" to get me in contact with the owner, avoided responsibility, and was evasive wouldn't provide their HQ mailing address or the name of the owner of the company (for small claims proof of service). I've seen another poster be denied a special that he purchased because they have added Combined with the above, any past warranty work was only done after I showed them my past receipts and they keep NO records of what was done. Got my windows tinted for the 2012 Altima. Ahmad was professional and informative. Was estimated 2-3 hours, walked over once it hit 3 hours and I had a missed call from him right when I got in the door! $99 offer online is only for 5 windows (the small triangle windows count as windows) which are an extra cost per window. Ended up going with the $349 package because my requested tint percentage wasn't available in the $99 offer. I wanted 20% in the front, 5% in the back. The $99 offer I chose online was applied to the cost of the $349 package which was good. Was referred here by my cousin, happy with the service overall. Would be nice to know ahead of time that the tint preference I wanted wasn't available for the $99 offer but I'm not trippin too much. I was quoted $330 at another business for the same ceramic tints but Jet Black had a more available schedule so I went with them! Curing time is only 3 days too which I was surprised with since my last tints I got done at a different business was 7 days. read more

Originally they booked me in the San Ramon location after I purchased a 99$ full car package The shop in San Ramon was vacant. I called and they asked me to go to walnut creek. Went there on new years eve , so I had to set an appt for Jan 2nd. They did my request, some air bubbles on each window and it's wavy on a couple windows. The kicker was they upsell you from the 99$ package so I had to pay another 200$ to get quality tint. The package is to get you in the door so watch out for the upsell. 4.5 stars. Adrian and Alex were really helpful and friendly customer reps. Good guys We've had two cars tinted by their Walnut Creek team and both jobs were done in good time and quality. First car initially had some minor air bubbles / scratch after the install, but when I pointed it out Alex had the tech immediately replace the tint, which turned out great. So tip, do a walk around with them when picking up your car. (Water bubbles are normal and those go away) Ahmad installed on my second car and did a good job as well. If I really looked hard I can find a couple tiny things trapped in the film but it's not noticeable in daily life, and if it really bothered me I'm confident I could get it replaced under warranty. No big deal I also brought back my first car after the side window had been broken into and Adrian helped out big to get the tint redone on the replacement glass. Jet black also does car glass replacements, but I didn't use them By the way, pay the extra few bucks for the ceramic tint. The basic stuff isn't going to block UV rays and will heat up your car as if nothing was even there. So do it right with ceramic and be comfortable. read more

At approximately 9:30, the tech tinted a couple of windows, the just disappeared for an hour and a half, the person in the office had no idea where he went or where he will return. Horrible service. I came here to get a Tint exemption. I paid $249 dollars for a five year exempt. This was Aug 11, 2025. It is currently Oct 12, 2025. I had a consultation with a doctor who stated that I would have the exemption at the very latest 3 weeks. I've contacted this locations more than 6 times in this matter including going in person. No employee has helped me. I had a person tell me each time that I would be contacted by a manager the same day or next day. I never get a call. They keep asking me to send a picture of my license via text all times I've reached out and will not tell me why? When purchasing they took a photo while in person. It is very strange and frankly suspicious . Employees are rude when I refuse on the phone. I have proof of original receipt and it seems to do nothing. This company does not value their customers. I informed them on multiple occasions that I already received a ticket and need to prove my exemption. Still, nobody responds. This is outrageous. I come to this location to do all my cars as well as my whole family. I have never been treated this way in all the years. I do not recommend this company. read more

I do not recommend this place. Extremely used car sales vibes. First, they take everyone into a room and close the door, assuming that the others waiting can't hear their pitch. When I brought up having a Groupon, he lied and said they did not accept it there. When I questioned it further, he said he could accept the Groupon but would need to charge the difference... which didn't make sense at all. His demeanor completely changed when I was still deciding on the deal that Groupon was offering versus his upsell options. However, the joke was on me, because at the very end.. he said that I could pick up the car the next day... and that there was no way my car would be ready for same day pick up. This location makes the Jet Black name lose its credibility. On top of that, to deny accepting the Groupon is a complaint that I'll be making to Groupon directly. Do not come here unless you want to get treated poorly depending on how much money you're willing to spend with them. read more

UPDATE: They offered me a refund in exchange for removing my original review. They insisted that I take down my review first "in good faith" before they could process the refund. It's been a few days since I took down my review based on "good faith", no refund, no calls. They claimed to have called me, but I didn't see any missed calls from them on my call log. Very dishonest business, which only reinforced my original review ORIGINAL REVIEW: I don't recommend this place. I had to return twice because they did a poor job, with bubbles forming after a couple of weeks. The staff said it was "normal" and offered to fix them if I didn't like it, which is absurd. They didn't cut the film evenly either. Also, they don't honor appointment times, explaining that the appointment is just for drop-off, which is ludicrous. Finally, NEVER trust the price quotes on their website or over the phone. They lure you in with low prices and then charge much more. They are pretty infamous for the bait tactics. My girlfriend ended up paying three times the quoted price, and I wish I had been there with her. Overall, it was a poor experience, poor workmanship, and just a waste of my time.
