Since we knew him, he wouldn't even take payment the first time we needed him under emergency circumstances and very short notice. We continue to use his services because he is flexible, rates are extremely reasonable and he is a small local business we want to support in our community. Our beast dog doesn't warm up to just anyone, but he knew Kevin was a dog person, has looked forward to his walks with Kevin and comes back happy each and every time. It turns out that Kevin has also walked another dog on our block and those owners loved using him too. I know this from speaking to them directly. I have known Kevin for more than seventeen years, worked with him for ten and have followed his business development since the beginning. I knew he would make a fantastic pet professional from seeing him care for his own dog back when we worked together in a previous situation. He is dependable, trustworthy and absolutely terrific with animals of all stripes. I cannot recommend Kevin highly enough. If you want what is best for your pet, use High5 Pet Service.

Wow - where do I start ! Our dog Maxine has been going here for 2 years now. What stands out for us…read moreabout Fuzzy Buddy's is that everyone on the staff seems to genuinely LOVE dogs. Dana (owner) is an excellent dog trainer/behaviorist so all her staff is very knowledgeable. They strongly believe in positive re-enforcement based methods so you can be assured that your dog is treated with love and respect here. I have never seen anyone even raise their voice at a dog here or even look like they were having a rough day. What also stands out about FB's is the care and attention that the staff takes. The large play area is always clean, has lots of toys, and dog play is always monitored by at least two people. The staff is very proactive about keeping the dogs engaged and active as well as understanding when dogs need a break. At the end of each day, we get a report on what our dog did and who she played with (never get tired of hearing chronicles of Maxine). Our dog has had pretty bad stomach issues so sometimes they need to give her meds and food at odd times - they have never missed a beat. They actually have had very useful recommendations on what could help with her health issues. As for the pricing - it is competitively priced and worth every penny. On a side note, Dana has excellent classes on doggy manners and dog signals. Also, some of the staff does dog sitting on the side. I highly recommend Brooke and Hannah for this.

The facility smells…read moreas though it hasn't had a proper or thorough cleaning in a while, and I get that it's a dog daycare and it is bound to smell like pee and poop. I do notice employees cleaning after dogs do their business so I don't feel like it's a lack of effort on their part. However, I feel as though it might be a matter of the flooring used? I'm not sure. Other than that I have no complaints. Although, it would be nice to have cameras installed throughout the facility so we could see the dogs playing virtually!

In both cases DDO passed with flying colors! Our initial resident husky, Cassie, became a better dog (seriously!) as a result of her time socializing and learning the rules at DDO. And all of our subsequent dogs (yup, huskies) trained to be good canine citizens with either Danette or Erika. The positive impact that these two and DDO have made on their local neighborhood is significant! In fact, so considerate of their neighbors that our first husky was not accepted for fear she'd jump the fence and escape/disturb nearby neighbors. Eventually, Cassie was accepted but watched very closely. Ironically, in my volunteer work at the Seattle Animal Shelter I have found that both Danette and Erika have made significant contributions both in person and in helping to write the training materials that guide new dog walking volunteers at SAS. And they hire like-minded, conscientious people at DDO who also give their time to Shelter dogs. Truly, these are the best people! And I say that as an approaching 70 years semi-curmudgeon-ish woman who likes dogs way better than people most of the time. Check our DDO in Ballard or Burien. I'll likely be there too, as I'm down to only one senior-ish husky.

For example, our puppy used to pull badly on walks, and would also hit his limit quite early on (like, two blocks) and want to return home. He was so keyed up he couldn't even take treats on walks. I couldn't understand how to make progress. Joyce helped us interpret his behavior, and worked through our endless series of walking aids (various harnesses, head halter, prong collar, various lengths and styles of leash..!) until we found an effective combo. After a few weeks of consistent work, we took our first successful walk all the way to the dog park! I am so excited for our dog's continued progress being a good dog out and about in the world. Thank you for helping us, especially when we were really discouraged.

During our first session, Joyce taught me the basics about dog's behaviors, my role in the relationship, and the power of positive reinforcement with training. She provides a write up after the first session that I've referred to many times in the last few months. I signed up for additional sessions and it is safe to say that Harper and I are better dogs/humans from our time with Joyce. In ~8 weeks, Joyce trained me how to train my puppy and provide the structure she needs, and taught Harper how to harness her intelligence and curiosity for good. We've both come so far, thank you Joyce! I would highly recommend Joyce to anyone.
