Everything is great about this doggy day care with the exception of the smell. The facility smells as though it hasn't had a proper or thorough cleaning in a while, and I get that it's a dog daycare and it is bound to smell like pee and poop. I do notice employees cleaning after dogs do their business so I don't feel like it's a lack of effort on their part. However, I feel as though it might be a matter of the flooring used? I'm not sure. Other than that I have no complaints. Although, it would be nice to have cameras installed throughout the facility so we could see the dogs playing virtually! read more

I love Fuzzy Buddy's Dog Daycare, and here's why: DANA! She's funny, authentic, compassionate, and responsible, everything you want from a person in charge of a dog daycare. Many adverse things can be said about a place when something unfortunate occurs, especially if the place and people show no accountability around the incident, but Dana did the opposite. My coworker and I drop off our dogs at Fuzzy's, and her pup Dune is a lumbering hulk of an Aussie; he's an oaf that comes from a traumatized background, so when we heard his ear got bit by another dog, and he was bleeding and admitted to the vet, we dashed over from work to check on his wellbeing. He needed stitches and rest to recuperate. We went over to Fuzzy's to find out what happened, and my gosh, Dana was so transparent and responsible, showed us the footage from different angles, took care of the vet bill completely, and even gave Dune a head sock. It turns out that the dog that perpetrated the attack was resource-guarding his food, and Dune unthinkingly went into his "space", which set him off. Dana and the staff were incredibly kind. They walked us through all the protocols they followed and explained how they intend to prevent future incidents. My coworker felt reassured, and I felt like my two boys were in great hands. My dogs are always happy to get in, and Dune, my mate's dog, despite having been hurt there by another pup, is manic about going in. Dana is super helpful and supportive. She also recently noticed that the dogs we leave in her care spell DOG together - Dune, Onyx, and Granite. That's how endearing she is. Definitely go here. They also have the best toys on display. read more

I'm grateful to have a place close to work that I can trust with my guy. We've done two manners classes here, a tricks class, and a couple of private classes with Brooklyn. My 7 month chocolate lab, Moose, recently started hitting up the doggie daycare known as Fuzzy Buddys - just off 99 at around 113th or so. I'll start off by saying that the staff here have been really pleasant, knowledgeable, and although we just starting going there, we feel like old friends. They give me daily updates as to who Moose has played with and whether he has behaved or not. All dogs must be vaccinated and neutered and there is an application form. I find this reassuring and responsible. It definitely makes me more comfortable leaving my little dude there. Also, if your dog isn't a good fit after the free trial day, they'll let you know. Best of all, a half day (up to 4.5 hours) only costs $16!!! That is very affordable for someone like me who is trying to buy a house and not exactly rollin' with extra dough. One of the nicest things about Fuzzy Buddys is that it is obviously run by people who know what they are doing. They don't just toss your dog into the tank. They take the time to introduce him to the pack so every dog is comfortable with the next guy. They will feed, water and/or medicate your dog per your instructions. That is really cool in my opinion. The only thing that has kept me from giving them five stars is that they are not open on weekends!! I work every other weekend, so this leaves me looking for a place for Moose on those days... However, we are thrilled to have found them for the weekdays. Now, if I could only find a place open just a little bit later too... As is, I have to pick Moose up on my lunch break and buzz him home really quick. Finally, I did notice that there was a bit of a urine smell on my first visit. I doubt this is something that is avoidable, and is probably something found at all doggie daycares, but I did notice when I first walked in. All in all, I would recommend Fuzzy Buddys for your fuzzy buddy... It's a pretty cool gig. read more

Fuzzy Buddy's took our dog in for FREE during the silent protest on June 12. Solidarity in action!!! We took our small, 10-year-old pup in for the first time last week. We were a little nervous because he had never been to daycare before. The folks working assured us that they would introduce him to the other dogs gradually and would stay in contact if they ever felt like he wasn't having a positive experience. They gave us a full report on his day and he had an AMAZING time. He got into a little mischief, and they were up-front about that as well. Highly, highly recommend this place. If your dog can stay home by themselves, there is no need to go to this business. They only want to take care of animals that are very "easy" and have no issues. My puppy (6 months) was severly tramatized after he stayed there for a few day care appointments. We can't even drive by now without him becoming aggitated. We even saw the trainer at a dog park, later, and she very unprofessionally said to the folks she was working with "OH, I know THAT dog..." It was one of the most unprofessional interactions I have ever had with someone in the pet care industry, specifically in Seattle where people tend to be really great with their attitudes and understanding around animals. read more

Wow - where do I start ! Our dog Maxine has been going here for 2 years now. What stands out for us about Fuzzy Buddy's is that everyone on the staff seems to genuinely LOVE dogs. Dana (owner) is an excellent dog trainer/behaviorist so all her staff is very knowledgeable. They strongly believe in positive re-enforcement based methods so you can be assured that your dog is treated with love and respect here. I have never seen anyone even raise their voice at a dog here or even look like they were having a rough day. What also stands out about FB's is the care and attention that the staff takes. The large play area is always clean, has lots of toys, and dog play is always monitored by at least two people. The staff is very proactive about keeping the dogs engaged and active as well as understanding when dogs need a break. At the end of each day, we get a report on what our dog did and who she played with (never get tired of hearing chronicles of Maxine). Our dog has had pretty bad stomach issues so sometimes they need to give her meds and food at odd times - they have never missed a beat. They actually have had very useful recommendations on what could help with her health issues. As for the pricing - it is competitively priced and worth every penny. On a side note, Dana has excellent classes on doggy manners and dog signals. Also, some of the staff does dog sitting on the side. I highly recommend Brooke and Hannah for this. read more

I used to work for Fuzzy Buddy's so I've seen the ins, outs and every corner of this daycare and let me tell you...Dont ever take your dog ANYWHERE ELSE! I trust ONLY THEM to watch my dogs when they need daycare. One of my dogs has pretty severe anxiety and they work so well with him, giving him thunder shirts on extra tough days and they handle him with respect and care. I love Fuzzy Buddy's! I take my dog here for both daycare and training. Dana is great with the training. I have tried other classes before (at Family Dog Training Center) and my dog would not listen to the "corrections." Dana's class taught my dog how to want to be good and earn that reward! Her daycare is also excellent because it is a small group of dogs. There is plenty of room for move around it and there's toys! Its also nice sending my dog to the same place he was trained, I know where he is during the day isn't breaking all of the work I do at home with him. He used to go to a much larger daycare place in downtown, but there were just too many dogs and he'd come home with bad habits (mainly barking and rough playing). read more

I literally went through a ton of legwork to write down everything I possibly could about my animal and even sent a bunch of pictures so I could get her scheduled for trial day. They approved moving forward but they kept offering days and times and then would say they were unavailable within 5 minutes of the email sent. Incredibly frustrating and unfair to customers. Don't offer times and days if they aren't actually available to the person you offered it too. Within 1 buisness day I get but 5 mins...thats unprofessional. read more

Can I tell you how much I heart Fuzzy Buddy's? Well, K the Pug loves the place! We've been coming to Fuzzy since 2010. I drop her off sometimes when we have a hectic work week and are unable to come home to take her out on her daily walk and potty break. You do have to fill out an application form but it isn't anything too crazy. And since most of the time, I don't drop off K for daycare monthly, I can see how the $28/day can get a little steep. You can get a 5 day pass and they take a little off, but it isn't that big of a discount. But I haven't done much comparison since Fuzzys is super close to our house. The staff is really sweet and I think that is why I keep coming back. They know her by name and they also tell you who she played with etc. Not sure if they keep them in crate if they are bad like one of the past reviewers mentioned. They usually separate big dogs from the little guys but sometimes they put them in one room. Our pug loves the big guys! I love the place and K always excited to go. Griffy has been going here for over a year. He gets SO excited when he realizes where he is and always comes home tired and happy. There are several different dogs and they give you a report each day on who your pup played with. Dana, the owner, and her staff are very kind and the type of people you can trust with your pet. Dana also offers training classes on the weekends. Griffy and I took a class about a year ago and our happy with the results. The only improvement would be for them to get a webcam so I could watch the pups play while I am at work. I wish every daycare had this, as I've used a place that had it in the past and it was very enjoyable to watch my dog from the comfort of my office! read more

I'm a total fan of Fuzzy Buddy's Dog Daycare. The people who work their are SO NICE and seem to genuinely love all the dogs. My dog comes home happy, yet tired every day. The good folks that work there even take the time to tell you how your doggy's day went and who their buddies are. I'm not sure how the place is set up, in the back, but if they have a yard to run and play in, they'd easily get five stars! Also, the parking situation is not the best during high traffic hours. They are so on top of it, that sometimes I never get a chance to see my girl in action because they are already getting her stuff together when I am at the door. read more

My dog has been coming here for about 6+ months now and I love it. He is a border collie mix with a pretty crazy ball drive and can sometimes have a low tolerance for other dogs. What really makes this place amazing is how well trained all the staff is. They know dog body language, and what is needed for each dog to be happy and socialize appropriately. They even have my dog on a "break" schedule as he doesn't know how to calm himself down. The one downside is the smell he has when he comes home, but given how happy he is and how much I trust the staff it is easily overlooked. And when I was having trouble with my dog outside of daycare they connected me with one of the staff members who already knew my dog to come and help my train. read more

To be upfront, I will not take my dog back here. There are a couple things I liked about the daycare, but my dog has been showing terrible signs of having had a bad experience. I can't say what that was, but it has taken me a long while to calm her uneasiness when meeting other dogs on-leash since her visit. She had never shown any signs like this prior to the one visit, so on that alone I can't give more than two stars. I was told that toward the end of her 1/2 day that she had some altercations with other dogs. She was put in a low stress environment after that. I'm not sure what caused the altercations. They said they were not sure either. I'm imagining the excessive humping by other dogs might be the cause, but there is no way to tell for sure. I will say that other people seemed very pleased when dropping their dogs off. Their dogs must be having positive experiences. There are a few things you should know about what I saw in the 45 minutes I observed the dog interactions though. 1. Only 3 staff for close to 60 dogs, which is too few in my book 2. A ton of humping. The staff did nothing, literally nothing, to stop that behavior. 3. Dogs urinating and defecating, which I imagine is normal at a daycare. I didn't like the method of clean up though. A person came by, (picked up the solid waste) sprayed the spot with one of those "enzyme" sprays, pushed a wet mop over the spot, and walked away. It seemed less than hygienic. I was told the floors were mopped every other day for a deep cleaning. 4. The place had a distinct urine odor. 5. The people running the place were really nice and very open to talking about the dogs. The seemed to truly love dogs, which is a solid plus. 6. I did not see much aggression between dogs 7. There is a downstairs area where small dogs play and that does not have matted floors. I hope this helps. I wish that my dog had a good experience there, but it's been an uphill battle since that one day. read more

I took my dog here a few times and it was okay. One day I got there and they had him in a kennel in the back, since they said he was making trouble to other dogs. He's usually okay with other dogs so I wasn't sure. And it made me wonder how long they had him in there! The last time we were there, as I went to pick up my dog, someone had left the door open and a small dog got out. Not sure how it got out to the lobby in the first place but that made me very upset and anxious. If it were my dog, he would've bolted down the street or got onto Aurora in the middle of traffic! Luckily, the small dog was caught by the worker and another pet parent. Phew. After that experience, I didn't feel like I could trust Fuzzy Buddy's. But, after that experience, they could've also learned their lesson. Who knows... read more

After our horrible experience with our lab going to the Downtown Dog Lounge- Capitol Hill location, we were very hesitant about ever starting doggie daycare again. Our dog walker convinced us that her dog goes to FB and has always said such positive things that we decided to give them a try. FB's staff is wonderful and engages with the dogs all day, I don't worry anymore that our pooch isn't getting the care he needs. You can tell all of the staff are REAL dog lovers (unlike the hipsters at DDL) that go above and beyond for both the dogs and their owners needs. Kobe runs up to the door when I drop him off so excited for the day, then comes home extremely tired! Update: removing one star because my dog has separation anxiety and was on a list especially for dogs that can't be home alone. This list meant that there was always a spot there if she needed it. This has no been revised so there is no separation anxiety list and daycare must be booked a week in advance. This really is disappointing because the main reason FB worked so well for us was that we could take our dog there instead of leaving her alone to panic if there was a last minute schedule change. read more

LOVE these guys. Our rescued dog had separation anxiety, so we took her here while we worked on that with her. She's not a super playful dog, but there are corners for her to hang out in, a small dog play area that she enjoys, and an office to hang out in when she gets overwhelmed. She gets so excited when she sees us drive this way that she will not stop barking & pulls like crazy to get inside. Plus, we found our regular dog sitters here. Hooray! read more

After trying other dog day care services that were lackluster (Downtown Dog Lounge for instance) I am blown away by Fuzzy Buddies. The play area is clean and always well staffed. We found this daycare for our mini Aussie after moving to Shoreline and we couldn't be happier. The girls who run it are wonderful. They're very nice and very professional and I can tell they're attentive to the dogs too. First I started taking my pitbull mix puppy, Nova, to puppy class taught by Brooke on Wednesday nights and I love it! Brooke is super well informed and gives a lot of training tips while also doing a good job narrating play so it's easier for owners to tell when it's appropriate to intervene. I then started taking her to daycare on Mondays since it's the closest daycare to my house that was open long enough for the length of my work days. I wasn't super worried about her trial day but the staff went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable. They made sure to tell me that it was totally ok if I called to check on her as many times as I needed to feel comfortable and when I did call once they gave me a detailed report of how she was doing (what dogs she was playing with, how comfortable she was acting, etc.). The staff is always so friendly and professional and they are so responsive to any requests you have about your dog. The drop off and pick up is set up super nicely so all of the dogs there aren't getting over amped seeing everyone come and go. I have absolutely no bad things to say about Fuzzy Buddy's and I definitely would recommend taking your dog here for both daycare and classes! read more

There are just a couple of cons, we moved from Denver and the place our dog went to before had concrete floors, while I'm sure the padded floor is nicer for his pads, he seemed to burn more energy on the concrete and it filed his nails pretty nicely. I took my dog here last weekend and he loved it! The dogs all had so much fun playing together. The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. I like that the dogs have an alternative to local dog parks when the weather isn't so great. Can't beat the price-$3, compared to Great Dog ($10) and they also have dog daycare. The people that came to playtime were really nice as well. There were some fairly aggressive dogs, but other than that I enjoyed bringing my dog here and I am sure he liked it as well. read more

This place is absolutely amazing. My pup has been coming to Fuzzy Buddy's once a week for about a month now and she LOVES it here. I started bringing her because I felt bad she was cooped up inside all day while I was at work and not releasing enough energy. Boy does she get that energy out here! I pick her up and she is exhausted! She now waits at the door every morning hoping its a "daycare day." The staff is also great! They are super friendly, thorough, and definitely have a love for animals. I had tried out several different doggy day cares and none of them compare to Fuzzy Buddy's. I have to drive a good 20 minutes out of my way each time I drop my dog off and pick her up but it is totally worth it for me. I know my dog is in great hands and is having a good time. We take our pooch to Fuzzy Buddy's about twice a week. She LOVES it there. I cannot say enough nice things about this daycare. Dana and her staff truly care about the dogs and they take great care of them. One thing that we love about FB compared to other daycares that we checked out was that they limit the number of dogs that they take in each day to only 30 dogs. Some of the daycares around Seattle take up to a hundred or more dogs. How can we be sure that our dog is getting taken care of and looked after when there are that many other dogs around to look after? At FB there isn't that problem!! Our dog gets sooo excited when we start to get close to Fuzzy Buddy's. She knows that she will have a fun day there. They have an air conditioned inside so the dogs don't melt in the heat, and pools in the back outside part so they can play in the water. Hands down, best in Seattle! read more

We love taking our Lab to play with his Fuzzy Buddy's. He loves the staff as much as the "pack". Tip can't wait to get through the door and into the playroom. It's reassuring to see him excited to see each staff member too. This is a great option for socializing your dog in a safe, fun and caring environment. We can have him there half a day for less than having a dog walker take him out for an hour. It's also nice to know that all the dogs have been vaccinated, altered and evaluated for behavior. It's fun to get the "play reports" when we pick our dog up. read more

I've taken two classes from Dana and won't hesitate to take another. Dana is a CPDT and uses only positive methods. She creatively keeps her classes upbeat and positive for everyone. She is very good about offering help and advice to *all* of her students. She teaches a nice variety of training classes, from puppy class and various levels of obedience to tricks you can do with your dog. In addition, the atmosphere of Fuzzy Buddys is very pleasant especially the soft matting on the training floor. Dana also hosts a variety of dog related workshops at Fuzzy Buddys. What you won't find here is leash corrections (yanking a dog's neck), training via punishment, etc. Dana is compassionate with animals and respectful of their guardians. I HIGHLY recommend Fuzzy Buddy's. We adopted our dog, Kaci, in Oct. 2014 and quickly came to realize that as a cattle dog/border collie mix, he had a lot more energy than we thought. We were exercising him each morning but determined that we could afford dog daycare at least once a week and it would be good for him.. and for us! We picked Fuzzy's based on yelp reviews and proximity to my office. Kaci went to Fuzzy Buddy's 1x/week from November - July, when we moved out of state and could not have had a better experience. They offered a free trial day, where I could call and ask how he was doing. Most all the staff offered a short review of how he did when we would pick him up, and I could always ask if they didn't. They were quick to offer up advice about his behavior if I asked for it. He always arrived excited and came home exhausted. Their hours are great and they are flexible about scheduling.
