It does have anchor tenants at all sides, so remember where you come in from. What I appreciate about this mall is the prices at the food court. I'm not sure if there is an agreement or something, but most of the food operators have at least a couple of items under $10, making it very affordable. Some even sell coffee or tea at under $2. You do see many elderly Asians here, maybe that's why there is cheaper options? They do occupy the tables at the food court chatting for a long period of time. Think of this as another version of Timmies, but with more food options. I was told the T&T here is the largest and it is busy at all hours. The parking area near it is always full. Park elsewhere where it has more empty spots. I like this Asian mini mart (Smart Save) where you can get many food stuff from Asia that are not available in T&T. There is also Langley Farm Market here which has nice produce. There are also Daiso, Dollarama, JYSK, Forum home appliances, etc here. Interesting mix of tenants. Crowded on weekends especially when there are special events in the atrium. It's like a typical mall you will see in Asia, packed with families.

After navigating the maze to customs (typical), while absorbing a bit of the cultureI arrived to a surprisingly calm, low stress process to baggage. I walked right up to a customs kiosk, chose my preferred language, answered the typical questions, snapped a pic and received a slip of paper. That paper went to an officer and I was on my way. No fuzz, no language barriers, no targeted "intimidation intending"!interrogation, no stare downs...can you tell I've recently been to Germany? Just peace, and honesty, it looked to be that way for most everyone who passed through. Our return trip to Houston I was reminded that as a country, we've pissed Canada off. My husband was randomly selected for additional screening...okay, but then my bag was super searched. The same one with the same items I've carried to 6+ other countries in the last couple of years

This airport has won awards for its special nature inspired West Coast design. Highlights include an aquarium with 800 animals, a creek, Indigenous sculptures and totem poles throughout the airport. As with all airports, it is congested at times but being the second busiest international airport in the country, I expect this.

Metro Parking - Richmond Hospital

Metro Parking - Richmond Hospital

Beware!!! I parked in the parkade at Richmond General Hospital yesterday at 12:10pm. My husband &…read moremy elderly mother (who walks slowly with the aid of a cane) were with me. As we parked I noticed 2 men wearing orange safety vests standing at the end of the row of spaces we were in. We slowly walked across the parkade to area with the parking pay station and elevator. It took us 2 or 3 minutes to walk to the meter, process the payment for the space, and get into the elevator. We were in the hospital for a little over an hour. When we got back to the car I had a weird, uneasy feeling, and I looked around to see if the men I had noticed earlier were around. No sign of them. I checked my vehicle, and nothing seemed amiss - no marks, notes, etc. So we got into my vehicle and left the parkade to go home. That evening, I looked up the website for Metro Parking, intending to find out how they determine prices when using the "Add Time" feature on their meters (a whole other story!) . While on their site, I noticed they had a section you could click on to see if you had any Violation notices. No idea why, but I clicked on it and entered my license number. Surprise! I had been issued a parking violation at RGH that very afternoon. The time the violation was issued? 12:17pm. Suddenly, it all became crystal clear. The men I had seen when we arrived at the parkade were parking enforcement officers. They had stood there and looked directly at me as I parked, waited until we exited the vehicle and walked away to go get a ticket at the meter, and then issued my vehicle a violation notice for parking without paying. Since you need your parking space number to pay for parking at this lot, you can't pay until you have actually parked and walked over to a meter. These losers were simply stalking & preying on people parking there by recording a violation as soon as they left the vehicle. Not only that, but they didn't even bother to leave a ticket on the windshield to notify me that I had been issued a violation! Had I not looked online, I would not have known about this until the unpaid fine was sent to an agency for collection. I looked at my receipt and noticed that my purchase time was recorded on it as 12:15pm, exactly TWO MINUTES before the time the violation was issued. I called Metro Parking soon as their office opened this morning and spoke to a customer service rep. I detailed what had happened and stated that I did not appreciate the predatory stalking tactic being employed by their attendants. She looked up the violation notice and I pointed out that my receipt showed I purchased my parking before the time stated on the violation. She then looked up my receipt and credit card transaction and agreed that I had paid before that notice was filed. To her credit, she removed the violation and apologized. Those attendants were deliberately trying to rip people off. By not even placing a ticket on my vehicle, it would likely have been weeks before any collections action kicked in - at that point, who would even remember the times they parked? Plus, with this being a hospital parkade, people tend to already be upset and dealing with issues that leave them rattled enough to not remember little details like that. My bet would be that this scam has caught more than a few people unaware, and that Metro Parking has been pocketing a lot of undeserved parking fines. The customer service rep said she would file a report and that the attendants would be spoken to. I have my doubts about that. My violation notice has been cancelled, so my personal situation is resolved. But how many other unsuspecting victims have fallen prey to this shady business practice?
