A couple of things to take into consideration before your first class at this location: - Arrive 10 minutes before. The location is on the second floor of Esplanade. It was kind of hard to find, so I had to call the front desk to make sure I was at the right place. - Wear comfortable gym clothes. A supportive sports bra and preferably leggings are recommended because you will be on the floor a lot. - Hydration!!! This class will have you sweating. As for the studio itself, it was very clean and cute. They have some clothes you can buy if you ever forget something. Lastly, the instructor, Luiza, was incredible. She was extremely friendly and had high energy. She corrected my form a couple of times, which I appreciate because it means she cares for your journey. She was perfect for anybody first starting. I tried to reach out to them and give them the opportunity to rectify the situation before I went to the Internet. But people need to know not to come here. The class itself and Greg was amazing. I would have wanted to actually join. It was not busy there where two people there... terrible reply. Maybe if she smiled and was a bit friendlier as opposed to looking down on me the conversation would have been a bit different. If you get anything at all out of this the person at the front desk is the first impression. At least say Hello to the customers. When situations happen be apologetic and sensitive to it.

From the moment I walked in, the energy was high, the music was on point, and the staff made me feel welcomed and hyped instead of intimidated. Chanty is an incredible instructor super clear with her cues, motivating without being over the top, and really good at checking in and offering options whether you're new or more advanced. The mix of treadmill and floor work had my heart rate up the entire class, but the time flew by because the programming and playlist were so good. What really sealed the deal for me was the experience after class. The locker rooms and showers were spotless and perfectly equipped with everything I needed: towels, toiletries, hair products, dryers literally all the post-workout essentials so I could leave feeling refreshed and ready to go on with my day. If you're in the Aventura area and want a challenging, fun, and well-supported workout, I can't recommend Barry's Aventura enough. I'll definitely be back for more of Chanty's classes!

I saw an ad for the Aescape robot massage…read morewhile scrolling Facebook - Aescape places these massage machines in different gyms and spas, so I picked the Equinox in Aventura since it was the closest. Check-in at the main gym front entrance was quick and pleasant , but once I got to the desk in the spa area it took a minute to find anyone to actually help me. Eventually someone showed me to the room and had me change into the little fitted top and bottom they provide. You also take off your shoes and jewelry and put your hair up so the machine arms don't get caught. Everything is computerized [no surprise there] When you lie face-down, there's basically an iPad-esque screen right under you. From this screen you pick your massage style, pressure, focus areas, ambiance music, adjust the table... all of it. Then the machine scans your body to map out your stress points like it's building a strategic plan for your back. FYI -- if you move, even a little, the machine pauses until you're back in position. I chose the full-body massage with extra attention on my shoulders. Each section had phases -- a warm-up, the main massage, and a cooldown. You can skip past any section if you want and adjust pressure at any time. Now, my mind kept flashing to every robot movie I've ever seen but honestly? This was one of the best massages I've had. The machine knew exactly where my shoulder knots were hiding. When I finished, there was nobody at the tiny spa desk again, so I just quietly walked out. Wasn't sure what else to do lol I give the massage itself 5 stars, but took one off because the spa area felt completely unattended both when I walked in and when I walked out. I wasn't even sure if I was supposed to check out with someone or just disappear into the sunset I will say I recall the person who helped me saying it was a relatively new addition to the gym [I think], and I did receive a follow up text asking about my experience. For the price [$19 to $$29] it cant be beat. I'm definitely going back, not just for the cost though but because that massage actually got the knots out of my shoulders!

The agent spent the time listening to my issue finding the answer and solution sending me an email following up and giving me next steps. The gym equipment is broken and not fixed.. like two treadmills work and one step mill and for weeks!! One star for the nice front desk employees, other than the guy who is so quiet on his computer the whole time and shows up late 15 minutes to open the gym on Saturdays with attitude.. very sad. They took out all the the TVs to watch during cardio- I still like to come here cause there's a working digital scale lol and it's the closest gym to my place. I'm considering just going to la fitness because for this price point, I want options & amenities.
