If it weren't for the customers who were smoking I wouldn't be writing a bad review. That alone, made it intolerable to sit inside. Unfortunately we had already ordered our food, before the old ladies started lighting up, so we had to wait. Only problem there, is that it was a 50 minute wait for four people. I've lived on the Texas coast my entire life and know this place has been around forever. I decided to throw healthy eating to the winds and indulge myself! Food is always great. This is always our first stop of the day when visiting Surfside we love the food. Philly cheesesteak is the best. It's a must have on the first day and last day. Wife got the shrimp basket really enjoyed it and the fried mushrooms are delicious. read more

I stopped in here for a late night dinner (at 9pm) after being at the beach and craved fried shrimp. Their fried shrimp basket came with 8 fried shrimp (the menu said 9), and a good portion of fries. The shrimp basket was only about $10. I ordered a Dr. Pepper which came in a can with a cup of ice, and the Dr. Pepper was $1. All in all, the meal was about $11, which was what I was looking for! Fried Shrimp and inexpensive! I would only deduct points for the menu saying 9 fried shrimp, but only receiving 8. But everything was tasty and good. I would definitely recommend. read more

My family of 8 was looking for a quick bite and we were craving burgers. After looking at Google ratings, this seemed like the place to go. When we arrived, it is a little hole in the wall and honestly needs to be updated. Everything seems very worn down and feels dark. Regardless, we wanted to give it the benefit of the doubt. Came here for a Monday night dinner with Aunt and Uncle who are regulars. There was one cook and one server so service was a bit slow but we'll worth the wait. I got the burger and it was amazing. Nice little local bar & restaurant with indoor (smoking allowed) and outdoor seating right across from the splash pad and port. Nothing fancy, but everyone is super friendly and just has that small town feel. I always get their cheesesteak, which is ooey and gooey packed wmeat, onions and peppers. Nice selection of bottled beers and soft drinks. It's a local favorite and you'll see why. read more

They have veggie burgers!! So happy to see a veggie option at a burger joint :) The service was so fast, we ordered via phone and picked it up in 20 min total. The prices were reasonable. Best burger I have had in several years!! The menu doesn't say it but they come with fries. We also ordered chilli cheese fries and cream cheese stuffed peppers. The cc fries and stuffed peppers were exactly as expected. The staff inside were extremely nice and friendly. It also seemed like they have cleaned up the inside quite a bit from the last time we were there. ***When our husbands came in and smelled our burgers they decided they wanted to order some too so we called in another order! Unfortunately they gobbled it down before we took any photos. One had a mushroom Swiss and the other had the Philly cheese steak.
