Family and I are staying a couple of nights for mini vacay and last we walked to Seahorse Bar & Grill since it was close to us. I hade the shrimp tacos with cilantro sauce and pico, they were small, only three shrimp per taco, but very tasty with the sauce. Wife had fried Oysters and they were very good and large portion. Kids had chicken bites and mozzarella cheese bites. All was good and the fries were very good. The waitress was attentive & very polite and the ambience was very relaxing on the outside deck. Will try again someday when we come back, sorry forgot to take photos. read more

Great area to spend a long summer weekend and the restaurant literally sits right on the beach. The Frozen drinks looked great coming off the bar but I stuck with a local brew for my Shrimp and Chicken basket and then a Corona with the neck dipped in salt for my patio/deck time. This is an excellent spot by the beach to enjoy a meal and a few drinks. The view alone makes it worth the visit, and our server provided outstanding service. We ordered the crawfish and snow crab, which unfortunately were a bit bland. However, the Spicy SBG burger was really good and definitely a highlight of the meal. The drinks were decent as well. They also have live music downstairs, which added a fun and lively touch to the experience. The food here was really yummy but our server didn't really have any answers to our questions. I got the grilled mahi with green beans and a side salad with balsamic dressing and I really enjoyed it, especially the mango salsa! I will note that the side salad can only be the house salad and not swapped for something else like a Caesar. My friend got the grilled salmon with Mac n cheese and mashed potatoes and while the salmon was fantastic she said the Mac and cheese and potatoes didn't stand out. The ambiance was great, we sat outside and it looks right over the beach. I would recommend wearing sun protection though because, while it is covered, you will most likely still be at least partially in the sun. Would come again! read more

The most perfect view from the balcony! It was a very windy chilly day but the sun was very warm and warmed the soul. Homemade chips and salsa had just the right amount of spice for a wonderful bite. The salsa comes out warm temperature too. The sweet tea was wonderfully made in house, not fountain like most places. My sever had the best fun attitude. So helpful answering questions about different food choices. The crows and sea gulls were fun to watch and loved eating chips from hand! The grilled shrimp were awesome. Cooked to perfection. Great location next to the beach with a nice ocean view. Interior is nicely designed and spacious for a beachside restaurant. Food is okay, some items are fair pricing but the seafood can be pricey at $25+/per dish. I got the chicken tender sandwich, which was generous portioning but tasted bland. It would be better if there was some seasoning to it, besides pepper. However, my friends got the tacos, fish, and burger and they liked the food so perhaps stick to those options. read more

My go to when visiting surf side beach. It's one of the only places there but it's bomb. Drinks are always good and staff is super friendly. The outdoor seating right by the water is such a vibe. I've had many things from their menu but I'd say my faves are the boudin balls, wings and shrimp tacos. read more

Went here for breakfast one day , it only consisted of a few different foods for them to call it a "buffet". All the foods I did choose from tasted bad, which is crazy since I'm not a picky eater. Employees had bad attitude. We went on a Sunday at 6:30 and restaurant closed at 8. We wanted to sit outside on the patio so we had a short wait, no big deal. The problem was that every employee we encountered had a sour look on their face. Multiple employees were complaining about the crowd and that people were still coming. Once we were seated our server was decent, but kept getting nasty looks from other workers the whole time we were there. Management needs to train on making experience memorable for guests, and if they don't want to deal with "tourists" than maybe they should work elsewhere.
