I was first introduced to Jewel Trendz in 2005, when my mother and mother-in-law purchased a mother's ring and family ring for my husband and I, that our children presented to us during our wedding. The mother's ring emerald stone fell out a few weeks later and when I took it in, they replaced it at no cost. This happened at least 2 more times (dang emerald ). I was recommended by a friend because I had gotten engaged and my future hubby's parents had an heirloom wedding band to give to me. The wedding band had 15 diamonds to work with. I went to this store to have them design two bands (one would've been too much since my engagement ring is a somewhat large 3ct emerald cut diamond). I usually visit Jewel Trendz for replacement watch batteries and have always encountered friendly, helpful staff. When the metal clasp on my favorite watch broke, I was ready to write the watch off, thinking there was no way to fix it. As a last resort, I took the watch into Jewel Trendz so they could tell me it was officially a goner . When I arrived, there were several customers at the counters. Immediately, Josh greeted me warmly and took my watch to his back room. He came back 3 minutes later with my watch, which was not only fixed (it needed a new pin), but the watch was steam cleaned. Avo is the best!!! My fiancee and I had purchased my diamond online and wanted a custom setting made. We found that most places just want to mount the diamond on a pre-made setting. We didn't want that. My diamond is a pear, they have unique shapes and really need a custom setting to bring out the beautiful shape of the diamond. We went to Jewel Trendz on the recommendation of a friend and I could not be happier! Avo custom designed my ring and printed out two different resin models so I could make sure everything was exactly how I wanted it before they started making it with metal. He also had lots of good advice about ring material, prong locations, etc, to make sure the center stone is secure. What I noticed was Jewel Trendz sets their pave diamonds a lot closer together than the big online retailers. This creates a really flawless look where there aren't big gaps between the small pave diamonds and makes the setting sparkle and shine far more. Even better, Jewel Trendz backs up the quality of their work. They said if one of the small pave stones falls out, they will replace and remount a new one. We stopped in after lunch because I can't resist checking out every jewelry store I find. The shop isn't large but they have a lot of items in their space. My only complaint is that it was warm inside, and I was thankful for the car A/C when we left. I don't doubt that the warmth gives them a lot more fingerprints to clean off. The young man helping us was helpful and friendly, but I was surprised to see him wearing an incredibly cheap watch. Granted, they don't sell watches there, but I think of watches as the #1 jewelry choice for men. While I didn't purchase anything on this visit, I looked at a few items that I might return for before long. The prices were a bit high but they discount everything, which is an over complicated way of selling in my opinion. I would much rather see the actual price instead of waiting for the salesperson to calculate it on their cheap portable machine. But, the important part is that they have a lot of nice pieces and that's what will get me back. They also do jewelry repairs and modifications, and can create custom jewelry. I didn't check on their supply of loose stones, so I'm unsure if you need to provide your own. I hope not, but I truly didn't check that option out.
