Okay, I am impressed, I was just helping a friend who was shopping for an engagement ring for his GF of 8 years, before I stumbled to this place. Previously, we've been hunting for the elusive "perfect" diamond all thru his Yelp's list of jewelry shops all over LA's jewelry district after works for almost 2 weeks straight (it is a bit of spontaneous decision for him to pick on this particular point in time) before we ended up to this place. I was a bit sceptical at that time. After went thru various type of treatment, from slick to patronizing, to full of self confidences to the point of arrogance, and to being (a bit too) kindly, I was being a bit impatient on the progress of the efforts and getting more confused of the choices that were presented. Later on the week, my friend called me to meet him at this small mom-and-pop (and uncle/niece) shop at the jewelry corner of Hong Kong Plaza in Rowland Heights. When I got there, I saw him chatted casually with Louisa, the niece of the owner of the business as if they are a long time friends, even though they just barely met. If I must say, Louisa is like a breath of fresh air. She is genuinely care about my friend's needs and aspirations. The store itself offers a relatively modest selections of diamonds and settings (if compared to other stores we've been to before in jewelry district), but she is willing to and work and understand my friends needs, and actually provided him with honest assessments and advices that fair and certain times, actually against their own interest to help my friend in making his final decision. And, at the end, per he suggestion, he didn't end up getting the diamond from Jeweltique. However, he bought the setting from Jeweltique, all due to her courtesy and services. I was genuinely surprised that they are not being reviewed yet by Yelp. I am more than happy to give her my first review ever for yelp, and for them.
